St Andrews Apartments

I’m tired of all the careless, lazy neighbors letting their kids run wild without supervision, people not picking up their dog crap, people stacking furniture and other large items next to the garbage dumpster (when it says NOT to), loud and drunk people carrying on late at night. Sheesh… when did it turn into the ghetto?!

If I could give negative stars, I would. We have been here 5 years, and it has seriously gone downhill. Neighbors beating each other in the parking lot, getting arrested on the premises, being evicted for selling drugs, SWAT standoffs with armed residents, and an apparent upper management who just doesn’t give a rat’s a$$. Not to mention defective equipment they refuse to replace: when the temp is over 85 outside, my house is sweltering because the AC won’t work. Add all that to a swimming pool that was shut down by the health department twice. Our immediate neighbors are super nice; however, they are moving, too. God knows who’ll they’ll move in next. My bottom line advice: don’t. Just don’t. My husband and I are getting our child out of here at the easiest opportunity.

The other review from last year seems pretty negative. All the windows seem brand new. I have brand new carpet, all lighting fixtures are brand new as well as tile flooring. The landscaping is very nice. My neighbors seem very nice.
One thing to remember people… it is an apartment, not a condo or a house. Apartment life is what it is…
So far I’m pleased here. The location is very nice and quiet — you either face the fairway of Little Turtle Golf Course, or the woods.
On the downside… this place was not built for kids, seems to cater to adults only, or so I had hoped. THERE ARE TONS OF KIDS HERE, and no play areas or anything for them — so they are just hanging out in the parking lot making tooooooooo much noise.
SO PEOPLE, IF YOU HAVE KIDS, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU.
I chose this place because it was nice and quiet. during the day when all the kids were at school apparently, but come 4pm, its like a school playground. Not a fan…
I had given the place 4 stars but decided to only give it 3 stars because of all the kids running amok.

First of all, we have been here for 8 years! We are leaving soon as this place has really declined in quality and value recently.
These apartments are 30 years old; the windows need to be replaced badly as cold air comes right through them in the winter time.
There is no pantry area in the kitchen; very little storage area for the kitchen.
Management continues to allow people in as tenants who are irresponsible; devoid of commonly known American manners and rude. The police have been here several times this year; two SWAT Teams were here just yesterday in a stand off that lasted into the night with a tenant who had a gun!
Parking is a HUGE problem as slots are all assigned and there is not enough visitor parking. It is not uncommon to have to call a tow truck to have someone moved from your parking slot.
Small (underage) children run around the parking lot totally unattended by their adult caretakers.
Pool did not open until June 14^th, 2010 and it is milky in color this year !!!
These apartments are too expensive for their age and for what is out there as an alternative in this tenant driven market. You can rent in a brand new community for these prices.
