Applebee’s

Service was fantastic, but unfortunately my steak was cooked beyond well done despite that fact that I asked for medium. It was also very salty. I should have had the server send it back, but we were in a bit of a rush.

I do love this location, I come here often for late night snacks and have never had any issues! Just your standard Applebee’s… Good apps, drinks & friendly service. I REALLY miss the queso blanco dip though, but I know that’s not the fault of the location itself.

this place on a Friday night is high school central. that is fine with me, i prefer a louder setting when i’m going out for drinks and food.
anywho, this place is everything that the positive reviews say it is. friendly and fast service. now i know it is a chain, and i usually do NOT like applebees because the food is never hot. however, they had a lot of late night specials going on so i thought i would check it out.
we were able to order three apps, an entrée, and two very strong drinks for only $ 34. you can’t beat that!
for a chain restaurant this place has got it going on. friendly service, fast service, hot food, and great specials! half off apps after 9 (sometime during the day too) and drink specials everyday!

I like Applebees, especially the Westland location. The tables are always clean, the staff are always nice, and the drinks are always cold.
I went here a while back after a date with my old roommate’s girlfriend while them two were dating. (Don’t worry, it wasn’t awkward or anything, just the part when she shooshed me while she was on the phone with him) any who, back to the review… we’ll save that portion of the story for the X-​Hamster review section.
Onto the food.
The beer deals are great, especially during happy hour. They have a good ap deal, like 2 for $ 10, 3 for $ 12, which is good if you are a hungry hungry hippo like me (or a hungry hungry juggalo like the rest of the Westland Community).
Some apps and bar snacks are awesome. Cheesesticks — they taste like cheese sticks. Nachos — they taste like nachos, sliders — they slide in deliciously, meatballs — good.
But then there is their Spinach Artichoke Dip. Hated it. It’s not even half good, what’s yall doing Applebees? C’mon man lol. I mean some people love it. When my friends order it, they will finish it. I think it’s bland and soupy myself. I like my spin-​dip throbbing with THE THICKNESS!!! But that’s just me. Everything else I’ve tried has been perty good, can’t go wrong with them boneless wings either.
Salad — Good.
Soup — Tortilla = good
The best thing on their menu is the Southwest Chicken Wrap though. When you don’t think it would be spicy, you take a bite and boom, a little kick. Nothing too strong, I mean it’s definitely not a Rhonda Rousey kick in the groin, but it’s definitely no baby kick you could feel in a pregger’s tummy either, a nice relaxing sizzle if you will. I love the flavors so much.
Another pleasant surprise are their steaks. I have gotten better juicer and more tender steaks from this place than them Auss-​holes at Outback and at a much lower cost. Steaks at the bees are definitely under-​rated.
Another item I like is their regular Southwest Chicken Salad and their Fettucine w/​Broc and Chicken… unfortunately these items are no longer on their menu :(
I guess Applebees has really good ribs, but I can’t eat those in public, too messy.
I really can’t wait to come back here soon. Applebee’s to me falls into the «Good places to take a date-​Chain restaurant category — along lines with Fridays, Ruby Tuesday’s, Netflix and Chili’s, etc. Applebees is always a solid choice because there’s something their for everyone.
The Westland location is probably the best one in Wayne County.

I don’t like one of they waitress. I think she’s name is Nicole P. She is a very bad .she make me don’t want come back anymore.
Me and my friends we coming very late. Around @12:00am. They closed at 2:00am. The waitress was not professional at all. She don’t give me and my friends (we are 4ppl) any straw for the drinks we need to ask to got it. And we need ask knife to cut my steak. My friends need to ask A1suce to her steak too. When we ask to have knife she was rolling her eyes and impatient. We wait 1hr got us knife .For the A1 sauce we never get it.
I guess I need coming early next time.

I wish there was a way to give no stars. The bathrooms had no soap or paper towels which makes me wonder how the chefs wash their hands. I brought this up to the manager, by the time we finished our meal it still hadn’t been resolved. Our waitress was terrible at best. She kept forgetting to bring us our drinks and when we got them they tasted terrible! The beer was skunky!!!

