Love this place. My kids only want their birthday cakes from here. They don’t only look good but are delicious. Love their pastries too!

So nice and polite and their cakes are beautiful! Whenever I need to get a cake i always order them from here, plus their prices are really fair.

I’m a little torn about how many stars to give this place. Let’s start with the good — the place showcases desserts beautifully and makes you want to buy everything. I got a bunch of small bites and my whole family loved them. The reason I have to give 3 stars instead of 5 is because I came here wanting to buy macarons. If the front page of their website has macarons, I’m expecting macarons! However they didn’t have any, and they only make them occasionally. That was quite misleading and disappointing.

I ordered a specialty cake for my son’s performance this summer and my heart dropped when I saw the cake. I had sent a picture for inspiration and they ended up simply printed the photo on edible paper and plopping on top with a couple small fondant circles around it. The image didn’t look good and made peoples mouths black. Since the event was in an hour there was nothing I could do when my husband came home with it. Therefore, I will stick with Gerardo’s only for their store-​front and not their custom cakes.

Love the presentation, you feel like trying every single thing my favorite is their cheesecake… Never had such an awesome cheesecake any place else.

I strongly believe that we should always try to support our local small businesses. In an effort to do our part (and get a yummy treat), we dropped in and and bought a bit of everything. The urge hit again a few months later so I dragged my husband to this «incredible bakery right in town!» This time the experience was completely different. The girls behind the counter were so dismissive and rude that I was actually embarrassed. We had walked in and waited for service behind two women, who were together. And waited, and waited. No «hello», no «just a moment, be right with you.» As I was about to ask for service, another customer entered. One of the cashiers immediately greeted and offered to help her. Yikes! Awkward. Too many minutes later, one of the cashiers begrudgingly engaged us. Of course, I walked out disappointed and empty handed. Nothing, absolutely nothing, not even an amazing treat, is worth that level of disrespect.

Amazing, absolutely amazing! I had birthday cake for the first time in years since being diagnosed with celiacs disease. I was able to eat the chocolate gluten-​free cake. My entire family ate it, too, and said it was the BEST cake they ever had despite being gluten-​free. Highly recommend stopping and trying their other desserts.

Absolutely fresh, delicious and creative bakery. Recently had a baby shower for my daughter in law and the cake was adorable and delicious. Everyone wanted to know where we got it. I also got my mother in law her 90^th birthday party cake there. The best!

Found a hair strand inside my cake! Didn’t expect this. Have bought cakes from here twice. The first time it the cakes we bought were very nice n didn’t have hair strands in them. They should wear hairnets to avoid this. I will not be going back to this place.

This is my favorite place ever. I would drive here everyday if I could! I love their cannoli and their carrot cake slice is to die for! They also make the best cakes. I get cakes for every occasion here! It is the perfect place to go to get pastry for the holidays! The service is great and the employees are so nice! I am always greeted once I walk in the door! You can always walk in and find something that you will enjoy. Even if you need a cake last minute, you can walk right in and pick a cake out from the case and they will gladly have something written on it for you. I highly recommend this bakery!

Gerardo’s has always been a treat to stop in for something sweet. Everything we have gotten there has been very good. The pastries, cannoli, and cookies have made the family very happy. The crew working is always very nice and a pleasure to work with. The prices are reasonable for what you get but not cheap.

Gerardo’s made my wedding experience so much better. From the moment we had the cake testing to the delivery of the cake I was thoroughly pleased. Professional and experience shows in how they deal with their new customers and those who are have been coming back time and again. I would recommend them to anyone who wants pain free and delicious wedding cake experiences.

