Literally one of the best skating experiences I’ve had in Nj. I’m from NY so I’m used to the lavish skating rinks of NYC, and since moving to NJ I’ve been searching for once for all 4 years. Come to find out that ther is on literally 15 minutes away. And it’s indoors which is a definite plus. Food is sort of expensive but nothing unexpected. Skate rental is great. And my mom and sister both purchased tickets and ended up not skating and was able to get their money back. Which I think was the plus side of everything.

I really enjoy ice skating and this is a nice rink. Admission prices have gone up a little in the past few years which I’m not crazy about, but the snack bar isn’t bad, you can get lunch for around $ 5-$ 6. The hot cocoa is pretty good too. They have skate guards on duty all the time, they will step in if someone is having trouble. Also when really crowded there was an emt there. They wear fluorescent so you can find them easily. I recommend buying your own skates if you go often enough. Those rental skates have definitely seen better days :-)

Love the Mercer County Skating Rink! There’s just something about skating outside and breathing in the fresh winter air that makes me smile. For a local rink, they do a great job catering to families. They host a bunch of free skating sessions on the weekends, offer lessons, and support local hockey teams as well. They have a huge fire place in the center of the lobby where you can warm up after a great skate. I just love this place! Plus, it’s super duper cheap!

Great place for beginners! Skate rental is only $ 2 and admission is $ 6. You could come in and stay for however long as long as its between 10−3pm on a weekday. People who come are typically young high school-ers or parents with young children. Its a non-intimidating environment and l definitely appreciate that there’s lots of space for me to fall without having someone skating over my fingers(my biggest skating fear!) After 3pm, high school hockey teams will take over the rink for their practice sessions. Really friendly cool ppl here, just happy to have you around!
