This restaurant is unbelievable! From the time we sat down, to the time we left, everything was outstanding. The owner, Bill, was great. Super friendly guy who gave us some great suggestions on other places to stop in the area. He works the bar; Which you usually don’t see a lot. It was great to see an owner PRESENT in their business and the fact that he’s so passionate about his restaurant was an added bonus. We had dinner there Friday, and came back Saturday for a late lunch. The inside of this place is stunning; exposed brick walls and high vintage-style ceilings. You must try the bologna sandwich, stuffed mushrooms, apple-glazed pork chop. Nothing, I mean, nothing, is bad on the menu. Can’t wait to come back! Grade A service, exceptional menu, and wonderful owner. Thanks for everything!

For an area sadly lacking in any sort of decent food beyond burgers and pizza, Brazill’s is a bright spot. The re-purposed interior space has a lot of character. Greenery in the front window shields the«storefront» from the sidewalk creating a more cozy dining room. There is a small bar for seating and several larger sized tables for groups in addition to the rest of the four-tops. Now about the food. We visited at lunchtime during the Fall. The lunch menu has a number of tasty hot sandwiches and a few salad choices. At our table, the Reuben, Chicken Parmigiana and the Flat Iron Steak sandwiches were all ordered. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked to my Med Rare request. Other diners in my party gave high marks to the other sammies. The Sunchoke Potato Soup of the Day was interesting but slightly bland. Service is friendly and prompt. I would definitely return during the Chautauqua season next year as this restaurant comes closest to big city food than any other in the area.

Of course this is the best restaurant in Chautauqua county, the family owners are genuine, friendly and really want to get to know you. The mom is chef and the staff are very accommodating. The food is not complicated and so amazing. The daughter recommended the pork chop and it was amazing– huge portion! I had the 10oz sirloin special, also a huge portion and the steak had to be at least 1 ½ inches thick cooked perfectly! The beer and wine list is extensive. We had a bottle of the Charles krug sauvignon blanc which is amazing. Will be coming to eat here every time we are in town!

Mushroom apps were my favorite. Food is fresh. Fish special was prepared with mango chutney and had a simple enjoyable taste. Nice place in a quaint town with a solid wine list. Another benefit of Chautauqua region.

I’ve been meaning to post for over a year. But hopefully it’s worth the wait… This is probably the best restaurant in Chautauqua County. The food is exceptional, the ambiance is warm, friendly, with a high-end NY-style pub feel. The pork chops, those scallops, that salmon, the bacon wrapped asparagus and those mushroom apps; and finely crafted in-season cocktails and quite a varied alcohol stock, all the while being conscious of locally grown foods and terrific attention to detail makes one only hope they don’t go anywhere too soon. And price? Comparatively speaking(I’ve lived in NYC and now in LA) you will NOT get a better high-caliber experience and food than you will here. Bill and Terri work this asses off, and it shows. They take a lot of pride in putting together a great experience for every diner. Let’s just hope they don’t lose patience with us. So, If you haven’t, do yourself a favor and go. If you have, go back. I do every time I come back to WNY. -

Having tried Brazill’s last year right after it opened, I wasn’t too intrigued with trying it again. This is one of the noisiest restaurants I’ve ever been to, plus the food was only okay. Last night though we were taken there by friends. Still noisy, something that will be hard to fix with those high ceilings, but nearly deafening by the time we left. We started with a bottle of their best wine, ordered appetizers(the calamari was exceptional and so was the size of the serving), and then our entrees. When my hangar steak arrived I realized it was definitely medium although I had ordered medium-rare. Someone else at the table had ordered theirs medium rare, and theirs was cooked perfectly. I told my server and she said she was sorry. She was very young and clearly unsure what to do so she did nothing. I tried it and found it tasteless as prepared – they also left off the scallion topping. So I asked her to take it back. Much later she came back to tell me they had decided to recook another portion for me. By then everyone at our table, who had eaten as slowly as possible – and enjoyed their meals – was nearly done. I said great – hello, what else were they going to do, bring back the original? More time went by and finally someone else at the table went back to the kitchen to see if they had even started my order, pointing out that getting it right the second time should have taken precedence over new orders. Eventually, after I told them to cancel since I didn’t want to eat alone, the manager(owner?) arrived with my plate – medium rare this time – put it down and left. Clearly they were unhappy that I had sent my original order back, despite visible comparison at our table that mine was overcooked. I took my dinner home in a box. So while we were delighted with the beginning of the meal, between the noise and their ungracious response to their error, we won’t go back. I hate to say that because local restaurants that try this hard and succeed on so many levels are hard to find.

