Frets is amazing. Not only is there a wide variety of fretted instruments to choose from, but the owner, Zachary Dustin takes the time to answer all the questions you may have. The store itself has a very«at home» feeling.

I recommend Frets 100%. I have an old Gibson J4/J5 guitar and it was restored perfectly. I thought I would need to buy a new guitar however with much needed TLC, my favorite guitar is back to working condition. I can’t thank you enough!!!

If you fret about frets There are lots of places that will sell you a fretted instruments. Guitars and even banjos, mandolins and ukuleles can be purchased in many places. But many people don’t realize that musical instruments, especially fine or vintage musical instruments, require a certain about of maintenance and TLC. Not only do strings have to be changed but bridges, tuners, frets and necks might have to be adjusted. A delicate and sensitive procedure, especially on an expensive and rare beast. Buying an instrument is easy, finding a experienced luthier to take care of your music maker is far more difficult. Frets not only has a cool collection of fretted things to sell you but will also give your instrument the loving care that it just might need. The owner of the store is an experienced luthier that definitely knows what he is doing. He can not only fix just about anything with frets but will also give advice and guidance to the proper strings to use and how to keep your special friend humming and singing. It becomes obvious just by talking with him that he obviously loves fretted things. The store isn’t huge like some of the typical guitar warehouses but has a nice collection of string things to drool over. Not only guitars but some of the fretted relatives too, including some great vintage stuff. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have a lot of sheet music and virtually no classical or early music, but they do have a nice selection of old blues and jazz. There aren’t many stores and people like this around. Many retailers will sell you an instrument but then you’re on your own and it’s really easy to mess up a nice instrument if you don’t know what you’re doing. Frets is a great place to buy or baby your guitar, banjo, mandolin, cittern, lute, ukulele, sitar, gamba, vielle, saz, mandocello, mountain dulcimer or bouzouki.
