Awesome, fun, activity loaded place for kids! The adults can hang out with drinks and apps while the kids swim, jump in a bouncy house or play in all the beach sand! A great place for kids to have a birthday party

$ 6.00 for a draft at the tiki bar? I can live with $ 13.00 for a burger, but not $ 6.00 for a bud light draft.

I had the best experience at this place with the waitress Dee. This place was fun, food good, but a bunch of barely 20 somethings(rude) were at the table next to me and so rude to her. I would of had some very uncivil words for them, but she kept her cool, remained professional and even after their drunk harassing of her, kept her composure. Food was good, drinks a plus but the stellar service of Dee, to be commended and a reason to go back in my book.

As a person in there mid 20’s, the Sunset Tiki Bar has always been a fun place to grab a drink with a couple of friends. I know one of the bands that plays regularly so I have often enjoyed going to see them perform. But Saturday night I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any restaurant so far. About 6 of us decided to meet up and grab a table to enjoy some drinks and listen to the bands playing that night. Our waitress was an older woman(maybe late 30’s) and a bigger build with brown hair and could not have been ruder to us. Well only two of us ended up getting an entrée and the rest of us were given attitude by the waitress because we decided against getting food. It took much longer than it should have to get another round of drinks and when she came by she didn’t ask the entire table if they needed anything else. It almost felt as if we were a nuisance to her. Two people from our party left about an hour and a half in and another person showed up. We closed out our original tab so the two people could leave. We had asked her to split the bill and she had to ask what everyone ordered exactly because she didn’t remember. I was shocked. I, myself am a waitress and have been for 4 years and I would never rely on the table to tell me what they ordered. It is part of your job as a waitress to have known. It took us so long to find our waitress again that we had to go up to the bar in order to order another drink. Our waitress had the audacity to give us a lecture about how we CANNOT go up to the bar to get another drink because«this is how she makes her money» and asked us if we understood what it meant to be a server. To which I shockingly replied, «actually I am one.» She then lied to us and told us there was an hour long wait at the host stand for a table. We were sitting in plain sight of the host stand and there wasn’t a single person waiting. And then told us we had to leave. I wish I knew the name of this waitress because she honestly should not be allowed to work in customer service if this is how she treats people. I had come, along with a group of my friends, to enjoy a nice Saturday night out and this waitress ruined it for all of us. I would never in my right mind treat a customer like that. Have some respect.

$ 14 for the smallest portion of yellowfin tuna, which was overlooked and barely enough to feed a small child. $ 7.00 flat for a small cup of Summer Sam Adams. Way overpriced for the food and drink.

If you’re in the Merrimack Valley, and you’re aching for a summer spot, you have to go to the Tiki Bar at least once. We’ve been there 3 times, and have had a great time, every time. It’s not«out of this world» great. But, the Tiki Bar at Nashoba is a lot of fun on a summer night when you’re looking for something to do. The sunset, a sandy beach, grass-thatched roofs, and mello acoustic music set the stage for good bar food and terrific Caribbean drinks. Tonight we had Flatbread«Piandinas», Jerk Wings, Santa Fe Turkey Wrap, and the Sausage n’ Peppers( !). All very good, well worth trying. For drinks we had the Rum Runner, Bahama Mama, Pink Lemonade, and the Frozen Raspberryrita; all great. But the best choice is the Tiki Margarita; at $ 7, it’s a great margarita that pairs well with anything on the menu. The service is fantastic; well staffed, and happy friendly wait people. The prices are moderately high for a middle income couple, but since it’s just a «once a year» thing, it’s well worth it. So get a few friends or family together, head to Westford, and have a guaranteed great time at the Sunset Tiki Bar & Grille.

Been there many times. Nice outdoors location. Good beer, good food even though it’s a little on the expensive side. Still ok. They’ve got a live band every night. Very nice! A few weeks we had a company outing there, all you can drink and more than you can eat. It was amazing. Food was delicious, waitresses were very friendly and upbeat. Great great location for a company outing. Everyone had a really good time! Mosquitoes? After all, it’s close to a pond, and a forest? Wouldn’t there be swarms of mosquitoes eating you alive all night? Surprisingly, no such mosquitoes. I don’t know what’s their secret, but there wasn’t a single mosquito bite all night! Awesome! Highly recommended! PS: be careful of the speed traps on Powers Rd. when you exit the property… And make sure you remove your fluorescent ‘drink’ bracelet… cops like seeing those…

What do you expect? Let’s get the facts straight; this is an outdoor party bar on the property of a ski slope. It’s booze, outside, in a tiki bar, but on a ski slope, in Westford. What could be cooler? I’m not sure why this place is having so much trouble getting love on Unilocal.Other review sites reflect much more positively, and I suggest you run it through a search engine before deciding not to try it out. We had nothing but a great experience with the crowd, the bartenders, the guys at the door. We’re older than some of the folks that may show up expecting a Boston or Cambridge(or Hawaii?) experience, but for a couple who’re just looking to hang back outside with a drink and not hear a TV blaring, this place is the bizzle. Food’s decent, too. If the bad reviews are discouraging to you, try it a bit earlier, like when they open. It might be that as the crowd gets crazier and the bartenders overworked, the experience for the not-drunk and near-drunk degrades. We, though, had a blast. Beat the heck out of a trip to the metro.

