The Cooked Goose is one of the prides of Westerly Restaurant lovers. Located near the water is has both indoor and outdoor dining. Parking is a bit tricky but there is ample room in the back once you negotiate the narrow road or angled driveway. The interior is lovely with a large stone fireplace and comfortable large chairs or more traditional tables and chairs inside and out. The staff was prompt and courteous. We were seated quickly and menus arrived within moments. I noticed a mixture of locals and tourists and a smattering of business suits and beachwear. The open layout keeps this from being a particularly romantic dining experience, but sitting near the fireplace after a blustery morning out on the water would be really pleasant. I was surprised by the flavor and texture combinations. My favorite was a salmon Benedict with hash browns substituting for the traditional English muffin or bolo. Coffee was also very good, and it’s not something I usually notice unless it is very good(or very bad). Like most restaurants located in tourist areas there are glass cases with things to buy to remember the trip, and a rather large selection of dessert items, pastries, and some of that delicious coffee to go. The Cooked Goose is for breakfast and brunch and runs year round,(although there is a several week break near the beginning of the year — call before you drive out.) It is definitely worth the drive to find it.

Absolutely perfect, A+! We went on a Sunday morning knowing we’d have to wait. They gave us coffee while we waited and then we were seated after only 15 minutes. The service was the best I’ve ever seen; the owners and their staff were attentive and always made sure we(and the rest of the patrons) were doing okay. My wife even chatted with the owners/chef for a few minutes. Such nice people! The food was outstanding(and so cheap!) I had the lobster eggs benedict and my wife had an omelette. We split a blueberry muffin. The lobster was fresh and tasty and I ate every morsel. My wife’s omelette was heavenly and her toast was crisp on the edges, and soft in the middle. The blueberry muffin was grilled so it had a nice crunch to it and the perfect amount of sugar and butter. We loved breakfast so much that we took some food home from the deli section for dinner! Can’t wait to come back!

Easy parking, nice atmosphere. Clean. Food average, a bit pricey. Coffee ok. Very busy, upscale. Good place for meeting over coffee or business.

Another find that my wife found on Unilocal! We went to CT and RI for a weekend get-a-way and found this gem to eat breakfast at. It’s a real«All-hands on deck Family-type» establishment. Be prepared to wait a bit, but it’s so worth it! My wife ordered the Lobster eggs benedict, with homefries and wow! She was in heaven! Myself, I ordered an omelet with swiss, mushrooms, and bacon, with well done Home Fries and toast and it was super yummy and cooked to perfection! Priced just right! I saw the breakfast burrito, and I’ll surely be getting that the next time I’m here! They also have a large selection of desserts and goodies to choose from in their deli section to take out. This place is well worth the drive as it’s quite off the beaten path and takes a little drive to get there… But you won’t be disappointed! Service is on point, very friendly and quick, and they make you feel at home. Another place I’ll love to revisit. Highly Recommended!!!

We enjoyed our breakfast here so much. The drive was easy and scenic. Only minutes from the beaches in westerly. The restaurant was crowded. We waited at least 25 minutes but it was well worth it. I had the lobster eggs benedict. It was heaven! The home fries were seasoned perfectly and the bread was moist and went well with the sauce. I can’t wait to go back!
