I bought a cake at Cold Stone in Westfield this evening. I did not want the cake written on, because of sloppy cake writing in the past. The girl behind the counter saw I answered with uncertainty and asked me again. She seemed confident so I agreed. She asked me to spell out the persons name to be written on the cake, and she notes it on a pad. She disappears to the back with the cake, comes back several minutes later with the cake, bags the cake, rings me up, and off I go. I get home, open the box, and she had misspelled«Birthday», she wrote«Happy Birtday» on the cake! What a joke! Never again.

Love cold stone! Love the fact that they mix in toppings — it makes the ice cream taste so much better! The staff is really nice at this location and is very patient waiting for you to make your choice. This location is usually pretty crowded, but I haven’t waited for more than 5 minutes so far.

Very long lines and understaffed location. Also, the prices are ridiculously high even for its’ Westfield location. The ice cream is fine but considering the huge price tag, it certainly doesn’t justify the cost.

Love Cold Stone Creamery — but not this location. Rude people — long lines. Went during westfields restaurant week and the sign in the window clearly stated excluding Friday and Saturday. Seeing how it was a Sunday, I assumed that the deal was valid, I was told that it starts back up on Monday. Really wasn’t interested in arguing or showing her the sign in her own window, so I walked out and had ice cream from one of the other 5 ice cream shops within a 3 block walk. Takes a lifetime to gain a regular customer and a split second to lose one.

Would be 4.5 stars… «I Scream for Ice Cream!» — Spongebob But, I would really scream for good(if not awesome) HARD ice cream, and I wouldn’t mind paying a higher price tag here, especially since this isn’t in a tourist area. My dad & I came in here yesterday with a BOGO Free coupon(any size + one inclusive mix-in). We came here in the past, always with coupons, and there was never an issue in honoring them. Just make sure you tell them before you place your order. To my surprise, they actually had Ghirardelli Caramel Choco Squares as a choice for a mix-in. Since I’m a fan of premium chocolate, I said to myself, «why not». It was a first time that I saw this as a choice for a mix-in, since previous times I chose Kit-Kat bars with my ice cream. I was glad I chose Ghirardelli as a mix-in this time. I had the Oreo Crème Filling flavor with the Choco Squares as a mix-in. It was a sweet and tasty combination, and the ice cream itself was very thick and flavorful. My dad had the mint ice cream with chocolate chips as a mix-in. I tasted his, and again, the ice cream was thick and flavorful(that mint flavor was really strong!). We were surprised that this place was empty yesterday, considering it was a nice day. Usually this place gets PACKED during warm days(& obviously during the summertime), but hey, since we got seats by the window, it was perfect. Just don’t expect that to happen every time you come here during the warm and hot days. :) I will always be back whenever I get a coupon. Cheers! :)

I don’t have a sweet-tooth per say, but once in a great while, nothing beats a fine serving of ice cream on a hot summer evening. I’m a fan of this Cold Stone for many reasons. In my opinion, itt’s premium ice cream. Seems like it is always made fresh. Yummy! There is an over-the-top amount of options and ‘add-ins’ — which allows my kids to get creative when constructing their desert. Then there is the yogurt — which is what my wife enjoys! She says it’s a lot better then the local yogurt shops, popping up everywhere. Then there’s the entertainment factor… give them a small tip(hey, the staff and even the owner are really nice there — why not!) — and they will sing you a song. Kind of a throw back to another era — and we always get a kick out of it.

I’ve visited this Cold Stone location several times and I’ve had a great experience each time. Marc, who runs the shop, is super friendly and knows his yummy product well. I love the ice cream cupcakes, and he makes me a very special Heath Bar/coffee ice cream combo with extra hot fudge drizzled on top — it’s my favorite!

My daughter loves the(gluten and dairy free) pink lemonade sorbet. CS stores their«allergy free» ice cream and sorbet in the back. The teenagers who work in this store are pretty rude and don’t appear to like their jobs. I often times take my kids to Rita’s instead as they are at the least, super friendly.

Cold Stone is a great gimmick, but there actual ice cream is not really all that good. Most people just like going because they wind up getting topings when at most ice cream places they would not.

Cold Stone Creamery is a very successful franchise. Whoever thought of this concept is a genius. If I was a dentist or a heart surgeon, I would buy stock in this company. Teenagers and parents with toddlers press up against the long refrigerator case, where a variety of ice creams are displayed. Customers choose flavors like bubble gum, cake batter, or banana ice cream, add mix-ins, ranging from candy bar chunks and Gummi bears to chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter, then servers mash it all together on an frozen slab of granite. Suggested combinations are listed on a giant menu board. One popular«creation» includes cotton candy ice cream, crushed gum balls, cinnamon, white chocolate chips, macadamia nuts, cherry pie filling, hot fudge, and caramel sauce. If this appeals to you, you need to put a diabetes meter on layaway immediately.