Place was crowded and they made room for us! Had the flat bread pizza with pears, onions and cheese appetizer which was awesome. The pot roast soup was good. Service was quick and food came in a reasonable time. I has the pork chop with mashed potatoes and everything was great! Would recommend this place to travelers or anyone.

Visited Braziil’s twice int the last 4-weeks and had an awesome meal and an ok meal. On my first visit the appetizer, salad, entrée and desert were all prepared well, adequate portions and presented well. We had a very good server who was on top of his game and kept our drinks filled and timed the courses properly. On our second visit we went with a small group(8 people at our table) and our waitress seemed«taxed» to her limits. The appetizers were good(not great), my salad was warm, and the dessert choices so limited to one pie and vanilla ice cream. Nobody ordered desert… a couple do us enjoy a nice sweet treat after a meal. The décor is very nice and the entrees were VERY good! I personally enjoy dining a little later in the evening… Brazill’s is not the place to do this, We were aware when we made our reservations for 7:00 that the kitchen tries to close by 8:00…we felt somewhat rushed by our waitress to get our orders in. The entrée selection, entrée flavor and quality I night rate four stars… I have a little Trouble giving them more than three stars do to my comments above. Every restaurant has good and bad nights… at their price point I do expect a better rounded meal.

In the Southern Tier of Western New York, my world, fair to say we have a dearth of quality, owner«occupied»(greeter /host/cook/server) quality fine food restaurants. Yes I feel Brazill’s on Main Street is amount the top and strongly recommend well prepared, fresh, top quality food there. menu limited, but in a good way(I am always wondering about some restaurant menus three pages long with 168 items!?). Can be hard during prime time because seasonal lake and seasonal Chautauqua Institution nearby. lunch won’t disappoint, nor will you or your guests. This is not«big city» territory, this is real Main Street America and a real restaurant that wants, try’s, and succeeds at meeting a high level experience in every way, and most importantly in the way of food! skip the chain restaurants, skip the overdone, overpriced«destination» restaurants & take a ride to Westfield NY… you will enjoy it all.

The ONLY reason this place is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because it’s not a chain — plain and simple. I may never go back here, but I’ll give it two stars because of a few things they did right. First of all — the place was clean and it was cool — temperature — inside. The menu was on the way out — so a lot of the items were no longer available. Too bad they didn’t have anything to replace those items that were no longer available — made me feel like I might be eating left overs or something. The pricing was slightly higher then some places, but this place was a bit more classy I guess is how I will put it. However, the server we had was absolutely the worst. I’d normally not say that, but this girl didn’t have many people to take care of and she still messed everything up. And where she stopped messing up — the kitchen started. Here goes — when we arrived there were two women sitting at one small table that obviously were done — they were basically just sitting and chatting. There was another couple that had also just finished eating — and basically they were waiting for their check. In my opinion that was taking a bit too long — because the server only had my wife and I to attend to at this point. Why — because there were only two other people — two males sitting up at the bar. Then my wife and I — the only two people in the place to serve. The drinks — ice water for me and a special drink for my wife were served promptly. Though the specialty drink was a bit high priced — the water was free and our order was being taken. I asked for a cup of the«soup of the day» and my wife ordered a side salad — so we could get something quickly before our entrees, which were a turkey club with fries and a hamburger with fries. My soup was delivered warm — perhaps tepid — but I was hungry and ate it. My wife’s side salad was fresh — small but fresh! At this point we thought we were going to have a nice late lunch. However, late was more like it. 45 minutes and our turkey club and hamburger were still not ready. Visions of Gordon Ramsey surfaced! I was extremely hungry by this point and got up and walked over to our absent minded server who informed me that they just realized that the kitchen never got the order. It was blamed on the computer because no one wanted to take the blame. I went back and sat down where my wife clearly saw how angry I was and said — let’s go — let’s pay for what we got and get out of here. So we did — however, the thing that did impress me was the bar tender — perhaps owner/manager who said everything was on the house! He apologized immensely and asked us to give them another try. I seriously doubt we will be back — but — well — this is the reason for two stars. I think they had a a bad day — or more likely — they have a server who needs to find a different calling!

