The Wash Bored has a ton of washers available including large and extra large front-loading commercial machines, which were exactly what I needed. I had to wash some heavy canvas and the extra large machines took them without so much as a shimmy. Prices are very reasonable– the extra large machine was $ 4.50/load; Other washers are less. Dryers are $.25/7 minutes. So it’s a great place to get any kind of washing you need done. However none of that was what prompted me to write a review. I accidentally left one of my items in the dryer. This was a problem because it was stuff for my work and would have been expensive to replace, let alone having to endure remarks about my forgetfulness from coworkers. One of the employees saw it in the dryer and immediately stored it away for safe keeping. When I realized I left it there, I called and he knew exactly what I was talking about. Drove over to pick it up and all problems were solved. Thanks for the great service!

Even though I live close to several laundromats, this has become the only one for me. The Wash Bored gets high marks right off the bat for having an automatic front door. That may seem trivial, but when I’m carrying bags of laundry along with my detergent and other supplies, it makes a big difference. I like my laundromat to be thoughtful like that. There are two change machines that have never been out when I am there. They also have vending machines for both laundry supplies and snacks, but the location is also within walking distance of several eateries(Reflections a block down, Isaly’s up the road and West View Park Plaza a stone’s throw away). You will also find both a men’s and a women’s bathroom. The whole place is kept very clean and tidy. They have single, double and quad load washers as well as large and small dryers. Few machines are out of order and I can say from experience that the owners are quick with any refund and a kind note. Phone numbers are also posted around the Wash Bored should anything go drastically wrong or malfunction so one of the owners can be alerted and take action. The prices just went up on the washers earlier this year, but I guess that’s unavoidable. They have a radio but no TV, but I usually end up listening to podcasts on my phone anyway while sitting in a comfy chair at one of the tables. There are always magazines or papers left around to read as well as the community board where people will post menus, items for sale, services and other miscellaneous community items. Oh, and I can’t forget the coupon exchange, a box full of coupons for the sharing. Next to the coupon box is a basket of single socks left behind and«looking for mates.» Another nice thing they do is $ 1.50 days — one day of the week when the cost to use one of the smaller washers is only $ 1.50. I recommend this place to anyone who is nearby and looking for a nice laundromat.
