I ordered a custom cake for my Pregnancy announcement party and Fatima did a fantastic job. It turned out looking better than what I had in mind. Great customer service and personalized attention. The cake was delicious and I would highly recommend Nanak bakery.

Delicious cakes and pastries from a Persian perspective. I love how naturally sweet the flavors are of Nanak’s creations. From the gorgeous Napoleon to the delicious baklava to the chocolate brownies, nothing comes close. They also cater to 2 very well known restaurants that serve their desserts, i.e., Lavash and Jeddo Kabab.

I sampled a variety of their cookies today. They were amazing! Unique creations not loaded down with sugar! I don’t even know the names of all of them. I asked the person working for her recommendations and the ones she suggested did not disappoint! I will be going back for more soon!

I have driven by here many times, it just took awhile to stop here since it is a pain to get to and always looks closed. I waleked in and still it looked closed and very abandone. I had a bunch of time to look at the cookies since there was noone around. I finally walked int othe kitchen so I could be served. They did not have much to chose from, maybe 10 different types of cookies which are sold by the pound so I got one of each. Even though they looked like they had been in the case untouched for awhile they were all buttery soft melt in your mouth. Very different flavors and ok prices but nothing too exciting.

NOWTHEYSERVEFOODTOO! They have a menu with light sandwich, pannini and burgers. An interesting list of appetizers, plus Persian entrees in their daily specials like chicken kabab and rice and stews. We tried the chicken kabob and the eggplant-beef stew and both were delicious.

We’ve gotten the Napoleon cake a few times now and we’ve never been disappointed. I hate the really sweet cakes most places have, so I was really excited to find a bakery that makes delicious cakes that aren’t drenched in icing or overloaded with sugar. The owner is a really nice man, and he even stayed later one day when we wanted a last minute cake when all other bakeries were closed. I didn’t mind their décor, I’m there for the baked goods, so as long as that tastes good, I really could care less if their building matches or not. Besides, as another reviewer has mentioned, they’re trying to convert to a restaurant, which is why they look strange right now. Their prices are pretty reasonable too. I’ll definitely be back for more.

Haven’t been there myself, but my mom ordered my graduation cake from Nanak and it was excellent. The icing was light and not too sweet. We had chocolate raspberry and many of our guests commented on how excellent the cake tasted.

A pretty big building housing a pretty small bakery, but it’s good stuff. Cake, cookies, baklava, napoleons– I like everything I’ve tried. They do wedding cakes and such, and say they will eventually have a full restaurant on-site(you can get a roast beef sandwich, etc., and there are tables inside, but apparently they’re not quite ready to call it a restaurant.)

This place was kind of weird and the bakery items tasted off. Their place was bizarrely decorated, is right next to a cemetery and seemed disorganized. Maybe we tried it on a bad day.

Have been trying to stop in but I always hit it on Monday or Tuesday. Finally, today(Friday) got in. I looked at their dessert case and decided on a piece of cheesecake(Lime). Took it home to have with coffee. Was disappointed. Tasted ok but could tell it had been in the refrigerator — uncovered for a while(days) cause it had a rubbery texture. Not really thrilled and not in a hurry to return.

I’ve tried several different cakes by the slice here, as well as cookies. The chocolate ganache is especially good. The prices are reasonable. It’s not really a place to hang out, though there may be a table or two.

This is a spacious bakery with tables and encouraged eating. They do a whole lot of special event cakes. It seems they do a great business with children’s birthday cakes. I didn’t go for that, but there is a large book by the front door with sample cake designs. The children there were thrilled about the possibility of having an ice cream cone shaped cake or their favorite animal. They had a bunch of cartoon spray prints, but I wouldn’t even know where to begin. I bought some baklava. They have two varieties: pecan and almond. I got the almond, one piece is $ 0.99. It was good, not as wonderful as a fresh baked, still warm piece. But it certainly had adequate amount of honey. I prefer slightly larger pieces of nuts, and a bit more filling. They had more honey and phyllo than the spicy fill. For a special order cake, stop in to see the selection… and grab a ready made pastry or cookie on your way out.
