Really terrific seafood… large menu… lots of special items. It’s hard to find seafood like this, the quality and selection. Servers were terrific… clam chowder was as good as any I’ve had in Martha’s Vineyard… Delicious hot sourdough bread with soft butter… Crab Louie salad with dungeness crab and Gulf shrimp was very good. They even gave me a free sample of an east coast oyster which was the first oyster I’ve ever eaten that I did not despise! Very good key lime pie. Loud atmosphere… the place was jam-packed(a Saturday night). My second time at Lure… been to the one in Camarillo as well. Love it. highly recommended.

Everyone I asked on my trip said I had to eat at Lure. So we decided to go and I am not sure it lived up to the hype. We had a 30 minute wait, and were given a nice table. The drinks came, the apps came and then the mains. For the main course I had the Alaskan Halibut, it was cooked nice and the fish was the star. The sides were pretty good also. A Coworker had the same, but the fish was over cooked. I will say save room for the chocolate cake.

Lure will not let you down. Lure is a good restaurant. I wish Lure was the standard for how all chain restaurants should be run. Very high quality fish /food, excellent customer service, and a welcoming non pretentious atmosphere. My family, girlfriend, and friends have all frequented numerous times and Ill share some of our favorites. Appetizers: I enjoy their New England clam chowder, fresh clams, nice viscosity, it’s what you want in a New England style chowder. The lobster spinach dip, is more of a lobster crème sauce, its not bashful on the heavy crème and butter, and its a little pricey, but its tasty. You can pour that crème sauce on anything and everything later in the meal. My favorite fish to order is the Sea Bass cooked about medium. With such a beautiful fish don’t order it cooked through; allow those delicate and bright flavors to shine. My brother loves the seared ahi tuna with wasabi mayo on the side. Very high quality. My favorite side, and favorite bite of food, by far, The Rainbow Carrots. Wow, these are good. You wont eat a better carrot in your life unless you’re personal friends of Thomas Keller, or Joel Robuchon. I have yet to try dessert, I certainly will in the future. You could order another order of those rainbow carrots for dessert, they are that good.

I was so expecting the food be as amazing as the service and the ambiance — but it wasn’t. The food was bland and quite frankly boring! The ceviche was good — quite flavorful. Fortunately the yellowtail was dry and not good. The crab Louie salad was quite a disappointment. Maybe we just didn’t order the right dishes???

Great fresh fish. The best Ono I’ve had n the mainland. There was a wait without reservations. The interior is beautiful, but the restaurant is really noisy. Enjoy.

I came here with my boyfriend and was really impressed. The restaurant layout, selection, customer service, and quality of food was great! I love everything about the way it looks in here, the color scheme is really fresh and modern looking. The waitress was really helpful and informative when recommending menu items. The mahi mahi, potato cakes, and clam chowder were all delicious.

The interior is beautiful… marble counters, island bar in the middle, beautiful booths, and friendly servers. I sat at the oyster bar and Kyle and Manny were so knowledgeable about the different kinds of oysters, levels of brininess, and regional location. They were both incredibly attentive and very helpful even though they were busy with other customers. We ordered baja tacos, ahi ceviche, clam chowder, half a dozen raw oysters(fanny bay), and two charbroiled oysters. — Baja tacos were so good, it had this pourable tartar sauce on the side that was killer and they were perfectly crunchy. — Ahi ceviche was more salsa than ceviche, and it was a little too acidic. You could only really taste the lemon. — 50⁄50 of New England and Manhattan, I should have just gone 100% for the New England, but it was lighter and different. — The $ 1.5 oysters were the star of the show, go fanny bay. They’re sweet but they’re also on the larger side to get the greatest bang for your buck.

I hosted a group of 10 people on a busy Friday night. Our table was ready when we arrived and they allowed us to sit down even though most of our party was not there yet(appreciated it!). The restaurant itself is fairly large and they easily accommodated our party. It does get very loud(and it wasn’t because we were loud) so if you want to have a more intimate dinner this may not be the place to go. The interior is upscale but still causal. Service was acceptable — nothing memorable. It was a cool evening but they seemed to have the AC going inside the restaurant and I had to ask them to turn it off since it was blowing right on our table making it very uncomfortable. A lot of reviews mentioned how good the drinks were. There are definitely a lot of choices but both my husband and my son did not like the drinks they ordered and they tried a couple of different ones. We had a number of appetizers including the calamari(good but nothing unusual) and some oyster platters(enjoyed by those who ate them). For the main course my Sand Dabs were VERY memorable and definitely the highlight of my meal. The Key Lime Pie was also very good. Parking was available, convenient, and free. The location is good — right off the freeway. A good solid choice for a meal if you are in the area.

