Dan’s Barber Shop

I’ve gone to Dan’s for about 10 years now and they have always given me a great cut. I’ve also gone to them once or twice to save an awful cut I’ve gotten from other shops. Easily one of the most reliable and affordable barber shops in Columbus.

Excellent haircut. They charge extra for a Flattop, but that is truly a sign of a barbershop that knows how to do a great flattop. The cut is hard to do correctly and as a Marine Veteran I want a Satisfactory haircut. Good job. I will be back.

I’ve been going to Dan’s for years and have always gotten a great cut at a reasonable price. Dan is a very personable guy and always makes sure you get the cut you want. He doesn’t rush you through to get to the next customer. It’s kind of out of the way on an alley in the first block off of East College but worth searching out.

I just dropped Dan’s name to someone asking about a good barber, so I should probably write a review, huh?
First, this shop can be difficult to find. You have to either come up from behind the shop off of the side streets of Westerville, or come down State St. into uptown Westerville, turn off into an alley, pop out and find parking, and then walk over.
That said, Dan is a really great, laid back barber who will do a great job of taking care of your hair. My dad has been getting his hair cut by Dan since before he owned his own shop, and happily followed him when he branched out almost 12 years ago. He’ll listen to what you want, and he’ll do his best to make sure you’re happy with what you get. The shop itself has a decent waiting area, good music, and a very clean and bright interior.
If you go on a Friday or Saturday, figure on a potential wait — if you want to drop in for a quick cut and get back out quickly, I’d try going on a weekday.
When I’m in town and I need the best hair cut I can get, I’ve always gone to see Dan.