Great food and atmosphere. The appetizers were over the top. We had the artichokes and calamari were light and side sauces tasty. Rosemary Chicken tender and moist. Opt for the mashed potatoes you will not be sorry. Save room for pie and a bottle of Mazza wine!!!

First time I stopped in here I was on my own looking for a decent lunch and thought this was a good time to give this place a try. The staff was friendly, love the décor, great wine selections, and the food was delicious. I haven’t experienced calamari cooked that well in a long time. Next time I stopped, a friend and I were trying to get dinner. They were slammed, tables and bar area full. We left to have a drink somewhere else and came back an hour later. The bar was completely empty. We had dinner sitting there and it was delicious. Scallops, meat, sides, homemade dressing on the dinner salads. I can’t say enough. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

We stopped in at the recommendation of a local friend and were not sorry that we did. Though we did have a little issue with our young waitress — it was quite busy and she had only been there three weeks and she forgot to bring our appetizer and was late in bringing the dinner wine — the remaining experience was great. It was in a wonderfully restored older building«on Main» Street. I had the swordfish and my wife had the scallops. Both were grilled to perfection, well-presented, and tasted fabulous. We were extremely impressed at how reasonable the prices were for the quality(and quantity) of food even compared to «the big city». Whatever you do, save room for desert. They«import» deserts from a local bakery and the pies were world-class. My wife said the«pee-can» pie she had was the best ever and I loved my strawberry rhubarb. We do hope to get back there soon and highly recommend it. Do call ahead for reservations on weekends.

This establishment was excellent. Had to wait 45 min on week night, but worth it . The appetizers were tasty but small. I had the special, roasted halibut. Excellent. Wait staff friendly and knowledgeable. Service was a little slow. Met the kind owners. only open for three months and still working on the fine details. Will definitely go back.

I really want to rate this restaurant higher because they have the opportunity to be a really fine restaurant in this community. Because the restaurant is so new, they are still working out some logistics. First — and for many this will be critical — they don’t offer a single vegetarian entrée. How easy could that be? Now they offered to make up something — pasta, vegetables and pesto. With all if the other innovative items on the menu, that’s a sad substitution for a comparable option. The food we did have — side dishes from entrees for my vegetarian friend and the scallops for me — were flavorful and well presented. Our waiter was extremely nice and knew that the menu offered challenges for a vegetarian and did what he could to accommodate. The second issue then was the timing of the appetizers from the kitchen. They weren’t even ready to be delivered to the table until after our entrees had been served. By then it would have been too late to get them and although they sounded good — we had moved to the next portion of the meal. We both had pie for dessert and enjoyed the blueberry and peach and blueberry slices. They need to add some options to the menu and work in their timing. I would go back if I return to the area but will look forward to hearing if my friend who lives locally is able to go back when they offer innovative vegetarian choices.

Ate here a couple days ago, in town for a few days and decided to eat here because our friends and myself heard good things. I had sea scallops w/risotto and it was excellent. Shrimp for the starter was also tasty. Great location and nice restaurant. I wish I could eat here again but I will always stop in when I am in WNY. Owner was very welcoming and passionate about the establishment and the food, and also gave me a free beer! I will recommend this to my friends.
