Found this bagel place with good reviews through Unilocal as I was in town and it was up to its standard. Food was absolutely fresh and so good. The only small issue is that it’s not very organized, there were people far behind is that we’re getting their ordered first, and be ready for a long wait. But it’s worth it!

I’ve been reading reviews of this particular Goldberg’s Bagel Shop. I’ve been to 6 different Goldberg’s Bagel shops from the Hampton’s to the North Fork and the Westhampton Beach Goldberg’s Bagel shop is by far THEVERYBEST! The bagels are definitely different than the other locations, they are BETTER! The sandwiches are amazing and the customer service is OUTSTANDING! I travel from Boston to New York and when I visit Long Island, I specifically stop by This Goldberg’s location for Nova w/Veggie Cream Cheese on an Everything Bagel. So when you read a review that this Goldberg’s Bagel Shop is different then the other locations, BELIEVEIT! Because it’s truly better!

Is this really Goldberg’s or did they just buy the name? I’ve been to the ones in both Southampton and Riverhead and the bagels seem so different. Even the spreads are different, ask for assorted tofu in WHB they don’t have it yet the others do. Why? Even the morning specials like those in Riverhead are so much more reasonably priced. Anybody know the answer is this really Goldberg’s?

Definitely worth the trip from anywhere. They line up here early and for good reasons.

This place should be called Goldberg’s Gestapo Deli. Walked in and placed my order while I was talking on my cell phone, but I pressed the phone to my ear, ordered an egg salad sandwich and waited patiently at the cash register for my order. When I asked a very abrasive looking blonde woman with glasses about my order she rudely told me that they don’t take orders from people«on the phone», as if Goldberg’s is some kind of totalatarian régime that regulates whether people can order according to their ridiculous rules and regulations. I have never been in a Deli that treated me that way, especially one that has the gall to charge $ 11 for a bordering on mediocre egg salad sandwich. Absolutely appalling.

What Alexis said below. So true. So true. We’ve actually banned this place from our routine. I have been blamed so many times by the people who work here(including the owners) for things I didn’t do. Did I pay for that orange juice my son was holding? Did I get on the right line before I paid? Is that regular cream cheese on my bagel or is it actually scallion cream cheese(which apparently costs more)? I wasn’t lying, I was on the right line and that orange juice came from elsewhere, but why should it matter since I just spent 30 bucks on overpriced stuff here? Chill out — while you’re running the most important business on the planet, my family is just trying to enjoy some gluten. You’re not curing cancer. Your selling bagels. But not to me. Never again.

Make sure you get here early on a Saturday or Sunday morning as the lines get long. Bagels are amazing, flagels are amazing and there are plenty of sides available. Prices are a little steep but it is the Hamptons.

I’ve always felt a little disdain for the ‘flagel.’ And not just because most portmanteaus are the absolute worst(see ‘chillax,’ ‘webinar,’ ‘bromance’, ‘tofurkey,’ ‘momtrepreneur’ and ‘mocktail’). Because there are a few portmanteaus that kick serious ass(see ‘liger,’ ‘shart,’ and I think that’s it). At Goldberg’s, however, I have nothing but respect for their flagels. Instead of desecrating the entire bagelmaking institution and essentially just charging the same for a smaller, less delicious bagel, Goldberg’s has taken their regular bagel and just flattened it out a bit, as the gods intended when they first conceptualized the flagel. The result is that their flagel has lost none of the carby goodness of an actual bagel, but it’s really just an excuse to slather the greater surface area with more cream cheese. Which is something I hope we can all get behind. What’s more is that Goldberg’s everything flagel has more everything on it than I’ve ever seen(including salt, which should always be included in the everything). Both sides of the flagel are absolutely covered in onion, poppy, sesame, salt goodness, ensuring that even if I split a bagel with my wife, we both get everything, as opposed to just her because she’s bigger and scarier. Yes, just about everything is obscenely expensive and the service could use some serious work, but if you aren’t happy about the everything flagels here at Goldberg’s, get some new taste.

