The only game in town as far as «you buy we fry» stores. After passing by it for close to a year(and not seeing much business) I finally decided to give it a try. Not much real estate on the inside, and the place was clean for the most part and didn’t stink of bad grease which I hate with a passion. The guys were nice enough so I don’t have any complaints about service. Prices were higher than other places out east, but it’s not many places around for competitiveness so you kind of have to deal. While the shrimp was great it had too much seasoning on it and made you crave something to drink fast! Same goes for the catfish nuggets and fries. That being said, it wasn’t overly greasy. I don’t have any real complaints about the place, but I did go pretty much when they opened on Wednesday. Experiences may vary.

They scam you by charging you a frying fee. The menu days one price but your are charged for them coming it. When I questioned the son about he tried to use for an explanation ebt cards. Totally disgusted. I ordered a two piece catfish they charged me $ 4.99. I received the fish and no bread. I also order some mac & cheese for $ 2.25 it was fake and orange. Disgusted again my last time doing business with Labon and his daughter Leah; who hung the phone up on me, while her dad yell in the background come back for the bread. My recommendation is do not go there just drive to Inkster to Fishermans.

I’m impressed with their catfish sandwich, which consists of 2 ample pieces of fish(it’s not on the menu but you can get it made hot an spicy, which I love). Also the chicken shawarmas are very tasty with their special garlic sauce on it. Lastly, I’m quite fond of their Mediterranean salad; and I’m sure it’s the house dressing that captured my fancy, as a salad is a salad, but the dressing makes it. It tastes like olive oil with lemon juice & herbs in it. Ali, the proprietor is very cordial. It’s a small place that has housed at least 2 different businesses that have failed since I moved here 4 ½ yrs ago. So far this one has the longevity.

Looks like it’s out of business, but I’m going to try it anyway! …And I wish I hadn’t. Place looks closed from the outside, except the doors front & back propped open to vent the 90 degree interior. It’s small and decidedly dingy & cramped. Lots of boards proclaiming«specials», which I imagine were necessary to move product, but had prices similar to those in the regular menu. I have no idea how they keep their stock of seafood fresh, as the place seems like it does very little business. Anyway, I ordered the 2 Pc catfish combo & a side of 6 hush puppies. Got the food back to work(it’s strictly carry out here) and dug in. The catfish was very bland, but the batter was a nicer light type. Unfortunately, the fish could have been in the fryer for a minute longer. It was not quite cooked through towards the middle. The fries were standard, as was the cole slaw. The hush puppies were not good at all. They tasted like deep fried cardboard. I tried it, I can take it off my list, but I wouldn’t make the trip again with so many other choices out there…

Krispy’s was anything but! We tried variety of fried items in combo form to the tune of over $ 30. Frog Legs, Chicken Wings and Breasts, Fried Shrimp and Fried Cat Fish and French Fries. Nothing was actually crispy. The batter was light and the Shrimp and Cat Fish were OK, but the Frog Legs were chewy and flavorless and the Chicken is actually better anywhere up and down the street. Everything was kind of mushy and not very appetizing. The drive through was convenient and the people were nice, but the food wasn’t worth the price. I won’t be back, 1 star is a gift.

I loved my fish from here, It wasn’t like most places that serve batter dipped fish. This is like drake mix or seasoned flour, straight up classic at home style fry down. It was super crisp, only ½ of the crunchy fish made it home. The chicken wings in my wing fish combo were massive so I get the pricing. I had the 4 wings and three fish plank combo, which came with fries(good) and bread(bad). I’ve been looking for good fish and chips and while these guys may not fit your definition of battered fish I dug it.
