worst repair ever paid 75 dollars so mower could run twice then was told it was the way i loaded and unloaded the mower how much more money do they think they are going to milk out of me how much is fair to get a 300 dollar mower running they replaced an air cleaner that did not need replacing replaced oil that was just replaced all it needed was a spark plug and they didnt even get that right i think they let a mentally handicap person work on it very unsatisfied wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy

I have purchased a number of yard equipment items from Daves over the years. I have also had repairs done there. I feel they do good work and that’s why I return there. The gentleman who appears to be in charge there doesn’t seem to appreciate your business and borders on being rude. Also, they do not give a repair estimate. They repair and bill only, in my experience.

Have been going here for equipment parts and general help for years. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Its crazy how such a small shop can have so many parts. They also have a nice selection of walk behind mowers and stihl equipment.

We have used Dave’s in the past and were very happy. The quality of the repair seems to be as good as ever but customer service has noticeably slipped. I practically had to beg them to take my $ 40 for pick up and delivery. I was told a simple tune up and sharpening would take 7 – 10 days. I called on day 11 and it was done on day 12. Not awful but not as good as when Dave was there.

Recently, my mom and I decided to keep our business there — after years of my dad using them — and had an awful experience. Customer service via phone or in person leaves a lot to be desired. Remember I’m paying YOU — don’t make it seem like such a favor. We brought in a mower, weedwacker and blower and was quoted 7 – 10 days. After 3 follow-up calls — all on my accord — we got the mower back in 11 days. Works fine but needed just a tune up, oil change — NOTMAJOR. The weedwacker and blower took another 2 weeks. The worst part, I asked on 3 separate occassions to call me FIRST before doing ANY work on the blower. What did they do? Went ahead and fixed it and I only found out after I called YETAGAIN to check the status(and the weedwacker was done 2 days prior but no one decided to let us know about that either). We paid our bill — begrudgingly — and will NEVER take anything there. I won’t even go into the lack of helping my mom carry anything to her car… smart a$$ remark that we didn’t appreciate. Dave’s Engine & Mower Shop… Thanks, but NOTHANKS. If you’re reading, take your business somewhere else.
