Bar Louie

I have never understood the allure of Bar Louie, let alone how they have multiple locations around town. Their food is alright enough, their drinks are alright enough, and the staff is alright enough. But their prices are high across the board, for generally-​mediocre food and drink.
This location was no different.
Came here with my girlfriend and her family before a concert nearby. We have a round of drinks and dinner.
I must admit just a short time later as I write this review, I have forgotten what everyone had. So I cannot comment on a particular dish or drink.
The staff is okay: they are polite, decently attentive, and professional.
But for the price and what you get, this chain is just simply not worth it.

We sat at the bar on a Saturday for brunch. There was only one girl behind the bar and she was running her butt off fulfilling drink orders. Not once did we see her wash her hands and she actually wiped the foam off of the beer with her hands! Handling money, taking dirty dishes, making drinks and stuffing olives and not one time did she wash her hands. Service was slow and food was not anything special. Never again.

We really, really wanted to like this place. We came hear earlier in the week during happy hour and had a nice time. It was a Thursday evening, we both had a glass of wine and chips and salsa. After seeing the advertisement for Valentine’s dinner, we made plans to come back on Saturday night which would be our offical Valentine’s celebration (a day before).
Saturday night comes along and we show up for dinner. The restaurant was packed but we found a table. The server was clearly overwhelmed but she took our drink and appetizer order and bright us water. Our drinks showed up and shortly after the server bright the appetizer, turned out to be the wrong app so she took it back. Maybe 10 minutes later the correct app came out… luke warm. 5 minutes later the main entrees are delivered, leaving us no time to finish our appetizer and are served cold. Clearly they were overwhelmed with the evening as half of the entrée many was unavailable /​sold out. They did make the situation right, our drinks and the cold app were comped, and the manager did come over to speak with us. The server was also very apologetic. Honestly it was probably a very busy night that they were just not quite prepared for.
Will be back to enjoy the bar, and maybe dinner on a night that’s not quite so busy.

Normally like Bar Louie Westminster, but, we did the New Years Eve party, and it was not good. It was $ 50 for entry, alcohol, champagne toast at midnight, followed by a breakfast buffet. Got there, and got a table. A server came over to take our drink order. We asked what drinks were included, because we knew it was limited. She said draft beers, wines and well cocktails. So we asked what they had as wells. She didn’t know. How are you a server but have no idea what your well alcohols are?
Then we asked what time the DJ was going to start. She didn’t know. Where will the dancing be? Again, no clue. Turns out, though they hired a DJ, they didn’t intend to have a dance floor. Ok…
Then, at midnight, we didn’t get champagne. She apologized, and blamed the table next to us, and claimed they were really demanding.
There was no organization, and clearly no preparation either. They really dropped the ball. Don’t waste your NYE here in the future.

Went here on ¹²⁄₂₇ at 730p. It was dead so we thought we’d have some attentive service but boy we were wrong.
The food was good. We got the lettuce wraps, the quesadilla and the tater tots. All were cooked and served very well.
The drinks were great. My wife had an orange mule and I had a Guinness.
What ruined the experience was the service. It took 25 min to get our drinks, 45 min to get our food, and another 25 min to get the check. all while the place was dead, servers standing around, and no manager in sight.
This place needs a manager who cares because they have all the right pieces to make it a great place but the servers lack any oversight. They looked lazy, unskilled, and uninspired.
If you sit at the bar, I bet your experience will be great but at a table… Good luck.

If there is one thing this place screams it is ‘I claim to be better than I am’. It is the epitome of mediocrity. Nothing is really bad, but nothing is really good. Just like 9 out 10 Colorado restaurants or bars.

I go here at least 2 times a week I have never been disappointed everything I have had in here is amazing. If you can’t make a choice go with anything that says voodoo and you will be happy. As far a drinks go I am a ipa guy and the modus or crack yanker hit the spot I did how ever try a pineapple sangria one nite and have to say it was great. Staff is also friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work.

Came here for AL’s 21^st birthday. Man, haven’t celebrated with someone turning 21 in a lonnnnnng time. What a great choice. We ended up here because we were staying at Westin across the street. Our bartender was DJ and he was super cool. Took care of the birthday boy. Made great suggestions for us. Personable and genuinely wanting to make it a great experience. Very thankful for him. Everyone from DJ to the manager was super hospitable. Loved the atmosphere and welcoming vibe. This was a superb way to spend the 21^st and first drinks for my friend! Thank You DJ and staff. We had a great experience and will always remember this! Keep up the great work!