I have been to this bakery many times … Before and after the reno. They make one of the best treats in town. everything from their macaroon’s, pastries, cookies, cupcakes, brownies are awesome. But their cakes are the best. My nieces and nephews have had their bday cakes from here and more recently they made a state of the art Kate Spade cake for my baby shower which not only looked perfect but tasted heavenly! Most of the cake was consumed by the end of the shower! The only sad part was we didn’t have enough left over to gorge on later !(which might be a good thing ;))

Good stuff here! Having just got back from Italy I was on the hunt for some «real» croissants. Let me tell you, its not easy to find them here in Mass. I must’ve gone to a dozen bakeries and no one had them. I asked at Gerardo’s and they did a special order of them for me. They were BIG, and had the yummy light sugar glaze on them. Not as good as Italy’s of course but sure as heck better then anything I was finding in the stores. They aren’t cheap though, $ 2.50 each! Ouch, and pretty greasy and heavy, but again better then the store bought ones. I also tried a lobster claw pastry yesterday. It was huge, rich, and very yummy, however, I recommend eating them closer to room temp then fresh out of the refrigerator case. They just taste better and are softer. This place has a ton of great looking pastries! It all looks very decadent and delicious. If your looking for yummy European delights, look no farther then Gerardo’s, you won’t be disappointed. :)

Amazingggggg. Totally addicting. Love their cannolis, my boyfriend loves their caramel eclairs. He got me a sample box of treats for my birthday — cupcakes, mini éclair, mini cannoli, petit four, chocolate covered strawberry, cheesecake. Everything was delicious!

Great for dessert baked goods (not so much for daily loaves). Wonderful selection! We tried the cannolis, tiramisu, and rum cake. All were delicious. The prices are a little on the higher side, but, worth it for the occasional indulgence.

I tend to review what I like, this I love. Dessert is a necessary joy and this place will make you positively gleeful. When I enter the space I feel like doing a little jig. I always counsel myself before going in: «Get one treat. If you want something else visit again.» I at least make an effort to tell myself this. I admit it’s never my most sincere but I do go through the motions. I usually get at least 4 treats. Honest to God I don’t eat them all at once. I make it a point to try new delights at every visit. Here’s the most important fact of this review: «Heaven tastes like this.»

Profit hungry bakery! Pretty items but as a culinary grad and experienced baker you do not charge $ 25 for a plate of Italian cookies. Come on. I have my own little baking business in my home and would be happy to charge half for the same product!!! If you’re proud of your work you shouldn’t obsess over the price!

The display of their sweets and pastries are mouth watering! I ordered the chocolate chip cannoli and slice of tiramisu. The ricotta in the cannoli is melt in your mouth good and had a nice crisp shell. The ricotta is smooth and just the right sweetness. If I were to compare it to the North End Modern Pastry, I think Gerardo does it best. Gerado’s cannoli is not overly sweet or heavy but I think they can make theirs a little bigger for the price I paid. As for the Tiramisu, it was moist, the cream was velvety and had the delicious hint of coffee in it.
I would highly recommend given this place a try. I’ll be back to sample more of their goodies!

It is right on Rt 9 so if you are not coming up Rt 9 East it is a little bit of a pain to get to.
We ordered a cake for 30 – 35 and 15 cupcakes for a work party last week. The cake had their «famous» raspberry chambord filling. I am not a huge fan of raspberry and chocolate together but this cake was amazing. We usually never go thru even a ½ cake at parties and this cake was GONE by the end. Every one was talking about it for days after. I had asked for some flower decorations in a sky blue color and the cake came out beautiful. They also made the same flowers on the cupcakes.
The chocolate cupcake with chocolate mousse filling and the white cupcakes with white chocolate filling were also show stoppers. These were the best chocolate cupcakes I have ever had — and I am a cupcake snob! It is hard to find a moist chocolaty tasting cupcake — and these were perfect.
Everything was so great that I stopped back this past weekend for a cake and some pastries for a family party.
I was very disappointed to find they didn’t have a plain white cake with italian cream frosting — I had called on Thursday and was told they always keep them in the case and not to worry… when I went in the woman told me they always tell customers to order ahead if they want something specific. Well someone needs to get the communication. They didn’t even say let me check out back to see if maybe one was in the pipeline. The one we settled was very good though and the cupcakes were just as good.
I would highly recommend this place and will be back. They are a little pricey — but you get what you pay for!
