LOVELOVELOVE It. I’ve made an effort, as a vegan, to try many vegan restaurants in the area to help support them and to have a variety of foods, for health reasons(A balanced diet) as well as for adventure reasons(Love trying new things) It’s small, comfortable, simple, and decorated lightly which adds a calm relaxing atmosphere. My girlfriend is a first generation Vietnamese immigrant. I imagine many in the area are, and she said this place was authentic and served real food. The owner, Dave(or David) greeted us with a nice clean menu and asked if we wanted waters with or without ice to start us off. The menu was vast which isn’t a bad thing since I love choices, but I didn’t know what to pick so I went through the«House Specials» and«Noodle Dishes» since those are what I usually go for when I eat Asian cuisine. RIght away Dave saw me fumbling with the menu and pointed to an item a page or two away. Thankfully there was a picture there so I was able to see exactly what I was getting. The price was Between $ 7-$ 9 which I thought was completely reasonable. My girlfriend gleefully went thru the menu and said«Oh, they have ____, I ate that when I was a kid/My mom makes that for me in Vietnam!» She was happy as I was. The food took barely even 10 minutes to come out, and when it did, it was BIGGER than the picture and chopped FULL of noodles, spring rolls, vegetables, and fake meat with some soup on the side. I usually finish half the meal and take the rest home, its just something with the way my stomach works, but here, I DEVOUREDTHEWHOLETHING and had a big bloated stomach. I ordered a durian smoothie(Many places don’t even have durian!) to wash it all down with, and the smoothie tasted fresh and authentic. Before I payed, the owner comp’d us with wontons of some sort which he asked us to give an opinion on. They nearly melted in my mouth. The owner took the time to get to know us and ask us about our lives. He’s a white guy, told us he’s a retired cop andgave us a story of how he bought the restaurant. He spoke Vietnamese with my girlfriend and even took a picture for us when we sat in a little bike/taxi thing that’s popular in vietnam(I don’t know the word, sorry!) The place was a little hard to find if you don’t know the area. I remember going around back and seeing the restaurant store front after going up and down the street looking for the mall. Many of the locals are familiar with the area but I wasn’t. First time I came here, I had to park far away. ALl other times where I knew where I was going, I got parking on the other side of the mall and walked quickly through to get to the spot. Would come back here twice a month, on a regular basis. 10⁄10 would invite friends

I’ve been to a couple of Vietnamese vegetarian restaurants before and it has been good up till now. It’s hard to fake a lot of dishes but most restaurants do a good job with it, except for this place! There’s not much vegetarian option inside Asian Garden Mall so we had to come here. We just wanted something light so we ordered a rice dish to share. |Broken Rice Dish| $ 8.25 The only good part of this dish was the nuoc mam(fish sauce). It looks real and tastes just like the actual fish sauce. Number One Complaint: their rice is not broken rice, just regular rice. I understand everything is imitation but is the rice necessary??? Number Two Complaint: the soup they gave with the rice dish tasted just like water… not soup. I’ve made vegetarian broth before and it does not taste anything like this! Number Three Complaint: The shredded pork was so bad! I’ve also had the vegetarian version of this too and this was not anything like it. All they put was some pieces of vermicelli and called that shredded pork.

The workers her need to learn one thing that is key working in the food industry… CUSTOMERSERVICEISKEY. The gentleman working register is so rude and won’t even go out of his way to serve the customers. It gives an ugly vibe and it makes me or others who have had the same experience come again. Please work on this, please it’s a shame

Had this for our working lunch today and it was SO yummy! You would have never known that the steak was not real steak! I will definitely be going back there in the future!

I was there 40 mins before closing time. Sorry we didn’t notice Unilocal until we were on the way there and I was so glad to catch this place one time. We ordered tom yum hot pot. I was sooo good. The broth was very flavorful; it has various options including mushroom, tofu, veggie ham, bamboo… The side dish of veggies was soo fresh & also lots of choice. I was so happy & surprised they served us Rau muong. It’s not in season & quite expensive but yet it was served so fresh. They cooked the noodle(bun) perfectly so. Even my husband, not a big fan of vegan food & picky about tom-yum soup, said it was very good & satisfied. Thank you for making us super happy that night. I’ll be back soon for other choices & of course check in in Unilocal to get 10% discount(between 4 – 7:30). One less start because cash only & we had to come up to the counter to pay.

