I got a full body massage. It was great! This place is nice and quiet which makes it easy to relax. Decent price for an hour massage. I would go here again

Horrible horrible horrible I will never go here again. I’d save the 20 $ and use it for a more legitimate message place! Yikes talk about being scared.

This place has probably been the worst massage experience of my life. Last night’s horrible experience is still replaying in my mind. They are rude, they don’t fulfill their 1 hour massage that you paid for ahead of time, they demand tips that they don’t deserve, and will throw it right back at your face if they feel that it’s not enough. The worst part is, they have no problem making fun of you and laugh in front of your face especially if you are of a bigger frame and weight. I will never come back here EVER. Little did they know, I’ve lost 30lbs since my weight loss journey and am continuing to be determined to get to my goal weight. For my people out there who’s struggling, knows it’s not a easy task to lose weight, especially since it takes a toll on your body — it takes hard work and discipline. All you can ask for is a good relaxing massage after and this place couldn’t even fulfill that. So, I am saying it now and will probably say it again in the near future, please save your money and NEVER go to this massage place. I hardly write Unilocal or FB Business/Restaurant reviews, in fact, I’ve only written one in my entire life and it was a positive one, but Bamboo Wood, you had this one coming. However, I’m turning this negative situation into a positive one for myself, I’m gonna shake it off, continue to work on my weight Lesson learned, «let’s not let anybody’s ignorance, arrogance and anger affect how we percieve ourselves, we’re gonna come across those a few times in our lives. But it’s how you deal with the situation that makes you grow as a better person. And I’m choosing to take the high road.»

Sketchy doesn’t even begin to describe this place. A customer tried grabbing my stuff in the basket but luckily the worker stopped him. He didn’t get my wallet or watch but stole my rainbow sandals and left his crappy ones in stead.(Maybe the language barrier) The owner wasn’t apologetic but bought me a cheap pair at the market to wear. Becareful of your belongings and surrounding. This place needs a locker or something.

I grabbed two of my girlfriends and me them there on Sat at 11am. It is downstairs and parking is crazy. We went in, paid the $ 20 up front and choose a woman or a man masseuse. We choose two girls and a guy. My lady Leigh was AWESOME!!! Take a hair tie ladies or they can clip up your hair if you forget. They have you take your bra and top off and wrap you with a Velcro cover. They start you out with washing your feet while you get a neck and shoulder massage. Then they have you lay on your back and massage your face and scalp. Then arms and then feet and then legs. They stretch you out as well. Feels great if you worked out recently. Then they flip you over and do your back and lower back. My lady tucked my towel in my undies and rolled them down in which my entire butt was exposed. This didn’t bother me but I can see that it would some. We were in the curtained area in which it is open in the front but it wasn’t that busy and I’m not shy. I started out only thinking I was going to tip $ 5 but decided to tip $ 10 because it was so awesome and really, $ 30 total for a 1hr full body massage? It was well worth the extra tip! Ladies, wear comfy sport shorts and sandals, guys you should wear boxers or sport shorts. I wore yoga pants and it was fine but I wish I had worn shorts. Relax and maybe I will see you in there sometime cause I plan to go at least once a month… Ask for Leigh

One of the best places… they give girls a towel wrap and you can disrobe so they can massage your back and shoulders better nice head massage and I opted out of the facial massage but will try next time it’s all included in the hour I tipped $ 7

Looks kinda sketchy from the outside but for $ 20/hr.I’d come back. It’s located upstairs and the signage was not very big. Inside, they have the typical large room with those massage chairs that lay flat. Start off with the typical foot in the hot water while they massage your back, hands, arms, scalp neck. Everyone’s experience will be different depending on who their massuese is. Girls, they give you a towel to wrap around yourself and have you take your bra off… I don’t really like this method bc I dont like to expose my goodies to a room of strangers. My girl also straddled me when she massaged my back, which was a bit too personal for me… Her massage was good though, so I guess her unconventional methods are ok.