LOWERYOURPRICES!!! The concept of this place is cool but it really needs a lot of changes. The prices are absolutely ridiculous… from the $ 24 lobster roll to the $ 11 Mai Tai in a little plastic cup. c’mon… the prices are insulting… especially for low to mediocre quality at best. They need to realize they are not a high end establishment and their prices are out of control. Think about opening on sat or sun during the day? We’d love to sit in the sun and kick back some cocktails if you ever lower your prices.

Nice idea but poorly executed. Drinks were decent(C-) but $ 7 – 13 for a margarita was way too steep for them. The food was pretty bad, especially at the price point. The atmosphere is entertaining but they need to clean up the area significantly. Porta-potty’s for the bathrooms, snow fencing for the perimeter barriers, a bunch of kids toys from what appears to be the dump swap table. Glad we went once but zero desire to go back ever again. Between this and their Chrismas carny event Nashoba has lost all credibility in my book.

** short version(updated Sept 4th): I was insulted by a drunk bartender and I reported the incident. Jonathan, an employee of Sunset Tiki, reached out to me and informed me he was fired that same night. ** I have read all the reviews for Sunset Tiki(since the first one posted by Jonathan D. who is an employee of Sunset Tiki it’s ok, no points off for giving yourself a 5 star review). I’ll get right to it, The atmosphere is fun and not what you expect in suburbs of Boston. The waitstaff was slow and we were seated at 6:30pm when the ratio of staff to patrons was easily 2:1. The food was ok, my friends steak tips were very chewy but the pizza and turkey wrap was good. The mixed drinks weren’t too bad but a little too sweet. The night was great until my group(two girls and two guys) approached the main bar to get drinks. The bartender looked confused, almost high as a kite when he approached. The girls asked for Blue Moon, «we don’t have that» when she pointed to the menu he took it from her hand and hid it under the bar. This was a pathetic attempt at flirting and my friend Ilyse immediately told him«I just want a beer please, can you do that». This is were he went for a lil walk. He slowly stumbled from one register to another then the tap, to another register. I am uncertain if he was being slow to anger us or if he was drunk and or stoned. He returned with a beer for me and my friend Will. We both paid cash and he returned with our change(short $ 1 for me but back to that later). He asked a second time what the two ladies wanted and got their drinks. When he returned with their drinks I pointed out he gave me $ 3 back not $ 4.(Oh and a 16oz Coors Light aluminum bottle is $ 6! my local bar charges $ 8 for a pitcher) The bartender then did a lil dance as he made is way to the tip jar, retrieved a dollar for me and placed it on the bar. He then pointed at me and said«This balding cheap F**K is going to pay for your drink.» then pointed to my female friend. I said«Are you high, drunk or stupid?» «Whatever you cheap prick» he replied. His eyes were glossed over and his inability to even run the touch-screen register was a dead giveaway that he was on something. The waitress working beside him avoided eye contact with me, it was obvious she knew his actions were wrong and wanted nothing to do with our altercation. I reported the incident to one of the bouncers on my way out. He and I had a good conversation and he seemed genuinely interested in my experience, but I have zero faith in this establishment flipping my 1 star to a 5 star review. To do so would require a re-hiring of half of their staff… Which isn’t a bad idea.

This«dollar store beach theme meets Jimmy Buffet» bar in the middle of the woods is a great atmosphere if all you’re looking for is a drink after work with your friends and don’t want to dwell in a darker bar somewhere. And that’s fine if that’s what you’re looking for. I know some people do not like the bouncers at the door who do indeed scan your ID to make sure it’s valid. I happen to like this as I think it helps with security, but when your 65+ mother wants to go in, is it really necessary to scan her ID too? I get a sense that they scan these for other slightly nefarious reasons, but that’s all complete speculation. Anyway, on to more important things… The first thing you ought to know about this place is that it is VERY loud. Like, I know it’s 5’oclock somewhere but could turn down the music, this isn’t a rave, loud. This makes it nearly impossible to hold a conversation with your tablemates. I’m not sure why the music has to be that loud at 5−7pm. Maybe turn it up at 9 or so? The hostesses are aloof and rude, which, as a paying customer, is offputting when I’m told I can’t «sit at this table because I’m not eating right now.» Seriously? I’m not allowed to sit at a table simply because I’m lingering over a drink before dinner? Your bar isn’t even 1⁄3 full, I’ll move when it gets busier. Get over yourself. All this stuff is completely forgettable for a good time though and isn’t really the main point of this review and it’s negative star number. The main reason is as follows: The chef ‘momentarily’ forgot the difference between guacamole and wasabi and slathered the latter all over my mother’s sandwich. She has COPD. This was no small issue. While the bar was sincerely apologetic and gave us quite a substantial gift card to compensate, and essentially did everything a sincerely sorry establishment would(and should) do, I cannot overlook the fact that the CHEF doesn’t know the difference between wasabi and guacamole.