I like this location in Westlake it’s a must try! The restaurant can be loud but has a great energy. The décor is a Hampton style contemporary fish house. The bartenders make an excellent cocktail. Fresh out of the oven hot crispy bread rolls and butter offered when you are seated. The New England clam chowder was my favorite. My friend enjoyed the Veracruz red chowder spice. The artichokes sold out but may need to try my next trip. Shrimp cocktail offers nice jumbo shrimp. The crab cakes are light and delicious with a cabbage corn salad. A friend had the Baja fish tacos which was very good not on the menu at dinner. The fish and chips are delicious with a pineapple cole slaw that was very refreshing. The tarter sauce was freshly made. Seared Ahi tuna with wasabi aioli is a favorite. The potato cakes is fabulous Must go back to try dessert next time. The flour less chocolate cake looks amazing. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Make a reservation it can be busy at times. The entrées are a little pricey but the quality is worth the money. Plenty of staff provide friendly attentive service. Parking is easy to find. Nice happy hours! Great oyster bar at the back of the bar area.

Wow Wow Wow X10. Came here for Happy Hour and I am Happy, Happy, Happy. Our waitress Alia is fantastic. She has a delightful personality and extremely professional. The happy hour food was out of this world. The clam chowder was fabulous, the guacamole was great, the baked fish taco was wonderful, shrimp cocktail was delicious & you have to order the steak dinner. Love the oyster bar and having a fireplace right next to our table was a highlight to our evening. Everything was Perfect!!! If I could give this place 10 Stars, I would.

Came here for Mother’s Day and had a great family dinner. This is our go-to seafood spot for the past few years. We drive over from the Valley, even though King’s is closer to us. I think that Lure has better service and has a more contemporary, upscale feel to it than King’s in Calabasas. In terms of the menu and prices, the two are pretty comparable. I usually get something off of the grilled fish section of the menu(mainly trout or mahi mahi) and it always tastes great. They’re not doing anything new or interesting — just grilling the fish with light seasoning. But the seafood always tastes fresh and is generous in terms of portion size. They have a really great variety of side dishes. I got the Brussels sprouts and the sweet potato fries. The Brussel sprouts are grilled with light salt and pepper and were very delicious. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. I recommend asking for the pink sauce(I believe they call it the chipotle sauce) if you order the sweet potato fries. We started out the meal with the fried calamari, which I highly recommend. It’s definitely enough to share with 2 – 3 people. For cocktails or wine, the Riesling and the patron perfection are my two favorites.

I met a few girlfriends here for happy hour last week — really impressed! The service: quick and attentive. The ambiance: love the nautical feel of their interior! I glanced at their patio… Beautiful and can’t wait to try it next time I visit! The food: delicious. We started with the crab cakes and calamari. High quality ingredients, flavorful, and nice presentation. Next came the entrees(I think 3 out of the 4 of us had salads — good portion size and, again, really good ingredients). The wine: $ 3.50 for a glass of white wine on happy hour?! I’ll take 3! I will most definitely be coming back! Although my boyfriend doesn’t care for seafood — there are plenty of other options on the menu I know he’ll enjoy!

Went to Lure’s — Westlake for a friend’s bday dinner — party of 15. We reserved the private dining room which seating is maxed 12(comfortably). The room was nicely decorated with a sea /fishing theme and behind us was this gorgeous casing for their wines. The temperature in the room was a bit warm with 15 bodies in there, we asked our waitress to turn on the AC, and after the second time, it finally kicked in. Service with our waitress was slow(I don’t even recall her name), however towards the end she started being more attentive. Aside from service, the food was DELISH! We ordered their battered calamari and ceviche for starters. Ceviche is my favorite there. Mmmm. For dinner I ordered their Fish n’ Chips, a $ 16.95 plate usually served with pineapple slaw and fries however that night I wasn’t feeling slaw and fries. Our waitress informed us that as of recently they allowed people to sub those items with items off their sides list. I ordered my other Lure’s favorites — cilantro corn salad and quinoa salad. Both were very flavorful. The fish was just right. My friend had another one of our Lure’s favorites— the Lure’s Cioppino… fire roasted tomato broth with fresh fish, calamari, clams, mussels, gulf shrimp and a scallop. Definitely recommend this! Lure’s has a great atmosphere, situated right off the freeway for easy access.