A massage is how I pamper myself. I’ve tried a number of places in OC, but this Bamboo Woods is by far my favorite. My most recent visit was last night(10÷26÷13). It is a legitimate massage establishment and family friendly. The owner and employee’s are Chinese, but the owner speaks a little English and most of his employees understand simple requests. There are no private rooms, but the atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. We usually go after dinner and I would recommend reservations. We have been going here for approximately 2 years. For first time folks, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Make a reservation. 2. Do not be intimidated by the fact the primary language is Chinese. If you can speak conversational Mandarin, great, but it is not necessary. Once the massage starts, the only thing they will ask is if the pressure is what you want. 3. If you want the deep, medium or light pressure massage, just let your masseuse know. If during the course of the massage you want more or less pressure, let them know. They will usually ask if the applied pressure is ok. International sign language works wonders. 4. The massage is very affordable, depending on your length of time. We usually go for 1 hour, but lately have splurge for the 1.5 hour — we usually tip $ 10 – 25, 5. If you had a masseuse that you liked, ask his/her name and you can reserve him/her for next time. 6. At one time they took credit cards, but I believe it is cash or personal check. 7. They may try and sell you a packaged deal. Hold off on that until you are sure this is the place you want to come to again and again. If, after a couple of visits, you’ve decided«this is the place,» then ask about the packaged deal. It. It is a slightly better deal in the long run. I usually buy a packaged deal as a Christmas present. A 1-hour massage usually goes like this — you will sit near your massage bed and soak your feet in warm water. The masseuse will work your neck, shoulders, arms and back. After approximately 15 minutes, you will take your feet out, lay on your back and they dry and cover your feet. The masseuse will then sit at the head of the table and provide a scalp and facial massage, then to arms and chest, and then to toes, feet and legs. You will then be instructed to lay on your stomach and the masseuse will once again work the back, shoulders and the back of the legs and feet. They use massage oil and at the end, wipe off with a warm to hot towel. My other half does not like facial massages so she has the masseuse skip that part and gets more work on her arms and legs. Bottom line — try it a couple of times. It’s not as if you’re shelling out $ 45 – 65(or more) at some of the other places. Find the masseuse that works for you, but if this isn’t your particular cup of tea, then try another place. Remember: to each his own.

This place is a strictly Chinese establishment, which was out of the norm for Westminster. The owner/manager isn’t friendly at all and demands«Money first» without so much of a please or a smile, he’s clearly All Business, though he was watching a drama when I came in and some variety show when we left. It was also difficult communicating with him. When I called him over the phone, he couldn’t answer something as simple as «when do you close?» and I had to rephrase that question many different ways and didn’t even end up getting it answered. The space that separates the massage area from the lobby are strands of beads, so while the light can be bothersome, I didn’t notice much noise from when I was actually getting my massage(probably because I was dying from pain, but more on that later). Now, the reason I came here was because my mom absolutely loves this place. She had a bad experience once(the person who gives you the massage really makes or breaks an establishment, doesn’t it?), but she knew two people by name who we booked the appointment with. After paying, the manager yelled(through the entire store) for the two, and they came to grab us. Okay, so now the massage. For $ 20($ 25?, pretty sure it was $ 20), there’s no way you could even PAY your friend to put in as much effort as these guys did. When I picture massage, I picture a private room or secluded area, serene music and feeling so comfortable that I almost fall asleep. Not here. I’m surprised I had any knots in my back at all by the time my hour was up and I felt like I had paid someone to beat me up. They were a bit more invasive(face down, taking off everything up top) than I was used to(it would’ve been different if I had been dressed for it beforehand but this was done mid-massage), but glancing over to see them do the same with my mom, I guess it’s just how they roll. Anyway, for me the experience was scarring, though that’s probably just me. The guy who did the massage put in so much effort, his tip was still generous. I just can’t and don’t want to deal with that ever again. My mom loved it though and said she felt extremely light and wonderful. I guess I’ll come back here someday… when I’m well over my fifties.
