Spring Cleaners

A Prada blouse was returned to me missing a buckle. I have been trying for weeks to resolve this. A man keeps saying he will come by my office then doesn’t come. Today marks the 4^th instance of that broken promise.

This place is exceptional!!! Came here and needed something dry cleaned and pressed quickly and even though there wasn’t alot of time, I could tell they were busy but they still helped me. Owner Issa is great! Professional, friendly and efficient. I will definitely come back here.
My suit looked brand new after they were done with it!
Thumbs up on service and for caring about customers, even a first time customer. He didn’t have to go out his way but he did!
(PS there are several cleaners in the area. This is right next to the staples).

Super great people run this place, but the «care» you get can be lacking. I lived in Westchester for a year and these guys were my steady-​eddy. However, they lost a $ 150+ Tommy Bahama shirt and I have to say, their response was like «meh… sorry dude». And that was from the owner.
The woman who runs the joint when he’s not around actually made me feel like she was making an effort to find the shirt, but… It never turned up. At no point did they extend an offer to credit me for the value of the lost shirt. Just a perpetual «let me look again, I’ll call you if I find it». smh
Also, in the year I had my dry cleaning done there, they ruined 2 other shirts. One came back with multiple burn marks on it. The second was torn on the shoulder where the metal hanger ends… looked like a friction wound. Both were $ 130 custom tailored dress shirts.
I do feel like they are super friendly and cool people, so I was willing to overlook the flaws.

Always fast, always friendly and always done right. I have been going here since they were in the last location and truly appreciate how easy they make the process. They have my credit card, so I don’t have to waste time by paying on every pickup. I just drop off my stuff, it’s ready when they say it will be ready and I walk in and pick it up. They have even delivered cleaning to my house, when I couldn’t make it to the store. They have had the same staff for years, so I don’t even have to give them my name.

The staff is friendly, the cleaning, ok. However, don’t ever bring your clothes here for alterations! I needed a shoulder seam sewn up… when it came back it looked like a six year old made the alteration. I politely asked them to send it back & have it redone properly. It came back somewhat better.
This time I submitted a new linen jacket for cleaning and they tore the lining in the back of it. I asked them to repair it. When it came back, apparently the same six year old is still doing the alterations there. It was a mess. I’m taking it somewhere else to have it properly repaired.
Seriously, take down the sign that boasts «Expert Alterations».

First time I write review on Unilocal.I would give negative stars if I could. Very bad place to take your clothes here for alteration. I took my new and only set of uniform here and I asked for expedited alteration since I have to wear it to work in the upcoming week. They charged me extra for the expedited service but that was fine. I dropped off my clothes on Monday and I was told I will get it on Thursday.
Thursday afternoon, I came to pick up my clothes but it wasn’t ready. They extended until the following Monday. I was still okay with that. Monday comes and it is still not ready yet. They extended again to Friday. I confirmed with them that I must get it on Friday and they told me yes. I had to borrow my friend’s uniform to wear it to work while waiting for it.
On Friday, I called to see if my uniform is ready and they said they have not even start the alteration yet. I asked to get my uniform back and they refused to give it to me because the alteration lady took it and she was disappear. I asked to talk to the owner and they hung up on me. I keep calling them and finally they agreed to give me back my clothes unfinished but I still have to pay the alteration fee. Veryyyy bad place. Very dishonest people. Everybody in there are rude! Stay away from these evil people! I paid $ 43 for my unfinished clothes and I wasted my 2 weeks! I should have take it to somewhere else!

Worst experience ever !!! Dropped off my clothes Wednesday morning it was suppose to be ready Friday by 5 I didn’t get it till after 6 and it was damp… I literally had a few pieces of clothes absolutely ridiculous. Worst fluff and fold ever.

If you read all the bad reviews they all have a theme… items coming back damaged, with stains that were not there previously. YEP, this is true. You’ll also read about a dishonest owner/​staff. Yes, this is true too. You will continue reading about how Issa (the owner) does not believe in reimbursing for the damage that THEY caused. True again!
Spring Cleaners gets an A for — damage — dishonesty — disregard for their clients.