This has always been a favorite restaurant of mine, either for happy hour or for dinner. The parking is sometimes a challenge as the lot is shared with a Marriott so be prepared and patient. For happy hour, I love the spicy shrimp taco and calamari and for drinks I love the lemon drops that Marcus makes, by far they are the best lemon drops around. I don’t love the ahi ceviche as I find that there is not enough of the tuna in it and it seems to always be a disappointment to me. For dinner, I tend to order the white sea bass with my sides being the chopped salad, I also enjoy the spicy tequila lime shrimp pasta. If you like salmon, order the scottish salmon as it’s one of the best salmons you can find! The atmosphere is loud, not the perfect place to go on a first date but the energy is great so I’d recommend visiting with friends. They have TV’s around for the men who enjoy watching games but the games are not a priority for this restaurant.

I have been looking forward to writing this review for the simple fact that I can relive the incredible experience I had at Lure all over again. First of all the restaurant is decorated beautifully with warn tones of blue and gray that really brighten the place up. There are fish paintings and other fishermen style decorative items that are creatively placed around the restaurant. Our hostess was very welcoming and seated us right away. Our waiter Nathan was also very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. There were 7 of us in our party and he was attentive to each and every one of us. As we waited for our meals to arrive we were kept busy with office talk and warm bread. The bread was delicious and definitely freshly baked. My boss and I had ordered the clam chowder as a side so that arrived before our meals. It was fantastic and I honestly would have been content with the chowder and the bread alone. However, just as I finished my soup our meals were arriving. At the table we had lobster ravioli, swordfish tacos, almond crusted some kind of fish, a beautiful colorful salad with avocado, and my favorite the Parmesan crusted sand dabs with a side of sweet potato french fries. Everyone was raving about their meals as we shared tastes around the table, but I was so in love with my choice that I never wanted to finish it. The sand dabs is a certain way the flounder is cooked and is so light, fresh and amazing. I want to try different things on the menu but I couldn’t imagine being at a table and watching someone else enjoy my sand dabs lol. I want it now! Anyways 5 stars all the way! Nathan great job!

Lure Ahi Ceviche and Fresh Chips The flavor was great, and there was a ton of different things in thie ceviche, but I kinda wish there was more Ahi. The chips are made in house and come out nice and warm, but the ceviche does need more fish. It does taste pretty good and I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t get it again. Grilled Fish Tacos THE bomb! This was definitely the best item we ordered. One of the better fish tacos I’ve had. Huge piece of fish and it will fill you up. Sally’s Sand Dabs aka fish plate. It has a lemon sauce and according to Unilocal, this is the most popular item on the menu. We ordered it twice because it was so good. I would for sure order this again next time.

I enjoyed dining at Lure Fish House and happy to add another positive review among the so many others. The restaurant’s décor is upscale Casual and the staff is super friendly and attentive. As for recommended dishes, my Lure Cioppino with fire roasted tomato broth, fresh fish, calamari, clams, mussels, gulf shrimp and scallops was amazing — each piece of seafood was cooked perfectly.

I love the food here! I could probably eat there everyday. I had read numerous reviews and also had this place bookmarked for awhile and I had to see what the hype was all about. I ordered a half dozen of oysters as an appetizer and the oysters were fresh and came from different parts of the country. They had a beautiful Oyster Bar. I ordered the Lingini and clams as an entrée and it was creamy and flavorful. I think it was the first time I’ve had a creamy sauce, but it worked. My wife ordered a cioppino and she loved it. She said it was one of the best sauce she’s had. I’ve also had their lobster tail and lobster roll on different occasion and I love that their seafood is fresh and the flavors are delicious. I’ve heard their happy hour is the place to be, but I’ve yet to try it. This place has a beachy and swanky vibe to it, and it’s affordable for fresh ingredients and seafood. *Parking– There’s plenty of parking in their lot.