Great waitress today and the manager was nice also! Food was brought out very quick also. Very friendly staff today would definitely recommend this location

Had dinner here Thursday night. We eat here 1 or 2 times a month. It looks like the accountants took a look at food cost and decided portions were too large. Spinach and artichoke appetizer was much smaller than in past visits. Prior portion was around 1 cup plus. This serving no more than ½ cup. Server was clearly embarrassed and when she set it down said «you can get more chips if this is not enough». No worry as the lack of dip matched the lack of chips. The breadstick that came with the pasta dish was significantly smaller vs prior visits. The only bright spot was the chicken breast although smaller was cooked nicely.
Overall quality was good.

Walked in to a half empty restaurant at 8:30p and was seated immediately. At 8:40 still hadn’t received our drink orders. At that time the hostess who seated us came up and asked if we had been served, we said no, she told us she would go grab someone. At 8:50 she came back and I informed her no one had come to serve us yet and that we had waited long enough and left. Last time I was here the food and service were both good but they really dropped the ball. I watched on server straightening chairs and wandering around the side area keeping busy, and one server even took and order for the table in the booth next to ours looked at us and walked away. Another one walked by on her way to the kitchen looked at us and kept walking.

Ate here two years ago it was awful. Got a few entrees and desert to go tonight it was by far the worst food I have ever seen in my life. The steak looked fake, grey and the grill marks looked painted on… never seen a steak so odd. We didnt even touch it. Broccoli was rotten and brown… the fries were glistening in salt… riblets looked like mushed blobs and tasted pretty much the same. 5 or 6 different plates all inedible.

Always great food at excellent prices. One of my favorite restaurants.

I love Applebee’s for their Tequila Lime Chicken. It’s one of my favorite dishes. Also, they have great margaritas.
This location has been here since I was a little kid. The service is usually pretty good!

Never a long wait… if any. Food always hot and fresh. Service impeccable. Close to home.

First time coming to this location — we were helped promptly when we walked in and greeted.
We both went with the specials $ 12.99 for 3 appetizers which they were good and they also had drink specials — I gotten long island for $ 4 (VERY WEAK!)
Waitress was nice but came to the table like every 5 mins until we were done — we tried to tip her but after the bill she never came back. Maybe she left since we ended up still chatting long after we cashed out.
Place would be 5 stars if they made drinks like DRINKS! (If u know what I mean). So until then I’ll stay with the extremely cheap drinks — nothing fancy here.

I was very pleased with the service and quality of service. The grilled shrimp & spinach salad was wonderful. The restaurant will be going threw a renovation soon. Looking forward to seeing the new look.

It’s a chain. I often wonder if they open a micro-​package and heat it up for me. LOL
I did order one of their lower calorie fares and it was pretty good. I expected it to be terrible.
I am not of a fan of chains but I guess they have their place. Service was ok, not great, food was the same.

Normally I wouldn’t waste time on a review for a Chain eatery like this but I had to give major props for some of the best customer service I’ve had in a while.
After a long afternoon of driving around my mother-​in-​law and wife who were in shopaholic mode, I was happy to get some grub. We all decided on Applebees mostly because it was 10pm and they were open till 12am on Saturday night.
I took forever for us to decide but my wife ordered the parmesan shrimp with 9oz sirloin, my mother-​in-​law ordered the chedder burger, and I ordered chicken fajitas. Drinks were on special so my wife & mil had frozen strawberry lemonades and I was in an Ice Tea mode. The Ice Tea was featured with various Fruit Flavor shots so every glass I could try something different. I tried mango and pomegranate and loved the mango Ice Tea the best.
What made the evening out the best was not just the food but the wonderful and amazing attention to detail by our server Jessica. She was on the ball — bringing us our appetizer — chips & queso blanco, and drinks very fast. Everytime we had something to ask she was always quick to respond. Even with 8 other tables she was always whizzing by ready to please. Even when my MIL had issues with her meal tasting off, another Entrée was delivered without hesitation.
I think I must of drank 8 Ice Teas. and with the chips & queso I got full I couldnt finish my Fajitas. I rarely get the Fajita’s but glad I did.
We took our sweet time with dinner and Jessica never showed like she was wearing down. She even hung out with us telling us some story about where she grew up. I don’t even remember most of it as I was busying eating.
My wife nudged me and said make sure you write a good review on Unilocal later.
