I’ve been here couple of times and totally love it. Their sushi is great and the prices are reasonable. All them employees are really friendly and welcoming. We happened to be here at a time where is was a little girls birthday and the entire crowd was singing with the disco ball spinning.

Agree that this sushi restaurant is probably the best in the area. Awesome vibe when you actually dine in, but most of the time we just get to-go. Tried a variety of rolls and it’s always pretty decent. Their SB uni has been consistently good, albeit pricey. Consistently good for sushi rolls. But if you want fresh sashimi that melts in your mouth, it’s probably best to make the trek into LA.

Sushi rolls were ok… The fish was rotten on the rainbow roll. Care enough to have a better vendor for your fish. I get price can be high but invest a little more in your customers I literally got sick. Probably will never return. Garlic edamame was the best thing we had and our server was very nice. Cool atmosphere though wish they would get a different vendor for their food… Imitation crab won’t cut it with a side of rotten albacore… No thank you.

The service is impeccable. Pierre is very personable and a fantastic host. The servers made me feel very welcome and attended to my needs promptly. The ambiance is unique for a sushi bar. Very hip and updated. Great music. I love the vibe. The food was excellent. I had the spicy albacore roll and yellowtail sushi, as well as one more that I cannot recall the name of. I believe it was baked crab topped with albacore. All were superb. I recommend this Sushi Planet to anyone in or around the Westlake area.

The best sushi I’ve had in the area! This place is definitely more about the rolls than it is about the sashimi(in my opinion), but I really enjoy Sushi Planet every time I go. The ambiance is casual, sort of intimate, and fun, with great music and two TVs. I enjoy sitting at the bar or at a table, and they also have outdoor seating. Service is nice and generally isn’t too slow unless they’re really busy, and usually the wait time isn’t too long, if there is any wait at all. My go to, and probably their most popular roll, is the white roll which is tempura style roll. It’s a pretty dense roll, but very flavorful nonetheless. My favorite however is the love roll, which is lighter and just as flavorful with a delicious, garlic-y sauce. Their rolls are pretty large which makes them great for sharing, and a few shared rolls are usually enough to fill me up. They always have a menu on the wall with their specials which they regularly change up and I enjoy trying new things from it when I go. Sitting at the bar is fun and the sushi chefs are friendly too. I can’t say they have the best sushi I’ve ever had, but I always enjoy my food and have a great time there.

The sushi is really delish here and they play fun music. They need to bring back the green tea milk shakes though! Those were literally to die for.

Generally speaking this chain offers good reliable food. However, after months of trying to place orders to go on the phone and getting a busy signal for hours on end, I finally found out why. Today I called to place an order to pick up and I was put on hold for 25 minutes. Never once did someone pick up the phone or ask me to keep holding. Because of all this I’ve begun to give my business to the moor park location. Which I recommend. They answer the phone in a timely matter and have to go orders ready quickly. The Moorpark location is a much better managed restaurant compared to the Westlake one.

On top of it being the best sushi in town, they keep the restaurant very clean. I am there almost every week. The service has been great and they always try and accommodate me even when they are busy, which is all the time. You might have to wait to sit down, but it’s worth it. The only way to improve is if they turn the music down.

I love Moorpark’s Sushi Planet and this one! I cannot get enough of their chicken teppan fried rice, miso soup, white roll, and crispy tuna followed by two orders of mochi ice cream! I had tried almost everything on their menu at both locations(exact same menu) and have never had a bad experience with them. Customer service is always above and beyond expectations! Also I like how at this location they also have hard alcohol not just the normal beer and wine selection. This location also is a little small so it’s very intimate which I LOVE. It was nice to come here on a Saturday, sit outside and be able to talk normally to my fiancé. I hate having to talk loudly at noisy crowded places but here you never do even at its busiest!

Sushi Planet is a good place to get sushi with nice outdoor seating but the prices are a little bit too high. My family and I were seated outside right when we walked in with zero wait time. The waiters quickly gave us water and we contemplated what to order. We decided to get albacore truffle, salmon sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, tuna tacos, and a small cut roll. I also ordered a seaweed salad for myself. The seaweed salad was not to salty and was lightly dressed. The cucumbers at the bottom were a nice touch and separated it from a standard seaweed salad. The albacore truffle was good but not incredible. The yellowtail was alright and the salmon was fresh and delicious. My favorite part of the meal was actually the tuna taco which was extremely flavorful. Overall the food was decent but for the price I was expecting a little bit better. It is still a good restaurant to get tasty sushi but just beware that it won’t be a cheap dinner.

Also the second most awful sushi restaurant in the Conejo Valley. The only thing that was edible were the Japanese scallops. Spicy tuna on crispy rice was a greasy mess of fried chopped tuna with hot chili oil and mayonnaise-absolutely disgusting and disgraceful

Very good selection of rolls. Firecracker Roll was spicy and good. Other favorites include Ultimate 911 and Happy Roll. Outside seating.

We’ve been here several times. Small place with outside seating. The ambiance is a little slick. Music a little loud. Several TV’s The rolls a VERY good. Menu pictures match nicely with the finished product. Really good presentation. Full bar. Sometimes service is slow. But, we think it’s worth it. You won’t be sorry.

Sushi Planet looks like Sushi Closet Door. What looks like a little and dark closet from the parking lot opens into a party. A lot bigger than I expected, every table was full in and outside on patio, with folks clearly having a good time. Then again, it may have been the sake. The menu is HUGE with pages and pages of pictured rolls. Looking closely, many are closely the same, but with some variations. A little pricey, but I like the selection. 1. Garlic Edamame($ 5.25) — nice flavor, very oily. Wouldn’t order it again.(3.5 stars) 2. Sumo Roll($ 11.95) — Shrimp tempura and avocado inside, topped with tuna and sumo sauce. Best of the night, leaving me craving it days later.(5.0 stars) 3. Tuna Tataki($ 15.95) — 6 thinly sliced tuna sashimi in a citrus base soy sauce. I have had this tons of times better and less expensive.(3.5 stars) 4. Tiger Roll($ 11.95) — Imitation crab salad and fresh water eel topped with butterfly shrimp and eel sauce. Worst of the night. Imitation crab was too much and a bore.(2.0 stars) 5. Sayuri Sake($ 13.95) — Unfiltered and semi-sweet, not the best but really good.(4.0 stars) In the end, I can’t wait to return.
