A great local spot that has been around forever. Solid breakfast, good lunch and the last time we were in we saw Adam Sandler.

Visited recently and was disappointed. I ordered waffles and they looked like they were purchased at the store not made on site and they were cold had to send them back to be reheated.. The pancakes were just OK didn’t really taste like they were made from scratch. Ordered bacon barely got about three slices. I’ve gotten way more at other establishments.. Next time I’ll stick with the eggs. The place is very historical and there are nice things to look at while you wait.

Cool old fashioned place that serves breakfast all day. People were nice and friendly. Service was good and very fast. It is cash only like a lot of places in the Hamptons.

I had not been here in a while, and I wanted it to be good – but it was a pretty poor breakfast. Everything was luke warm and bland. Toast was not buttered, it just seemed like careless and poor short order cooking. It was a quiet Wednesday morning, no excuse to be this bad. Never again, sorry Bun and Burger – up the street and far far better!

Cute little hole in the wall luncheon with old antiques. Service is quick and food is really good. Family owns home cooked food cash only.

Complete local spot. If you’re there on a one off lunch meal coming home from the beach then of course there may be some duds. If you’re going there every Sunday for brunch or something of the sort then you will not be disappointed. Egg sandwiches that rival most of the local delis, all you can drink coffees, and chicken salads are a regular for me. I’ve also enjoyed the French toast sandwiches and pancakes. Just looking to cram some cheap and delicious food down your gullet while chatting with the owner’s 88 year old mother? Go to echarts.

One word, Nasty! Restaurant sets in a prime location for foot traffic and drive-by traffic. We stopped in for breakfast hoping for good food. Service was okay but the restaurant was very cold and dirty. Food was average at best. Pancakes came out cold. Hot chocolate was just hot water that looked brown because the powder was so cheap. I ordered eggs, home fries and toast but I found a hair on my plate. I didn’t even bother saying anything to the server I just didn’t eat the rest of my food we paid and left.

Eckart’s is essentially a diner, and it’s a good one. This place is as charming as all get out(whatever ‘all get out’ actually means), and much cleaner than you’d think considering it’s 100 years old.* The downside of being around for 100 years is that people have heard of you, and during the summer I’m sure waits are insane on the weekends. But in the winter, you should be able to get a table without much trouble. As far as I can tell, breakfast is the move. Eggs, toast, potatoes… they do it, and they do it well. I’d add a side of corned beef hash to anything you get, too. It’s what’s good. Actually, I might just ask for corned beef hash with a few eggs on top. When it comes to lunch, Big Ray is my dude. I don’t know who he actually is, but he seems to like BBQ sauce, American cheese, and onion rings on everything, and I can get behind that. The only downside is that he seems to also like his burgers well done(even if you order them medium rare)…but that’s kind of how diners roll. Corned beef hash. It was worth saying again. _______________ *When I’m 100 years old, I’m planning on being FILTHY. In more ways than one. I also plan on mainlining heroin, but that’s a separate issue.

Today at Eckharts the staff of 3 girls were friendly enough but all sat down and took a break, eating a meal together in the dining room. We were the only table seated. After about 10 minutes my husband saw our waitress get up and realize she forgot to put our order into the kitchen. We were there almost an hour total because of this, and I missed something important. The food was not good. Would not recommend, although the décor is retro and nice.

Quaint, little, vintage diner in Westhampton Beach. Greasy spoon, so go with an appetite and not when youre on a diet. Lovely staff. Good coffee.

Great little place in westhampton village. Great menu with lots of creative options. Blueberry bread French toast was excellent. Milk shakes are delicious. I had a chicken sandwich there for lunch which was very very good. Get there early it’s a busy place

This was supposed to be the best breakfast place in the Hamptons. However, when the OJ is out of the package and being sold as freshly squeezed its kind of downhill from there on. If the restaurant cannot understand the difference then I have to wonder about other aspects. The breakfast overall was dissappointing — not a place that I would go back to.

Very laid back establishment that serves breakfast all day. I highly recommend sticking with the breakfast options since they are so delicious. Only open for breakfast and lunch.

