One of my favorite places. They make you feel very at home here. The prices are affordable (items and lessons). Terri (the owner) is a great harp teacher too! A very warm person, and a very skilled harpist. She knows how to teach in a way that fits the student, without being too pushy, and having an infinite amount of patience.

This is the best music store in the state. They have a great stock of instruments and music supplies, and what they don’t have they will gladly order for you. Instrument repairs are always well done and the prices are reasonable. The private teachers the store hires are professional musicians and skilled teachers (not just some random guitar hero wannabes).

Robert’s is solid.
I’m a violinist/violin teacher and always recommend that my students go here to purchase books, strings, rosin, etc. They really have a decent selection of music and supplies for all types of instruments, it seems, and while I can’t speak for their string instrument rentals, I know a lot band instrument renting goes on here for a reasonable price. Since they do have music and supplies spanning such a broad range, I tend to just order music offline from Shar but when I need a common book like Suzuki or a string in a pinch I always go here. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the store is clean, bright, and well-organized.
