99 Nails Salon

The worst nail place i’ve been to in a while. The people here were very friendly and the salon was clean and very pretty. However, those were the only good things about it. The man who did my nails was very messy in doing my gel manicure. The polish was all along the sides of my skin which I thought he would go back and fix but never did. In short, it looked extremely sloppy for something I paid a decent price for. I tried to cut him some slack because I changed my mind on color after he had painted one nail. Instead of taking the polish off and starting over with the very first coat of clear polish… he put the new color on as if I wouldn’t notice. I’m not exactly sure how the gel works but shouldn’t they do the same thing to every single nail? Lastly, my final complaint. After biting my tounge the entire time, he finished my nails and there was an obvious smudge at the tip of my pointer finger. Instead of re-​painting the nail to look smooth and shiny… he filed it so it wasn’t so noticeable.
I’m sorry, I will not be coming back.

This place made a mess of my nails. Acrylic all over my skin and a rushed streaky paint job. Had to go over to Sally’s to buy a high grit nail file to fix them up and repaint them myself. Not comfortable either. It was a hot August afternoon and all they had on was a fan on. The only plus was the place is dirt cheap for a fill (15 bucks) and open on Sunday’s.

As a long term customer at this salon (99 Nails), I am satisfied with the product and the service. Kim, her husband, Danny, and the staff are really nice and in general do a very good job. One thing that I really like about the salon itself is that it is fresh and clean. Conversely, the salon in the mall (operated by entirely different management) is basically filthy, dusty and dingy. Occasionally I go to the mall and will only allow them to give me a manicure. I wouldn’t even think of having a pedicure or waxing services because I don’t feel it is clean. 99 Nails is a sanitary place. Pricing for services is consistent with other local nail salons.

I’ve been here twice, both times I got a gel manicure. I’ve always gotten gel manicures, and the first time I got them done it started to peel off relatively early compared to what I’m used to, but I chalked it up to the brand of nail polish I chose. The second time I went the woman did an awful job. When they dipped my hand in wax it took off nail polish from the sides and bottom but she said «that’s how it’s supposed to look». I told her it was not and she added another coat on top rather than re-​doing it like she should have. It is now less than a week later and the gel manicure has chipped in two places.
I do not recommend going here. They rush you and do a very poor job. Even if you tell them you are displeased they do not do anything to correct their mistakes.

Nice and clean salon, but over priced. The nail tech was not that experienced either. My nails were too wide and not short enough I had to go to another nail salon to correct their poor quality work!

I have visited this salon 3 times within the last few months. I am very impressed. Very clean & friendly. The hot rocks massage with the pedicure was absolutely awesome. Strongly recommend if you get one if the men.
However, I was rushed on a recent visit and did not appreciate it. When I first arrived the salon was completely empty. The tech was taking her time, conversing, etc. Well a party of 4 came in, apparently she must have known the woman and she worked so freaking fast all the relaxing I did was completely undone! She may as well had told me to get the hell out.
Never went back! Never will after that experience.

Don’t let the shopping plaza fool you. This is THE one place I have been searching for over 3 years. Customer service is amazing — the world evolves around you. Very clean, fresh air, calm energy, professional and relaxing to go to get your mani and pedi done. Go alone or enjoy time with your friends — you always receive the utmost treatment and it is very affordable. I had Kim and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. When I come back to R.I. For a visit, I will definitely stop by Kim. Thank you so much for everything. Jita