They do good work yet they are expensive so I go to another place on La Tijera and Airport a few miles away also in Westchester that is much less expensive.
Very friendly staff at Spring Cleaners, just wish their prices were better.
Even with a coupon, their dry cleaning and shirt laundering is costly.
I have not tried their tailoring yet go to LA Vista Dry Cleaners for pants alternations around the corner on Manchester, a 5 minute walk away, if that.

Once upon a time, I wasn’t a Spring Cleaners customer. I started going there because a friend of mine gushed about the owner being a major part of the Westchester LA community. I support local businesses so I thought I’d give them a try.
First let me say that the owner didn’t need to be there for me to get good customer service. The lady behind the counter now knows me when I come in… that is really only every month or two. That is not frequent for a dry cleaner but they remember me each time. Isa, the owner even caught the fact that a strap needed to be fixed and they did that too. Their prices are competitive especially when you bring in their great coupons! Go there… they get the job done well and quickly without sacrificing your dignity.

This business is 2 for 2 for screwing up. First it was an alteration that I needed done. It was on uniform items that needed to sow some insignia on, I gave them pictures of exactly how it was suppose to be done and wrote notes. It was screwed up, they said, don’t worry we will fix it. Nope, the second time it was wrong again. Wow. Pretty bad. Then the owner said after the second time that they wouldn’t fix it again.
Fast forward about a year later, I dropped off 2 shirts to be dry cleaned and ready for tomorrow. I had a wedding to go to in San Diego. I come to pick it up and they don’t have them ready/don’t even know where there are! Sweet, now I have to buy another dress shirt. Would not recommend them, best part was horrible customer service from the worker. She just says, «do you need it tonight?» «we can’t find it» «it’s not ready» no sorry, no sympathy. She did say that when I come back, we will figure it out, implying a discount or a comp.
My whole thing is if you can’t do it properly or on time say no and I’ll go to another place down the street.

Very unprofessional owner and the work quality is very poor. I was promised a particular fee for using their services but was over charged every time. It took a few experiences to realize that not only were they not honest but the quality was also very poor. My shirt literally had all the stains that I turned it in with left on it when it was delivered. The owner didn’t even care to apologize for delivering my shirt in such poor condition and just simply said «I’ll dry clean it.» Needless to say it was dry cleaned with only slight improvement. I took the shirt back to my original dry cleaners and it was delivered in perfect condition. I should have realized that the owner’s lack of integrity would reflect on the quality of service provided.

Some of these bad reviews really surprise me. I’ve been going to Spring Cleaners for nearly five years (both at the location next to Kohls and now just off of Manchester Ave) and never had a bad experience. Not once, not twice but three times I’ve left items of value (cash and or other items) in my pocket and I’ve gotten a phone call and my forgotten belongings returned. Dry cleaning always comes back in good condition and the pricing is below several other businesses in the area. I’ve had several alterations done and they’ve always been great. Issa’s team does a great job and Sonja has always been very helpful. I’ve never had a bad experience in literally more than a 100 visits — I strongly recommend.

I’ve been going to Spring Cleaners for 2 years, since we moved into the
neighborhood. Their prices are better than all of the other cleaners in the
area once you factor in the coupons I get from my Ralph’s receipt!
Issa the owner is always friendly and welcoming, and they actually do a great
job on the our clothes. No complaints, neither on the cleaning nor pressing,
and for me the location is most convenient.
I often have to pick up on Saturday because of long work hours, and
Issa’s Saturday employees are just terrific, the girls behind the counter
are so sweet. always.
I won’t be looking elsewhere for another cleaners, since I’ve been
extremely satisfied with Spring Cleaners.

