I just moved to the area and figured Id give it a try. I’ve been here about 4 or 5 times so far and overall everything has been good. I’ve ordered omelete’s, burgers, wraps and never had an issue with the food.

My husband and I love getting brunch here on the weekends even though we live closer to Broadway Diner(no taste) because Harvest tastes much better. It beats waiting on line at IHOP. Mostly senior citizens tend to be here. We never have an issue getting seated in a timely fashion. We always like their fresh omelets and toast.

I stopped into the Harvest Diner for a bite to eat while my car was being repaired at a nearby automotive shop. Immediately upon entering, the friendly hostess seated me in the somewhat busy restaurant. It must have been their peak lunch time because the place ws hopping. Despite it being so busy, my waiter, Mike came over right away to take my drink order. Minutes later I had my drink and had decided to order the pork souvlaki special with Greek salad and matzo ball soup. The matzo ball soup was delicious. Great chicken broth flavor and not overly salty. It had two decent sized matzo balls and came with a pack of saltines. The soup was probably the real star of my meal. Shortly after, my souvlaki platter arrived. It was a ginormous portion. However, the quality of the food was somewhat lacking. My main issue was that the pork was very overcooked and dry. I want to guess that it was cooked in a broiler for just a bit too long. Besides being overcooked, the meat just wasn’t seasoned at all. Personally, I would have pan fried the pork cubes with a small amount of olive oil, added a little salt, pepper, oregano, and lemon juice to create some super juicy souvlaki meat. That would cook up in just 3 minutes time. But I envision that the pork in my souvlaki was either pre-cooked and reheated in the broiler, or just a victim of cremation from the get-go. The fact that the restaurant was so busy may have been a factor in the apparent neglect with it. Thankfully, the Tzatziki sauce was super delicious and coated each of those little charred jerky-like tidbits with pure yummification. The Greek salad was plentiful and fresh. I didn’t try the pita bread, but it looked ok. The waiter, Mike returned several times to check on me and bring me soda refills. He was very efficient and as personable as possible considering the crowd. I finished off my meal with a cup of coffee which was decent. Didn’t taste burnt at all. It must have been moving rather steadily at that time. On the way out, my waiter was offering a free cookie to one of the other guest’s children while they paid the check. This guy was all about positive customer service. All-in-all a decent(and huge) lunch for $ 17 bucks plus the $ 5 tip I left. I managed to kill an hour without feeling rushed at all. I would definitely return again to try some other items on the menu that looked promising. :-) Note: The bathrooms were very clean as well.

Great diner This place makes awesome pancakes! Service was great prices very reasonable. It is very clean. The menu is very lengthy and has options for any appetite. There is a dining room area and an area with old fashioned booths. Very happy will be going back.

EGGSRANCHEROS!!! Back again for more breakfast food. Smooth service, fast food delivery and plenty to choose from in the menu. I’ll be back, as I enjoyed my meal, the service and the prices.

Enjoyed breakfast today with Bonnie G. The place looks better on the inside then the old façade on the outside. Compared to last time we were here the décor looks new and its comfortable. We ordered a Garden Omelet and Dbl Dip Challah French Toast… both were standard diner fare and fit the bill… The Coffee was outstanding and I probably had 5 cups! We checked out the regular dinner menu to guage whats served and the priceing. the reviews are split for this place and when we go back to try dinner I will post an updated review and give my take of the place.

I am a fan and I am impressed with breakfast. Egg white omelette with turkey, mushrooms, and tomato, served with home fries and toast. Home fries were crispy on the edges and perfectly seasoned so it was not too salty. Ordered oat bran pancakes to share and it was delicious! I will come back again. The interior is cozy and a bit homey but some people may think it is a bit outdated. Either way the food is good and the service is even better. Went here because the Unilocal-famous Thomas was too much of a wait.

My friend and I got breakfast at 8:30AM on Friday. The place has a parking lot and is decent on the inside. I got the chocolate chip pancakes and a cup of orange juice. The OJ cost me $ 3.45 which I thought was way too expensive for a cup. The pancakes were OK, they weren’t buttermilk so I wasn’t too excited about them. Menu prices are reasonable. Might return for a cheap breakfast.

I ate here based on their good reviews a few weeks ago. I ordered a burger, and had asked the waiter to sub the fries for vegetables. He listed the vegetables, which for some reason were all very starchy/sugary(zucchini with tomato sauce, carrots, that sort of thing). He mentioned steamed broccoli, and I asked if I could have sauteed broccoli instead. He said they could. When my food arrived, the burger was good, but instead of sauteed broccoli I had only a few pieces of sad steamed broccoli. Unfortunately, steamed broccoli has basically no flavor whatsoever, and I barely touched it. For the price I paid for the burger, I was disappointed that I couldn’t really enjoy my meal as a whole, even if the burger patty itself was fairly good. I would have said something early, but our server basically disappeared after we got our food, up until when we were brought our check. At this point, I didn’t even feel like eating broccoli and waiting for more to be cooked, I just wanted to leave. They’re going for a specific vibe, and I don’t think it’s accomplished very well. The décor inside is clearly just pasted onto the existing foundation, and feels kind of cheap, too. As a result, I can’t say I’ll be coming back. I just wasn’t thrilled with the experience, and their menu was kind of narrow for a diner.

It was a nice place to have some dinner food with a couple of friends. Came in one late night and had pretty good service. I would recommend this place for anyone who likes to have a variety of choices. Their menu is packed with a lot of different choices ranging from salads to fajitas or soulvaki and burgers. Meal was well worth the price I paid.

This is a wonderful diner. Clean, spacious and the staff is both friendly AND efficient. As for the food? Excellent! First of all it’s refreshing to see that they have a separate Breakfast menu. Classy, unlike most diners where you’re handed a monstrous, all-encompassing menu at all hours of the day. The offerings are great. They have the diner standards(hot open-faced sandwiches, burgers, gyros, etc) in addition to a few gems(Latin Breakfast with beans & plantains anyone?). The décor is nice(not gaudy) and everything is CLEAN. A great place to dine at!

The line at Thomas’s Ham and Eggery was too long so we came here instead. Half empty, no lines… many reasons why. Poor service. My coffee mug was empty for a majority of the time. If you don’t make eye contact with the staff or flag them down with flaying arms they’ll walk right past you. They’re nice when they finally come to your table. The place wasn’t even half full; there was no excuse for the inattentiveness. Bad food. You’ll have no water and no coffee, but you’ll be choking on the dry, bland potato hash. The appetizer sampler was also pretty mundane. At least they got my poached eggs(eggs benedict) right! I never add salt or ketchup to this, but it was so lacking in flavor that I decided to sprinkle some pepper… sigh.* Never again.

I stopped by for breakfast one day as had some time. Wanted to try some place new and found favorable reviews for this place on Unilocal.Glad I went. Clean establishment but not very busy(I did go on e a weekday). Breakfast menu had many options to choose from(I would guess more than yours average diner). Portions are huge and very satisfying. Polite staff. I would have to say one of the better diners on Long Island. Definitely a winner for no-nonsense breakfast. Will return to check out their lunch/dinner.

By far one of the best diners I have ever been to! Service is a little slow, but the freshness of the food is very well worth the wait. I had the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad… Very Yummy!!!