I’m a bagel snob and Goldberg’s delivers the goods. Lots of variety, quick service and a nice breakfast sandwich and spread selection.

Six dollars for a bacon egg and cheese! I will repeat that! Six dollars for a bacon egg and cheese! I lived in NYC and the prices never even approached that territory. I only got the sandwich, imagine what else they’re overpricing!

Should be renamed Golberg’s Infamous Deli. The bagels are okay, but the service is so bad that you’re almost better off going to a supermarket, or at least to one of Golberg’s other stores. Just not worth the aggravation of dealing with the indifferent staff.

Bagels are just okay, and after there was such a thin layer of spread on my bagel order(seriously, I could barely taste it), I ended up feeling like they didn’t care if my order was actually good, or worthy of what I paid for it. I’ll have to remind myself to bypass this place next time I want breakfast, and grab a piece of fruit instead!

Goldberg’s is a quality deli. The salads that I have sampled are quite good, particularly the whitefish salad. When we leave WHB to return to San Francisco, we routinely bring a pound of the whitefish salad because – let’s face it – this New York food stye food isn’t available in Northern California. And we go for the flagels as well. Same reason: they are really good and you can’t find them on the West Coast. Caution: the place is insanely popular on the weekends in the summer. The flagels disappear early in the day. Inevitably, a few people will be unhappy with the service at these times. I think it is really not the fault of the restaurant. It is the overflow of customers. I mean, there is a reason so many people show to eat or take out at this deli.

The management at this place is terrible. I placed my order and waited for over 20 minutes for my French toast. They brought me waffles and I said that they placed the order incorrectly. The server and owner both told me that I actually ordered waffles, thereby calling me a liar. I ate my sisters order and she ate mine. Mind you, the waffles that they served me were not fresh, but very clearly FROZEN. If you want to go to a place where a paying client is treated with a shred of decency, do not come here.

Good bagels, above average appetizing and salads(tuna, whitefish, etc.) Good breakfast place, but there is no table service. They know how to slice nova unlike a lot of other deli’s. Recommended for breakfast and lunch.

Goldberg’s has very tasty bagels. If you go early there isn’t much of a wait. Some times they’ve gotten my order correct, other times they have made errors(wrong bagel type, not toasted) and this has been when the place is empty, no excuse for that. But the bagels are good, so I give them a pass. The only thing I have an issue with is signs all over the store thy say«we’re watching you, you’re on camera». In WHB I don’t think that’s necessary. It’s an upscale area and those signs don’t seem appropriate given their clientele.

As New York as it gets. I thoroughly enjoyed Goldberg’s I knew it must be good because it was very busy early on Sunday morning. They had a wide selection of authentic NY bagels and spreads. Loved the scallion cream cheese and whitefish salad mmmmmmm. The staff was very helpful and ready to take my order. They really moved quickly and knew what they were doing. Can’t wait to go back!

If there were an option for NOSTARS, I’d have voted for that, thus I’m begrudgingly giving just one. Goldberg’s a great lesson in why monopolies are bad for customers. These folks are the rudest and most inept shop owners I’ve encountered in a very long time. I won’t bore you with the details, save to say that after waiting 15 minutes at the register to pay for a bagel and a sandwich, and after being accosted by some«coffee station monitor» when he saw my wife exit with her coffee while I waited to pay, the owner, ordered me out of her store after finally taking my money. I complained about the excessive wait, and she went on a rant about it. Oh, and when I got home to eat, they got the sandwich order wrong! A big FAIL for Goldbergs.

Always relieved to have Goldberg’s for a quick light bite. They are super busy in the summer season but have a good system of taking orders on one side and quick bagel orders on the other. Bagels? dryish floury — A few bites. easy not to finish. Flagels are very good… Salads are ok. the tuna and white fish were good. Nice spinach feta in crispy phyllo — that worked and was good. Breakfast sandwiches got a thumbs up for good ham. Coffee is ok too. Plenty of experienced people to assist always, off season also.