I wanted to add a review from a family’s point of view. We went yesterday for the first time, somewhat hesitant from the reviews but wanted to give it a try. We arrived around 5:30 on a Wednesday and it was already pretty full. We got tables in the sand right at the front, since we had 4 adults and 4 kids. The ID checkers were very pleasant and our waitress, Annalisa(maybe?) was really great. The pond — there is a water slide, which looks like an old playground slide with a hose attached to it, but it worked perfectly fine. There’s also a diving board for jumping off of. You have to pass a quick swim test — swim from one dock to the other(maybe 20 – 30 feet?) without stopping to use the slide or diving board. Both the 10 year olds passed it easily. There are also 2 floating docks a little further out. There is a cordoned off area in the very shallow area for little kids. The lifeguard was fairly strict about where you can swim and where you can’t, and I’m fine with that. Probably better than not. It looked like a bunch of kids were on one dock with nets looking for things. The water was a bit iffy looking to me, but I assume they test the water quality and its fine. It was as warm as bath water. Maybe most importantly all 4 kids(aged 6,7, 10, 10) LOVED it and said they wanted it to be their summer hangout place, even though we have a pool at home. We ordered drinks and food. The food took a long time to come out, but our great server said the manager comped us the pizza and tacos so that was really nice. The pizza was surprisingly good. The drinks weak. I have to say overall we all had a nice time. We left at 9PM when kids have to go, but it was about how long we would have stayed. Its a fun addition to the place, different than any other and if you have kids who just want to splash around and you want a low-key place where you can eat with your feet in sand, its a fun place to go. My main complaint would be that the live music was too loud and never really stopped.

So it’s a great Caribbean atmosphere for both singles and families and the jerk wings are to die for, but the lobster roll was 2 stars. It’s of great meat but the thick hoagie roll and weird green leaf(which was not iceberg lettuce as the menu said) ruined it along with a $ 24 price tag.

Wow I can’t believe this place has so few stars?! What ever security issues that they might have had in the beginning, they have fixed in my opinion. The gate guys were nice enough, even though my license was expired. I do feel bad for them trying to keep us drunks out of that pond at night, I don’t know what it is about drinking near a water but I’s hard to resist the urge to run into that bad boy. I’m sure just before last call you screamed«Last one ins a rotten egg! It would trigger a massive chain reaction. For some reason very time I spontaneously go for a swim while I’m drunk I still get caught surprise by all of the problems of being soaking wet with no towel. The pizza was very good, far better then 9 out of ten bar pizzas. The steamers were extra fresh and the order size was a great portion. It’s not dirt cheep, but I think your for sure getting a good value and a very hard to find atmosphere for this area. Plus love it or hate it we only get so many warm summer nights around here, I’m not going to waste mine indoors not surrounded with beach sand, tiki lights, and people cool enough to realize how great this place is.

Ugh. I’m really torn on this review. On the one hand, if you have kids and want to take them to a pond with free parking and no charge for getting to the water while you have a few drinks at the bar, this is probably a five star place. However, if you don’t have kids and you go to the tiki bar for a night out with friends for dinner and drinks… it’s pretty rough. The atmosphere is GREAT! They have lawn games, sandy beach like areas, and live islandy(it’s a word now) music, but that’s pretty much where the goodness stops. I went with three other people. When we got there we were told it was an hour wait for a table so we went to the bar to grab a drink. The bartenders were moving so slow it took us almost a half hour to get one drink. When our table was ready, it took about 15 minutes before a waitress came over. She took a drink order, brought them back and we didn’t see her again for half an hour. We each had steamers for dinner and all four orders came out cold. We didn’t complain about that and ate them anyway and the service just got worse from then on out. The waitress disappeared for 30 minutes at a time, never checking to see if we needed anything. We ended up having to go to the bar to order drinks even though we were seated at a table with a waitress… The drinks were strong, but sometimes so strong they were tough to drink and everything was pricy. Drinks ranged between 7 and 9 dollars… this is Westford, not Boston. Overall, this place has GREAT potential but they really need to get it together when it comes to service and quality for their prices. I would possibly go back on a weeknight for drinks but never again on a weekend or for food.
