Shawarma’s

I checked this place out because of the great reviews, and this was far more than I expected! I ordered the special of the day to go which was the Deboned Chicken. I chose the rice as my side and added extra a spinach pie. The meal also came with pita bread and garlic sauce. The carry out container was filled with a very generous portion of the chicken and rice. I took some out and placed it on a plate and I still have quite a bit left in the carry out container (see photos). The food was absolutely delicious! I could smell the chicken as I drove home. The restaurant was very clean! Even the paper towel dispenser had a mirror shine to it! The owners were pleasant and friendly. I will be returning again real soon.

Looking for a great Lebanese food restaurant look no further. This restaurant encompasses Lebanese comfort cuisine. I had the shawarma and it was amazing. Seasoned just right with a kick from the garlic and a bite of the pickle. It was everything I had wanted. The hummus was so good I could eat it with a spoon but it was definitely better with the pita bread.
I came to enjoy a lunch with my two children ages three and six. I was pleasantly surprised to see cheeseburgers with fries on the menu. This is a family owned restaurant where the owner cooked my food and came by to make sure everything was great. It’s past my expectation and I will definitely be back.

I had previously left a one star review and I now feel it my obligation to retract my previous review that was based on one visit. I was highly disappointed my first visit but after throwing my food out that night I happened to keep the garlic sauce which is probably my favorite food and ate it the next day with some grilled chicken and all I can say is it was the best garlic sauce I have EVER had and I’ve tried it at maybe a 100 different restaurants. So I decided I would return and my experience was a completely different one. I tried another chicken schwarma and it was fantastic. I also tried the chicken fattoush salad and it was excellent. Now I go quite often at least once a week sometimes twice a week. The restaurant itself is impeccably clean and nicely decorated. The woman who owns the restaurant is fabulous and her sons who are there helping sometimes are extremely well mannered, helpful and very courteous and I just love going in there and talking to them all. I honestly wish more restaurants were as inviting as this one.

If you are a fan of dark meat and well done deboned chicken then this is the place to go ! Time agian I get disappointed with the dry white meat that a lot of the middle eastern restaurant serve in south east Michigan. Not only is the meat juicy and full of flavor, the rice that goes with it is also pretty flavorful. Food ⁵⁄₅
My only complaint would be that it can take some time for them to make the food so I suggest you call ahead !
Also I wish they had some kind of lunch special on weekdays like the other middle eastern restaurants. I would have loved for some soup like a typical combo.

The place is impeccably clean. Everything is made fresh to order. I personally don’t care for their fattoush dressing, but that is a personal preference. Everything else I’ve had there has been excellent.

Authentic food that tastes great and is easy on the wallet! The restaurant is in a strip mall so be careful not to pass it up. The battered fries are addictive so try your best to stay away (or not, who am I to judge) and stick to the wraps and hearty traditional plates.

I love the chicken Schwarma, fattoush, and hummus! The garlic sauce is amazing. They use filet for the beef. So delicious!

Stopped in for a quick schwarma sandwich. Very polite and the daily specials seemed very reasonable. My sandwich was great and look forward to trying the rest of the menu.

We ordered carry-​out when a craving for middle eastern food hit and were looking to try a new place. I searched on Unilocal for places that deliver and Shawarma’s came up on the list. Warning-​after calling, I found out they only deliver to businesses. The reviews were good and the pictures of their food looked great! So I changed out of my pajamas and went to pick up my order. It took a little longer than the time I was told on the phone, but the 3 ladies working were very friendly and so I didn’t mind waiting. The inside of the restaurant was impeccably clean, which is always a good sign.
We ordered the hommous, a chicken shawarma, tabbouli, and a mixed grill combo. The portions were generous, the meats were juicy and tender and the hommous was very good. Overall it was delicious. I will definitely be back!

I’m new to the area and by sheer chance of luck I found this place. I ended up ordering a small garlic, small hummus and full deboned chicken. It was the most moist chicken ever. it was delicious. Then on top of that, the owner came and gave us some grape leaves to try. Omg, best thing I’ve eaten in a long time!

Amazing food, great prices, comfortable atmosphere and VERY generous portions. The staff is friendly and the place is clean, very impressed with this place. You have to try the Grilled Chicken Fatoush! Definitely going back!!!

Shawarma’s has the best Shawarma’s in the area. I had the meat shawarma it was amazing. Meat was perfect and flavorful. The hummus was just as delicious. I’m always searching for a good Arabic restaurant. Growing up in East Dearborn you become extremely picky when venturing outside the city for authentic Middle Easter cuisine. If you want the real deal eat here! I’m hooked!

We decided on the full order Deboned Chicken with Rice. It came with Pita Bread & Chips, a Hummous dip and a Garlic dip appetizer. So far so good. The Pita Chips were very good with the Garlic dip. They only have fountain drinks and Lemonade, so coffee and fresh brewed tea were out. The Deboned Chicken came out on a bed of, (rice a roni?), rice. The full order included 2 small split breasts and 2 small portions of dark meat. The chicken was pretty tasty, but a little dry. We ordered a bowl of Lentil Soup and it was a little different taste than normal, but still pretty good overall. Our Waitress was very friendly and helpful. I was looking for a lunch special, but not finding one, we ended up with a dinner portion and the cost was just over $ 20 before the tip. I can go 3 stars and I may be back…

Stumbled upon while we were doing laundry. I must say this is one of the best places I have eaten. The service was good (very nice) and the food was amazing. I have eaten a lot of middle eastern/​Mediterranean food and this is one of the best places I have been. And they are reasonably priced! And the portions were enough to take home! Will definitly be eating here again!

The owner greeted us personally and brought out grape leaves to sample. The food was great! Flavorful and fresh! The restaurant is very nice and clean. All food is cooked to order and the meat is Halal.

a bit pricier than a «$» would hint. moist beef, dry chicken. Diet Pepsi tasted fake. the rest was tasty, but the two over-​cologned idiots wearing sunglasses and eating their hummus like hogs ruined the atmosphere. worth a trip I guess.

This place is really good, I loved the food. Friendly service and great food. The chicken and the meat taste good. One of favorite dish is boneless chicken white meat was really tender. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that stops by at Westland MI.

I *love* this place. You can’t go wrong with either the chicken or meat shawarma, both are garlicky perfection. Lately I’ve been going with their grilled chicken fattoush, perfectly fresh and well dressed.
The owner is always there, always smiling, and often gives out samples of sides. He takes a lot of pride in his work, and it shows in his fantastic food.

I love shawarma, and I happened to drive by this place and thought, «sure.»
I’m glad I did. The owners are so friendly and gave us a free eggplant dip as an appetizer, which was so good.
The chicken shawarma was cooked right in front of us, and was great. Not too much garlic, but just enough.
I’ll definitely be returning anytime I’m on this side of town

Simply amazing!!! We were visiting the area and stopped by on a whim and we were greatly impressed! This shop has only been open since July 2014 but has some of the best Lebanese we’ve ever tasted!
Sandwiches are huge for the price and the sauces are delicious & perfectly balanced. This will be on our list every time we’re on the west side of Detroit from now on!
