Perfect breakfast/lunch place. French toast was delicious. Good food and nice staff. Will defiantly go back!

Love!!! I can’t believe this hidden gem of a place. Love the décor, love the old building, love the soup and sandwiches and coffee. Love the tables, love the feel, love the candle shop and antiques next door. Nothing not to like about this place.

found this place on our way home from a truly wonderful wedding weekend in the catskills. pressed for time we were pleased to see that the wait was almost non-existent but that there were several families enjoying their lunch. we split a reuben and a bowl of corn & crab chowder. both were solid. neither blew me out of the water. the sandwich came with a pickle and chips and that was a-ok with me. lots of choices in terms of fresh brewed iced/hot coffee and tea, very comfy atmosphere in an old mill-ish type building. we didn’t have much time to explore but there seemed to be a little gift shop that seemed charming and new englandy.

Hidden gem. They have a great selection of soups. Tarragon Chicken soups was awesome. Their sandwiches are very tasty as well. The place is easy to miss; gps helped a lot :)

Not a regular visitor to Westfield, in fact, this is the second time I’ve ever been here. But when I arrived and was looking for a place to enjoy a lunch with WiFi available and good reviews, Soups On turned up in my search. Delightful location, small, but quiet. Ordered a half a chicken pesto sandwich and a cup of their black bean/chorizo soup. The sandwich arrived and I feel like I should comment on the size of it — since it was advertised as «½» — it was more than adequate in size and came with chips and a pickle. Plus the bottled water and my check came to under $ 10.00! The soup was hot and perfectly seasoned and the sandwich was hot and melty. Wish I lived closer as it would definitely be a place I’d frequent regularly. Give it a try — if you like nice soups and sandwiches at a decent price — you’ll be glad you did.

Ordered a Reuben panini and a coffee, my daughter had cheeseburger chowder and a mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich. Mine was alright, could’ve been heated more thoroughly and the coffee eh. Daughters soup was good and so was her sandwich. Was nice to sit and look at their décor, some neat old things from back in the day. The waitstaff was friendly and courteous, would certainly return, I’d like to try the pastrami next.

This place is great. Always a different selection of soup. I have not had a bad one yet. This is the type of place that if you say you are going people will say hay can you get this for me? Chicken bacon ranch panini is wonderful.

Great food at great prices, coffee is third party so to rate them on that would be irrelevant. The store has WiFi but it’s password protected and not marketed in shop. If you ask them they will gladly give you the password. Gets really busy for lunch so I suggest for a plesant experience you go in the morning or in the late afternoon for lunch. All in all it a great place with good atmosphere. The only reason for it not being 5 stars is that for a coffee shop the WiFi not being readily available is a let down.

Tried this place on Sunday. Wasn’t really sure what to expect being its in the back of an old building. Was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. Really neat inside. I ordered the chicken pesto panini and it was great. The menu has a ton of options and can’t wait to come back and try some of them.

Soup’s On is located in a renovated factory/mill space which makes the atmosphere unique. Owned by a family in town, you get greeted with a neighborly hello and friendly smile. They are very accomodating at altering menu items to suit tastes and they jave a great loyalty rewards program. While their soups could use a little something, the selections are always a delightful variation, and with any half sandwich, including paninis, you still have room for my FAVORITE homemade molasses or chocolate chip cookie.

Needed a brunch place and had seen an earlier review for here. It’s conveniently located across the street from the most badass tattoo shop Nitemare so relatively easy to find. I love rustic exposed wood with chalkboard menus. No idea why that appeals to me so much but it’s just a cozy atmosphere. Wonderful counter service and staff. We ordered the Florida bagel, home fries, cup of golumpki soup and a chicken bacon ranch panini. The Florida bagel is easily the best of the bunch. Whipped cream cheese, fresh raw red onion, tomato and basil=perfection. My fiancée and I were pretty close to brawling for the last few bites. Home fries had a very interesting flavor to them. I don’t think I’d order them again but at least they were cooked properly. The soup was ok. Could’ve really benefitted from some spices. The panini, well at least the one bite I was able to take before he devoured it, was good. Huge slices of bacon and creamy ranch sauce. Really quick service. Hope to be back soon to try a few more soups and eat a lot more of those Florida bagels.

I didn’t want to write a review without being here more than once, but my initial impression is very good. Heck, this is my initial review of anything in a while. There’s a soft spot in my heart for rustic little hole-in-the-wall restaurants that Soup’s On filled… with a delicious coffee, a Florida bagel, and a well worn building. Heck, it was only 5 $ including tip! I highly highly recommend the food here, based on that one experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I could eat here every day for the rest of my life! I love the variety and innovation of the soups. My favorites are salsa lentil and pumpkin black bean. Yum! I always call ahead and everything is always waiting for me when I arrive. The staff is friendly and timely. The atmosphere itself is very quaint. It’s a great hole in the wall.

