We would like to recommend that all families or individuals please check with your county were you live. for codes and regulations before you build a post and frame building
99% of all post and frame buildings that you see advertised in the newspaper or advertised by lumber yards are not code building
They are what they call price leaders to get you to call or go in to their locations.
Also before you buy out of state please check the company out where they are registered as doing business. More more sites are popping up of lumber yard selling lumber and then you pick a builder off of their website to give you a price to build your new barn or building
Some questions you might ask yourself
1 how could they give you a labor price to build a building without ever seeing the property
2 how are they going to get the material in without damaging your property
3 are they licensed in Ohio to build
4 all professional post @ frame builders have an architect or engineer that works with the company to provide architectural drawings that are stamped for your county
everybody and their brother are now a builder of some sort. We get one to three calls a week on these type of issues where they have bought the building and now they have no builder
also the building that they bought will not meet county building requirements
and now costs more to build
