Fritaille Express

Not too many Haitian restaurants in the area good for a quick meal recommend the goat with rice other wise you’d have to travel to almost near queens for good Haitian food.

Typical express eatery — not pretty and not designed for comfort. The tables are packed close together so I wouldn’t suggest this as a large group outing.
I ordered a large goat meal for $ 15 which came with rice and peas, goat, and 4 pressed green plantains. They don’t take plastic so my friend had to pay with cash. Kinda sucks since its 2015 and certain places in NY refuse to keep up with the times. My friend and I split it instead of ordering small plates and we both were satisfied (a small plate is $ 11). The food was good but nothing over the top. I’d recommend it for someone who wanted a quick Haitian meal but there are better places out there.
The lady at the cash register wasn’t the friendliest but she wasn’t the meanest so that was a pleasant surprise. She moves a little slow though so if you’re in a rush — this isn’t a Chipotle line.
All in all, I’d recommend it to anyone that just wanted a plate of rice on the go but not for anyone looking for the best of Haitian cuisine.
