Beans & Brews Coffee House

Let’s make this clear first — I’m a great tipper. As a former cocktail waitress & bartender I know that tips are crucial for servers everywhere & I truly appreciate on-​point service — it’s an art. Now, I expect good service in exchange for my generous tips, but you can kind of suck & still get a decent 20% minimum outta me unless you’ve got boogers hanging out of your nose dripping snot into my food/​drink. That being said, I cringe at tipping when I go to Beans & Brews because their coffee isn’t really that great, the prices are very high, the service is usually mediocre, & they are always, always slower than molasses at the drive thru no matter which one I go to. Yet I still tip the baristas there out of habit & guilt — I don’t want to be «that stingy lady».

The last 3 times I’ve gone thru the drive thru I’ve still gotten mediocre coffee, my order wrong (forgot sweetener yuk!), sh*$tty, slow, service and yet I continue to tip out of guilt. Here’s why I will never tip them again & avoid this place to go to Starbucks — instead of receiving a obligatory «Thank you» & half-​hearted attempt to smile I’ve received snide looks & silence when I give them a tip. Once, ok you’re having a bad day, twice, maybe you’re just a b*#x!, 3 times & your mama didn’t teach you manners & you’ve lost my business.

Worst service ever. Normally this place is on it but today they are not. I stood ready to order for 15 mins. No lie with no one in front of me and never even got looked at or told they would be right with me. When I finally asked if I was going to be helped the guy looked at me like I was crazy. I waited patiently for another couple of minutes then I was helped. I offered some advice to the guy that he should at least let people know that you seen them and will be right with them. He said there is only 3 of us here. I said that I understand they are busy but should at least let the customers know you saw them standing there. Never got an apology. Do not go to this location. I do not recommend it!
