Oh MAN!!! This place is cool!!! My husband took me here to look for Christmas gifts for our 3 boys. When we pulled in the lot all I could think of is WHY are we at a hardware store??? But this is no ordinary hardware store. This is also the Michigan hobby shop and hardware store Mecca! We found the coolest remote control micro drones, remote control cars, planes, trucks, helicopters, trains, and everything else you can imagine. There was a complete aisle of Boy Scout supplies and another for the Girl Scouts. We bought several things for homeschool in those aisles. The train aisle not only has trains and tracks but everything you need for building layouts, gardens and miniatures. They had slot cars GaLORE! If your are an enthusiast or a collected you really need to check out all the cool slot cars. I was drooling over quite a few. Be sure to look up when you get to the hobby area. The planes are super cool! Arts and craft items, painting and drawing items, models, puzzles, ships, planes, cars, and trains. It’s a young mans heaven here!!!

My fondest memories growing up in the city of Westland during the 70s was this wonderful treasure of a hardware store that was within riding distance from our home. It was a little known secret that they also had a great section in the back that was devoted to hobbies. Almost all of my early plastic Tamiya models were purchased from this store. I moved away over 10 years ago and have not been back to visit until recently. Although many years have gone by, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had remodeled the building and the hobby section now occupies nearly half of the floor space! Their inventories now include state of the art RC planes, helis and buggies with aisles of replacement parts to repair your weekend wreck. Plastic models are well stocked with everything from kids snap together kits to large scale exotics. Along with RC items, they also have a large stock of slot cars, model trains, hobby supplies and, of all things, everything you need for your Boy/Girl Scout club. Their hardware section is like a candy store to us grown up kids. I can always judge the strength of any hardware store by it’s nuts and bolts section and this place has over 3 aisles of «help your self» selections to complete any project I can come up with. And the staff are friendly as well. Now, if only I could find a reason to move back so I can be nearer to this great shop…
