Ordered a Sub Turkey no tomato add bacon. The first sub was ham with tomato and second sub was what ever this pink meat is. Had to wait on hold forever because apparently the manger can not do anything with out owner approval. Thinking about disputing the charge with our credit card.

There is something amiss in the prior reviews. With the caveat that I almost always carry out — so I can’t speak to the delivery or dining room — this is solid pizza. When you’re comparing it with the other options in Westerville — it is really top choice. Donatos or Little Caesars??? Come on people. Have some respect for yourselves.

Just got takeout only to find an uncooked pizza with raw onions. Im cooking it now and hoping it will be edible. They should be paying me. Health department should be checking this place out. People here clearly don’t care about what they are doing.

Saw the manager yelling at an older gentleman saying he didn’t care if her had been eating there with his group of friends every Friday for 5 years, he should go somewhere else. What was the problem? His pizza was inedible because it was too salty & asked if he could have a new pizza. Our pizza was pretty bad too. Not going back & recommend choosing another place where they might actually want customers.

The hype on Massey’s is unfounded. The pizza was on the same level as Domino’s. That’s not a compliment. Do not plan on ever returning here. I’d rather eat Papa John’s if that tells you anything.

Pizza is just«OK.» Nothing there really stands out. Sometimes it’s hard to find a clean table to sit at. Marco’s Pizza is 100% better and the people there are a lot nicer as well.

Yeah, read Will B’s review(but skip the self-aggrandizing part): did the Massey’s Corporation buy stock in an onion farm or something? Seriously, our supreme pizza had a hilarious amount of onions. I really wish I would have taken a picture, it was bizarre. Also, that pizza was so salty that it might have served me better if I’d have thrown it on my driveway after the last snow. It was basically an onion-salt pizza, which wasn’t very good. It cost a lot too; $ 25 for a large? I seriously think I’m going back to Papa John’s, even though Papa John is a terrible person.

This place is a dump. None of the tables were wiped off, are food was served in styrofoam bowls and plates, our salad had old iceberg lettuce that was starting to turn brown, even the ceiling was filthy. The list goes on. I can’t believe this is part of the same chain as the Massey’s in Grove City, they are COMPLETELY different. The pizza was good, but this place was so dirty and everything else was so bad that I wouldn’t even order takeout from this place. It’s a franchise – a plaque on the wall says it’s independently owned by some guy named Greg, and he should be ashamed.

The food usually tastes pretty good but that does not make up for the bad service. Used to be good. Not sure what happened.

I hope the pizza they put out for lunch isn’t the same they serve other times of the day. Watered down sauce, bland cheese. I did like the salad bar.

We decided to give Massey’s a try by ordering their BLT and Mexican pizza. The crust was thin and had the right amount of crunch and both of the pizzas had great flavor. The toppings were a little sparse. On the website the Mexican pizza is listed as having«hot peppers» so we ordered them on the side. Come to find out they were just banana peppers… so don’t be scared! I did take one star off because our two medium pizzas were $ 31!

Dear Massey’s Corporate: Tonight(Mon Dec 30th, 2013, at 7pm) — at your Westerville location — I ordered a medium«White Pizza» However, instead, I received what can only be described as an «Onion Pizza». Even my mother, who loves onions, was surprised at how much onion was on the pizza. After removing as much of the onion as I could, I tried to eat a few pieces… but the taste of onion had completely permeated the pizza. Yes, I knew some onion would be on the pizza — but the pizza’s description was listed as: «Olive oil, garlic, black olives, onion, romano, gorgonzola, mozzarella, provolone, spices» This description in no way prepared me for the amount of onion that was ultimately placed on the pizza. I therefore took this pizza to the store owner himself — Greg Hicks — and I asked him if I could replace this medium, specialty, $ 18, inedible pizza with one small, cheese pizza. That’s it. A small, cheese pizza. I could not have asked for less. I should add here that I was but one person in a party of nine people. Amongst us, we ordered approximately $ 100 worth of pizza, salads, and beverages. …as we do every time I come home for a visit, which is about three times a year. Mr. Hicks, however, replied by telling me – belligerently — that he had no reason whatsoever to honor my request — that I received what I had ordered. I have spent my entire adult life being a one-man Chamber-of-Commerce for Massey’s Pizza. No matter where I’ve lived — France, Australia, Los Angeles, Washington DC — I have sung your praises high and low — telling everyone that Massey’s should be on one’s Top Five to-do list when visiting Columbus. After a life long relationship with your shoppes — to be denied the simplest of downgrades — for what was a completely over-onion’ed pizza — was a slap in the face. To threaten you with Donato’s is probably a cliché. But… I’m upset enough by all this that — at the moment — I can’t imagine returning to any of your stores anytime soon. Nor will I be singing your praises as I’ve done for decades now. Very Disappointed, William H. Bower Westerville OH& Washington DC fb/will.bower

Mediocre pizza. Delivery took twice as long as they said it would. First & last time customer. I wouldn’t mind paying their substantially higher prices if their pizza was better than everyone else’s.

Meh… just tried them tonight. Similar presentation as The Pizza House, but only ½ as good(maybe), and for the same order we could’ve paid $ 8 less at The Pizza House(2 pies and an Italian Sub). Too bad, but ya never know until you try for yourself…

My second trip to Masseys, although my first trip was to a location that is now closed. This is probably my new favorite of the Columbus area pizzas. The crust is flavorable and crisp, but not as flaky as some of the other area crusts. Toppings are abundant and tasty. Atmosphere is pretty good. It is clean and decorated in a hollywood style.

This pizza is classic Columbus style pizza. I like this one better than the Gahanna one, but its close. The crisp thin crust is very fresh and refreshing. Sign up for their email club as they send out some great deals.

So let’s see: — Semi-Midwestern style cut pizza? Check! — Pepperoni that curls up? Check! — Thin and Crispy? Check! — Unique taste? Check! — wait? what? One of the things I like best about Massey’s pizza is that is certainly a different tasting pizza. Not sure if it’s the cornmeal on the bottom of the crust or not(which I LOVE) but there is something unique going on. I find it’s one of the few thin crust pizzas where people tend to love it or hate it. Like Donatos, Massey’s piles on the toppings. You won’t been seeing much of the cheese on these pizzas if you get more than one topping. Not sure why, but I just loving eating their pepperoni(shocker) and my friends always compare me to the Family Guy episode with James Woods(«Oooh piece of Candy… Ooo piece of Candy … Ooo piece of candy»). I just pick these right off pizza all day. Now while I enjoy a good pie here at Masseys, I do find they have a few faults. First — go eat in. The pizza is always better. If you take it home, the cheese really starts to congeal fast and I dunno about you, but I hate it when that happens. There is a huge difference in the quality of the pizza when eating in vs a 20 minute car ride. There is one exception and that is the lunch time buffet. Seriously, Pizza hut does a better lunch buffet. Second — Massey’s tends to not be consistent on the sauce. I’ve seen this at several locations, but some times you get pizza that is just ooozing with the sauce — which actually hurts the taste of the pizza and sometimes you get one that barely has any on it all. Third — They cut their pizza somewhat similar to midwestern(or central Ohio or Chicago thin crust way), except the pieces are long and rectangular. The pieces end up being 2 by 6 – 8 inches which kinda makes it hard to eat. I just find that it’s not the easiest slices to hold and if the pizza is saucy, the cheese just slips right off and things can get messy! Anyway, I still like having Massey’s once in a while, but never during their lunch buffet!