2 stars for friendly service, but does it really matter when your clothes get screwed up?
I know Unilocal reviews on dry cleaners are a huge crapshoot because it’s one of those types of businesses that people will only write reviews of when they’re complaining (along with fast food, chain pharmacies and PetSmarts). So when I saw the good reviews for this place I was like, OK, it’s right near my office, the dry cleaner I usually go to only takes cash and it’s in a stressful intersection, what have I got to lose?
First off… they charged 3x what my usual dry cleaner charges. Whateves. Prices vary wildly depending on what part of the city you’re in so I kind of expected it. This was a pretty big order (about 19 dry cleaned shirts and a suit) so I didn’t have time to check everything individually. I just counted. All the pieces were there. Then I got home. One of the shirts was someone else’s, and I was missing one of mine. I took it back to them and the manager was very nice and remembered me from before. He quickly found the right shirt. Alright, so we’re still doing OK.
Cut to 2.5 weeks later (tonight), I’m packing for a trip to Vegas. I’m noticing one of my favorite shirts, the one I rarely wear, has a tag on it that says «Special attention has been given to this garment but the SPOTS or STAINS remaining cannot be removed.» That’s funny, I thought. There were no spots OR stains on this shirt. I had worn it out one time and had gotten fairly sweaty in it, but there were zero stains. I’m fairly particular about taking good care of this shirt. Then I laid it out on my bed. What looks like black ink stains slathered up and down both arms. GAHHHHHH. Shirt is completely ruined.
Frustrated, I went to grab my the OTHER favorite shirt, and they had broken the top button in half. No tag on that one I noticed! I could take it back to them and complain but what’s the point. I can’t get that shirt back. It can’t be fixed. And the button on the other shirt was a fairly unique white/​red style that you can’t just replace. All I can do is mourn the loss.
TL; DR: Very nice staff, thoroughly ruined one shirt, messed up another, at a price 3x what I usually pay. Never again.

I came into this place hoping to get good same day alterations on my new pants I had just bought and I wanted to wear them that same night. I got charged extra for same day alteration only to find out that my pants were not done yet when they had said. Not only did they not finish my pants, my pants had been sent to another place to be altered, come to find out they don’t even do their own alterations, bad experience overall.

The only warning label people really respect is dry-​clean only. Speed limits, lung cancer, cigarette warnings — your very life is at stake and people just go, «Aah, the hell with it!» … But dry-​clean only? «Don’t put that in the wash!!! It’s dry-​clean only! ARE YOU CRAZY?!»

Jerry always knew how to make the obvious (and normal) so funny. Dry Cleaners aren’t known for being as funny, but it is true that I’ve learned to heed the warning labels on clothes.
Coupons in the mail are the reason my wife and I found Spring Cleaners. The service and the general sense they do an ok job cleaning my clothes keep me going back.
Since moving, Spring Cleaners has become my regular dry cleaners and shirt laundry. The convenient location and free parking make it an easy choice on the way to/​from work. The usual turnaround time seems to be 2 – 3 days which is totally fine with me.
Thanks to the coupons, the prices are reasonable. Be on the lookout for one before going. It’s not going to be SGV cheap prices, but it’s still less than many comparable dry cleaners on the Westside.

Issa and his team are awesome! They always do a great job.
Always ready to help out. I took a shirt in that I needed pressed for a dinner that same night and they pressed it for me while I waited. They know how to take care of their customers.

The management team (owner, Issa) and his staff are amazing and hard-​working. Each time I go in this place, the employees are working hard to ensure that they do a superb job for their customers! I can always trust the quality and timing of this cleaners! They work hard for their money (and I ain’t going to bust into a Donna Summer song here!).
I recently needed to get some pants hemmed because I decided to leave my tailor of almost 12 years. I came to Issa at Spring Cleaners and he said — «no problem!». Sure enough, it wasn’t a problem! Two days later, my pants were done, pressed, & professionally wrapped!
Westchester, Playa Del Rey, Marina Del Rey, El Segundo, and the rest of the West Side — you need to come here to get your clothes cleaned and to get your items tailored! They are dependable and trustworthy!

I stopped by the cleaners and asked if they did alterations. It happened I spoke with the owner Issa (Esau), who told me they did… and did it well.
I brought the trousers from the suit I was going to wear in MY WEDDING and had them prepared for alterations: waist, seat, cuffs.
They TOTALLY RUINED MY PANTS. Irreparably damaged, I was forced to purchase another suit.
I have made several stops by the cleaners and have requested the owner call several times as well, but he has not. I don’t expect to be reimbursed… that would take class… but I want an opportunity to let him know I am VERY displeased with the job.
This is the next best way.
As far as alterations, I wouldn’t recommend this cleaners if they were giving you cash to alter your clothes.