This place is awesome! My dad took me here since I’ve decided to go vegetarian. The food is delicious! We had the bi coun which is a type of sprig roll with was good but I was never a fan of the non vegetarian version. The phở ap chao was delicious and huge! They also have a little to go area where you can pick pre made food which looked amazing as well. My dad and I got some«fish» and«pork» to go. The service was good and the prices were great! $ 21 for our 2 dishes and my a few Togo items. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Unilocaler Jin Y. said it best in her Instagram of Bo De’s menu cover: «If you’re a #vegetarian or #vegan, want #Vietnamese food and you are a good student or check in on #Yelp or go during #happyhour you can cash in on all these discounts. #4.0GPA #freeEntree» Well, let’s see… I’m vegan, want Vietnamese food, and checked in on Unilocal for a freebie Spring Roll dish. They’re super generous with the portion size too. This place is a bit tricky to find. So tricky that I circled around the parking lot at least 3 – 5 times which was annoying because it’s one way so I was forced to circle all the friggin’ way around. The best way I can describe it is to look for the giant shopping center, Phuoc Loc Tho aka Asian Garden Mall. Once in the parking lot, drive down the one way section and just before you hit the edge of the Asian Garden Mall which is on your right, look left. That building on your left is where Bo De is located. Met up with Jin at this restaurant as a back up plan when our original dinner plans fell through. I was tempted to order a Bánh Xèo, my go-to Vietnamese dish, but I challenged myself to get something I’m less familiar with. So I went with the #28 Mi(Hu Tieu) Nam Vang which is described as Nam Vang’s style combination(bean starch) noodle soup. Ordering it was a bit of a gamble because I couldn’t quite figure out whether or not the waiter understood me when I asked if this soup was vegan or not. He seemed confident that it was animal-free so I rolled the dice and hoped that I would not get sick. For the record, I was totally fine. I know that’s not the best way to detect the vegan-ness of something so if anyone finds out otherwise, I’d like to have that information please :) My friend got the #51 Bun Bi Cha Gio & Tau Hu Ky Nuong. Pretty tasty and I might get that next time. Service from the restaurant itself was good. Helpful guy and tasty food came out fast. However, the custodial staff of this shopping area was kinda rude. I understand that they need to clean up the dining area but it makes it kinda awkward for customers to kick us out of the dining area mid-meal when the restaurant is still open. Had it not been for the clean up crew, I’d be giving this place 4 stars. I know that’s not really the restaurant’s fault but it does contribute to my experience. Perhaps the restaurant tenants and the building’s custodial team need to have a meeting on how to approach various closing times of various areas.

I came here because my wife likes the food, myself on the other hand, it’s my first time eating here. I got the fried chicken in fish sauce. It wasn’t as bad as I thought, with a little bit of rice, you can’t go wrong. The time I went since it was late, I was the only one there. Called our Togo order, went in and walked right back out, service was great. It’s a decent size restaurant(big) for event and what not. Parking can be a problem I can see when it’s busy, but there’s always the street.

Food was very tasty and well prepared. Service was fast and friendly. The new owner David was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for vegan craving authentic Vietnamese food. I ordered the banh xeo, bun and crispy egg rolls. The banh xeo was the best I’ve had in a long time. The bun was very tasty. Their citrus meat had a good taste and texture.

Despite being a meat eater, a majority of my friends are vegetarians so I find myself trying veggie restaurants pretty often. Bo De is definitely a winner in the meat eater’s handbook! I ordered the small Bun Hue(naturally since my favorite Vietnamese dish is Bun Bo Hue), and was pleasantly surprised! It was so flavorful and they were very generous with their vegetables and tofu. The broth was so delicious I was so filled by the end of the meal. If you ever told me that there was no meat in this dish I would have thought you were lying. My friends ordered Bun Rieu and the«Beef» Noodle Soup and they both loved it as well. My friend who ordered the«Beef» Noodle Soup received such a large serving that she had leftovers to make a second meal for herself! One thing about its location is that it’s a little difficult to find if you’re not familiar with the area. It’s located in the back of the Phuoc Loc Tho mall and parking can get pretty crazy. We came on a noon on Wednesday so it wasn’t too bad.

