This has got to be the worst nail salon I have ever been to. The customer service is horrible. I should have left when the girl before me walked out crying because the nail tech destroyed her natural nail. I came here about a week ago with my one daughter. She picked out a color and she said she wanted to have ONE nail painted another color. so she did and when she went to go pay they uncharged her $ 5, I asked them why and she said because she did two colors. keep in mind not a design, a nail just a different color. I told her she should have said something before she did it so she knew it would be an upcharge. She wanted to argue with me. So unprofessional. I had to go back because my other daughter also had a gift certificate. My daughter asked to curve the edges so they weren’t so square and she said it would be $ 5! What! Who has ever heard of that! So basically the cost on the window is a lie to get you in than you upcharge you for everything extra! I said this has never happened before in any other salon. She again wanted to argue in front of all the other customers. My daughter even brought her own OPI nail polish because the ones they have there chip off within a week! I myself work in a salon and provide hair and manicure services to clients and would never treat or try to get more money out of a client for things I know shouldn’t cost more!

Mom and Sister got last minute mani/pedi on a Saturday at 11:30A walked right in and was seated. We both got the deluxe pedicure. Which was pretty nice lasted about 40 mins. We decided to get Shellac and moms was done perfect! Sister’s was bad it looked like a rush job, however the young woman that came to do her design came to the recuse. She took off the shellac and did it over. She made what was turning into a bad experience into a great one. I was going to rate a 3 but gave a 4 because of this Nail tech’s kindness.

I usually get my nails done at a house by my regular lady. But this week I kinda had a nail emergency and she was too busy to fit me in so I decided to go to PK because I’ve been there a few times for a pedicure. Anyways, the lady hardly said a word to me, she rushed while doing my nails, it took her like 30 min max which is definitely not long enough for acrylic nails. She didn’t even smooth out my nails, they’re all bumpy looking and feeling. They look awful! You can tell they weren’t filed smoothly and also the polish has a bunch of black spots in them. It’s so clear that they didn’t take their time.

There are two types of pedicures… those that are relaxing and spa-like, and those that are down and dirty(not literally) at maintenance-type places that will take whatever kind of mess you have going on and fix it. PK is sort of in the middle of these two. My usual nail place was closed, so i ended up at PK. I was greeted promptly, and pretty pleased with the color selection. The service was good, and price comparable to what i am used to. While the décor is typical«Asian inspired», and there was the obligatory flat screen TV on the wall, it was not as nice as say, a more salon-like place. Here’s where the review is going to get hardcore. When I go get a pedi, I need them to take out a belt sander and various other tools to take care of that mess. Its totally genetics to blame, but that’s another story. The service there was pretty generic: foot soak, scrub, and polish. So, while PK is just fine if you’re in a pinch and don’t need any major work done, I’d rather stick to my norm and have all the unsavory stuff taken care of for the same price.