Tried Eckart’s twice. Busy enough for the food to be fresh and service to be fast. It is both. Italian wedding soup was spicy, sandwiches good. It’s a good place to stop when you get into the Hampton’s if coming in from up Island as they say lol. for something simple and quick. Just south of Montauk Hwy and 1 block north of the village in Westhampton. Easy to find.

Good food! Other than the olde tyme odor, it was a good meal. My daughter had chicken fingers that were delicious and the shoestring fries were perfectly fried! The chicken sandwich I got was really good too and had perfect bread! If they could make it look antique without it smelling antique it wouldve gotten 5 stars!

This place is so awful I’m in shock over the reviews. Maybe the people writing the reviews have been going there forever so they have nothing else to compare it to. The pancakes were thick and undercooked. The carpet in the back in just disgusting. And to top it all off it’s expensive. And cash only. The waitstaff however, was lovely, so that’s my 1 star.

Even in their 100th year of operation, Eckart’s is still delivering great food. The old style café is always crowded but the wait for a table never seems to be too long. Vintage décor all round with WW2 newspaper headlines and LIFE magazines on the walls. Their pancakes will mos def satisfy your hungry appetite. Before you hit the beach, head over to Eckart’s by the circle in Westhampton Beach.

We came here on our weekend in Westhampton. My go-to diner breakfast: Cornbeef Hash. They don’t have it on the menu but I added it as a side and ordered 2 eggs with bacon and toast. DELICIOUS and hit the spot! :) Thanks Eckhart, the service was slow but the food was yummy.

Eckarts. I think I stopped calling it that somewhere around 1998. I’ve been going here for years when in the Quogue. For years now we simply refer to Eckarts as LSD. Lousy Service Diner. Very fun to say in polite company, hey let’s go get some LSD! The service as complained about is and has always been Lousy. I stopped long ago waiting for the waitress to show up for a coffee refill. I just go get it myself, it’s funny the waitrai change every couple of months and usually get replaced with one sporting a similar predilection for drama. I like the bad service there, it’s not the faux grumpy«we are just acting like this so you will feel faux insulted» It’s genuine –I don’t have a clue how to wait tables or really have a strong desire to learn-stuff. I have been without a fork so often I am seriously considering bringing one from home. The service makes me laugh. Giggle actually, when I do get my own coffee invariably the waitress will suddenly jump up and say«oh, I’ll get that for you» if she is around. I always give a good natured wave and say that’s ok I needed the stretch. What could possibly be the draw to this little place of old newspapers and liquor bottles of Elvis? The FOOD. Yup every single time I come here the food is great, not gourmet, no feta shallot anoki mushroom omelet with a merlot reduction that’ll be $ 36 and yes you do look like a berenstein bear flash of ‘tude. Just simple good comfort food. breakfast food. This is where I first learned the awesomeness of sweet potato french fries. This is where I can order a western omelet, sweet potato fries and coffee and know that it’s exactly the same as it was 5 years ago. 10 years ago, now going on to 20 years ago. Same plates even. Five stars for timeless classic come, stay, eat, talk, get your own damn coffee everything else in the world has changed but us good enough to be a meditation centering exercise $ 12 and out place.

I’d just love to give this place 5 stars, but I cannot. As a matter of fact, I refuse to. The restaurant, operating since 1911, is cute and contains some of its original seating and art work, a delight for an antique buff like myself. Too bad last Monday morning’s staff consisted of a blonde who apparently had just participated in a wet t-shirt contest(her shirt was soaking wet) and two teens who hated life and didn’t know that omelettes are eaten with… you know… forks! The food is fantastic. Great omelettes(spinach and mozzarella… yum!) and the chicken salad melt was, according to my friend, one of the best ever made, but the service? I understand the staff would rather be sleeping or spending quality time at the beach or mall, but come on now… wake the fuck up, smile and make sure your customers aren’t asking for utensils, napkins and condiments every five seconds! Geesh! Come here for the food, but be prepared to possibly be disappointed by the service. I will not return. Once was enough. Next.