Woohoo! I finally settled on the best vegetarian restaurant in Little Saigon! After trying all of the vegetarian restaurants in Westminster and Huntington Beach, I realized the best one was the this restaurant, the 1st one I had tried years ago. Most of the vegetarian restaurants in the area are really overrated and all the beautiful decorations and all the razzmatazz cannot make up for the average quality and overpriced food. After binging in South Beach on cholesterol laden seafood and lobster, I have decided to eat healthy food as often as possible till my next vacation! I never figured out why the vegetables were so cheap yet every single vegetarian restaurant charged exorbitant prices, so much more than regular restaurants, Bo De was of course the exception. This«Bo De» restaurant was located conveniently next to the fun Asian garden mall, it had a nice statue in front of the restaurant. This restaurant was the oldest vegetarian restaurant, the previous owner sold to this new owner, David, a warm and friendly gentleman, then he went on to open the Bo De Tinh on Beach boulevard. I loved the warm and fuzzy feeling coming from all the familiar decorations and murals depicting the Xa Loi pagoda, many buddhas paintings and finally the amazing cyclo. We were immediately greeted by the owner and seated. We made it to the happy hour and ordered the spring rolls and the bo bia, another delicious roll, at half price. Both spring rolls were tasty and each came with its own dipping sauce. Phở Ap Chao, wok fried«beef» rice noodle, crispy style, it was delicious, it has the flaming taste of the real ap chao. It also had yummy vegetarian shrimp. The Bun Rieu was also delicious, it came with a lot of herbs and bean sprouts. The owner had lived in VietNam and Thailand so we had a nice chitchat, we were happy we had found a new friend. I highly recommend Bo De for a healthy guilt free dinner. I will definitely comeback, don’t forget to check in with Unilocal for a 10% off coupon.

Had too much fried food the past few days! Decided to make up for my sins and eat vegetarian tonight! Decided to look at Unilocal for a good inexpensive vegetarian restaurants in little Saigon! Lucky me i found Bo De restaurant on moran street next to phuoc loc tho and the place gave me a 10 percent discount for a Unilocal check in! I ordered the BUNRIEUWITHVERMICELLIANDVEGETABLECURRY! Food was good Service was good and we had a little chat with the Owner Wished i had more time to talk more with the owner! We got there just before closing He seems to be a very interesting person. Retired cop turned world traveler turned Restaurateur! I would definitely go back and recommend this restaurant to have healthy meals at a reasonable price.

Large, flavorful and delicious servings. I will definitely be coming back! It is attached to the mall so it’s not like a four walled restaurant. If you are looking for a fancy smhmancy restaurant this is probably not what you are going for but if you want a great friendly atmosphere and delicious foods this is your place

Casual little food court style spot next to Phouc Loc Tho Mall. Endless menu. Bun, Mi Nuoc, Mi Kho, Mi Xao Don, Hu Tieu, Phở, Banh Uot, Xeo and Hoi. Cha Gio, Goi Cuon, Bo Bia, Bi Cuon, Bo Kho, Com Phan, Com Tam, Lau… The list goes on… They got A LOT of Vietnamese vegetarian dishes. There’s also portions available to purchase by dollar amounts. Prices are very reasonable. If you’ve dined at other vegetarian/vegan restaurants before, you know it can get ridiculously pricey. It’s affordable here and the dishes tastes fine. Some better than others but definitely not bad. All decent. Peeps are friendly and food comes out pretty quick. Final thought… Affordable vegetarian dishes that tastes decent. Honestly, other places tastes about the same and cost much more. *Just some tips for your Vege days… Bo De Tinh Tam is much tasier but cost more. Vegan Nirvana has really good Fish Tacos and Chicken Wrap. Pricey but really good! The Habit’s Vege Burger. Add onion rings for more texture and they have plenty of extras to add to your burger like avocado, mushrooms etc…

This is TRULY a hidden gem, mostly because I got lost trying to find it, but it’s next to the Asian Garden Mall :) this has become my new favorite Vietnamese food joint, especially because I’m vegetarian and can try every item on their menu without fear! My first visit, I shared the spring rolls appetizer(bo bia) with yummy peanut sauce… THISISNOW A MUSTEVERYTIME I COMEHERE! It’s my favorite. I also had their famous crispy noodles with tofu and lots of delicious veggies, phở ap chao don. The sauce was magical!!! It made the crispy noodles soggy with deliciousness. I’ve been back three times this week alone. The manager, David is super awesome and friendly, smiles and says hi every time I come and he’s here. Coming here makes my day!

I usually go to the one on Beach Blvd due to parking situation at Phuoc Loc Tho can be a nightmare. But If lucky I could find parking in the little lot on the side especially on weekdays. Been going here for years now, tasty veggie foods, quick and friendly service which sadly to say kinda rare in Vietnamese places. SUPER cool & nice owner, always makes you feel welcomed :-) Some of my most fav dishes are: Mi Quang, Bun Hue, Bun Mang, Com Tam Bi Cha Tau Hu Ky. So many choices on the menu but I usually jus stick to those. For appetizer I love Bo Bia, their sauce is so good added with some hot sauce! Oh and don’t forget to bring some cash :-)