Going here can be a hit or miss and tonight was a big hit! Our drinks were tasty and our food was hot and fresh! I highly recommend their boneless wing appetizer! So delicious!

Great spot to hit before seeing a movie at the Promenade. Definitely recommend the salmon sliders and tots. YUM!
«The Dirty» (martini) is not to be missed, either. If for no other reason than the delicious, delicious blue cheese stuffed olives.

Super overpriced. Slow food service. Over salty food. Don’t get the lettuce wraps. I won’t go again.
The waiter however was very kind.

Horrible service, expensive small drinks. Don’t bother going here unless you want to wait to be served. Came later on a Thursday night and waited for a server to notice we were there. Waiter continually apologize for all the delays when there were only a few people on the restaurant.

Good beer selection, and I’ve always had good service here. As far as the food goes, it’s kind expensive except during happy hour. On Tuesdays, there is a decent burger special, so I recommend going then, but I can’t really recommend going any other time.

I got a free appetizer and sent it back because it was that bad. service was good because they were
is small and lukewarm. meatball appetizer swimming in its own grease.11.5 in real money. I live here and have limited options when it comes to food within a reasonable walking distance. The Westminster promenade is deplorable if you want a good meal for less than 18 dollars.

I like Bar Louie as a bar. Though there are decent food options, it is mostly high calorie bar food.
Busy Tuesday night with $ 5 burger specials.
Plenty of seating in a big open space.
Better than average Chicken Nacho Plate. Great pieces of shredded chicken.

Thien (pronounced ‘Tin’) is AWESOME! He is SO POLITE even during a mad rush and is super super knowledgeable about everything and makes sure you have what you need!
We went on a Tuesday after 5pm — ANY burger meal is $ 5!!!

Could be 5 star if their staff gave a shit or were trained properly. Drinks are on the pricey side but are mixed well. Food is usually darn good, have had a couple exceptions to this, but generally good. Wait times can be pretty bad. Most of the time drink and food orders would get there faster if they strapped them to the back of a carrier turtle. Music can be way too loud! I really don’t feel it is a kid friendly place. I will go back because the food is not bad and there is one or two servers who ‘get’ it.

I’ve been coming here for 4 – 5 years and never had a remotely negative experience.
After reading the reviews, I figured it out. You guys are doing it wrong. Here is the secret…

The negative reviews are all mostly about the waitstaff. Skip that!
This place has attentive bartenders who remember what you drink even if you haven’t been there in a few months. You also get a nice view of the 40 something beers on tap. Great Divide’s Hercules for $ 3.25? Yes I will.
Tuesday are $ 5 burger night. They are real $ 10 restaurant burgers that come with fries or tots. The Chicago stockyard is the crown jewel. The $ 5 burgers start at 5pm and happy hour ends at 7pm so you can figure out the sweet spot there.
Remember guys, This isn’t Applebees or whatever you people like. Its a bar. Just sit at the bar, order a $ 5 blue cheese olive martini and be happy.

I rarely give out bad reviews, especially for a restaurant considering I used to be a sever and bartender for a few years but this was not a good experience.
Came in on a Sunday afternoon during the lunch rush. I saw only 2 people working the entire time. We sat for at least 10 minutes before getting our drink order taken (with no apology for the wait) and then waited another 15 minutes until he came back to get our order. We then waited another 45 minutes for the food. Still no apology for the wait and no visit from a manager. The server knew we were not happy so knowing that he should of informed someone else to make things right and have someone at least apologize for being short handed. I can give a server a break but not this time. There was no sympathy from the server and looked like he could care less. Never again.

Came here on a spur of the moment. I was here once before and got the pulled pork sandwich which was amazing. On this occasion got some burgers which were good. Came here during a Broncos game. Place seemed fairly empty but it would make sense since they have overpriced drinks. And they know it too since only the drinks aren’t priced on the menu they only have prices for the wine. And for the martini that was mostly ice shouldn’t have been ten bucks. It wasn’t super huge or amazing. If you are thirsty then only come during happy hour. Otherwise not entirely worth it.
P. S. they did give me a dollar off my tab because it was game day.
