I took my young daughter here for the first time to try«open gym» because I have been looking for an active outlet for her(it’s been a long winter!) I was very pleased with our first experience! I was hesitant to try it at first because I thought she might be a little young(2 yrs old) but most of the kids in the morning session seemed to be ages 2 – 5. There were a lot of kids there but it did not feel crowded and they were able to use all of the equipment both upstairs and downstairs. The staff was friendly and supervised the areas that needed extra eyes(parents are expected to supervise their own children) and I felt that the space was as clean as you would expect a gym to be. It was great to have a space where my daughter was able to run/climb/crawl/jump/roll and squeal with excitement– all the things toddlers like to do! Plus it was great practice with taking turns, following directions and trying new things! I was really happy that she wanted to try some of the more challenging elements and that she wasn’t restricted because of her age. We had a blast and will definitely be back soon!

My 3 year old daughter just finished her first Fall session at Maine Academy of Gymnastics. She absolutely loves going! All the coaches and staff are great!(We have Coach Julie, she is amazing!) We didn’t think twice about enrolling her into the winter session. The gym is very clean and organized. I see the staff members sanitize equipment regularly. I love the creative ways they teach the kids proper techniques. They really do a great job keeping it fun! The«open gym» is a great idea. We usually attend the open gym that immediately follows our class because my daughter never wants to leave after an hour! We are so happy we decided to go with this gym!