I made a mistake a few weeks ago. I had cheddar broccoli soup somewhere else. It sat in my tummy like a ton of bricks… mostly broccoli stalks and over salted as if they were trying to compensate for a bland soup. That soup didn’t even hold a candle to the soup at Soup’s on. No friendly staff greeted me when I walked up to the counter something I got used to from Soup’s On. No comfy couches to sit and catch up on my emails while I wait for my order to come. Soup’s on is truly just a wonderful restaurant and I love the fact that they have yummy desserts and soups that I can take home.

Nice quality food and nice employees willing to serve right up until closing. This however is my biggest problem… I really wish they stayed open for dinner or a little later in the evening for an after work coffee. The café has nice seating and a great atmosphere.

Here’s the deal: I always pass this place and it’s never open. So I took extra time during work to make sure I could stop by and fulfill my craving for a good cup of soup. As a GF vegetarian, there were two soups I could eat, both not the most appealing sounding and disappointing considering this place specializes in soup. I settled for Broc Cheddar which was meh. I wanted it to knock my socks off, but to be honest, it tasted like the Panera variety. I also ordered a tomato/mozz panini. The cheese wasn’t nearly warm and the sandwich was underwhelming. In addition, I treated myself and friend to the last two cinnamon scones: disappointing. They tasted dry and burned. I chatted with people in line and they RAVED about the turkey pesto so go with that instead of any of my selections. I’ll give this place another chance to try something else on the menu, but overall I was underwhelmed. Oh and the line was WICKED long and the staff was running all over the place.

The waitress kept messing up when she was taking our order and ringing it up. Charging and not charging us for items which was concerning, but she was nice. Breakfast was nothing special and my toast was burned. The place itself was a clean, interesting to look at and a big part of the appeal here.

It’s time for me to do my due diligence and finally let you know about a great little place here in The Whip City. I’ve been frequenting Soups On! for lunch breaks or bringing business associates here for meetings for a couple of years now and just haven’t had a chance to write the kind of review this establishment so rightfully deserves. So here goes: The food is great. The menu consists of homemade soups, which change daily, as well as panini and deli sandwiches. They also offer breakfast foods such as bagel sandwiches and croissant. Additionally, it is priced so that you’ll walk out with both a full belly and a full wallet. It’s a great value. One thing of note: it’s not a fast food joint and while the service tends to be quick just be aware that if you stop in during a busy period, expect to wait 5 to 10 minutes for your order. Overall this is a great stop for breakfast or lunch here in the city. Personally witnessing their growth as a regular patron over the past couple of years has been nice to see. If you don’t get your soup in a fresh bread bowl, you’re missing out.

I’ve visited Soup’s On three times — each time when we had guests in town and wanted to go out for breakfast. Unfortunately, the service and the food has been off two out of three times, resulting in this two-star review. If I could give half-stars, this would be 2.5. There’s a wonderful woman who I’m guessing is the owner — when she’s working, the service and the food are pretty good. But, when she’s not working, the place is staffed by high school kids who are mostly just collecting a paycheck. They’re more interested in each other than in customers and they look like they just rolled out of bed(wearing leggings and sweatshirts). It took 10 minutes to bring out our coffee during our last visit(on a weekday morning, no less) and when I ordered a breakfast sandwich and asked what my bagel choices were, the girl working the counter pointed to a shelf and said the choices were there.(As if it would kill her to rattle off four bagel options.) The food, once it finally arrived, was mediocre. My sandwich was alright, but not great, and another person in my party had undercooked potatoes and overcooked eggs. Though I’d rather frequent local establishments than chain restaurants, I think I’ll be crossing Soup’s On off my list of breakfast destinations.

Thank you to Scott L. for pointing out this gem in the heart of Westfield, MA! Soup’s On is a little breakfast & lunch café located on the north side of the river, along Union Street, and in the same building as the Yankee Candle store. Union runs parallel to Elm Street, and it’s for the northbound traffic coming across the bridge before merging back with Elm Street and climbing up the hill. This is a great spot with seating for about 20 people, well-packed into a comfortable environment. The menu is written in chalk onto a large blackboard which takes up the wall behind the front counter. You’ve got the usual breakfast sandwiches, French toast, and platters along with a great selection of coffees and hot tea. For lunch they have sandwiches, paninis, loaded baked potatoes, and of course some great homemade soups. I counted 6 varieties of soup on the menu. For lunch today I tried their kielbasa soup which was slices of the Polish sausage cooked with sauerkraut, corn and carrots in a beef broth. Sounds a bit weird, but it was very delicious and the perfect thing to have on an overcast & chilly day. To that I added a roast beef panini which was sliced roast beef, cheddar cheese, and a horseradish spread, served with chips and a dill pickle slice. It’s a nice homey atmosphere which is very popular with the locals. Thanks for the tip, Scott!
