Have been going here for almost 20 years. Was introduced by a VN buddy on our way to Café Lu. Since new owners bought it several years ago, I’ve noticed changes for the worse. Spring rolls used to be fab, but are now hard and bland. Found a piece of metal in mine today! See pix. Banh Mi Dat Biet is still my favorite, but bread seems bigger in diameter, upsetting balance. After finding the metal in my spring roll today, I’m going elsewhere.

Review is for drinks only** This has got to be one of the best, if not the best ca phe su da(Vietnamese ice coffee) I have ever had. And I have had a lot lol. It has a great coffee flavor that you can tell is fresh and not artificial and it is super strong, that’s the way uh huh uh huh, I like it! You can tell it’s not watered down and has this nice creamy aroma to it. Other drink that is bomb here is the rau ma with mung bean(pennyworth). I love rau ma so with this blend it was like wow, this is so good! They should make it at other places too! Definitely recommend this place if you like Vietnamese coffee. They have other drinks too but I have yet to try them since I always end up with coffee lol.

I will rate this place a 3… not great, yet not bad either. Yes, this place does have a lot of bad ratings but my overall experience was ok. My intentions coming here was to get eggrolls and it was pretty decent price and taste. LOCATION: Located on Brookhurst and Hazard in the Stator Bros supermarket. EGGROLLS: as of 2016 the price is $.60/eggroll PARTYTRAYS: if you ever have a potluck, family gatherings or parties you can pre-order party trays here ranging from $ 25/$ 30/$ 35 depending on the tray sizes.(call in advance to ask for more details, I don’t remember the price correctly) Food I’ve order or tried: —- 100 eggrolls for $ 60 for work potluck and it all went fast —- a tray of shrimp fried rice($ 25/small) for potluck —- papaya salad with beef jerky($ 6) FOOD/SNACKS: they have tons of «already made» food such as: different salads(duck, shrimp & jelly fish, papaya & beef jerky, etcc), baguettes, chips, dried fruits, Vietnamese ice-coffee, eggrolls, grilled meatballs, curry, beef stew. mango with chili, desserts… etcc…just to name a few. I don’t know if they taste good or not so you eat and try them yourself. Overall, this place is alright for me. Don’t expect great service here from these Asian ladies working here also. I think its also CASHONLY! :0)

ROACHES! After buying a papaya appetizer dish for my party, a cockroach came crawling from the bottom up. I had to leave the party to go back to the store to get a refund. I’m very disappointed and will not be coming back again.

I came here because I saw their repeated ads on TV and I wanted to check it out. They offer a variety of food similar to Banh Mi Cali. There were many party tray orders of fried noodles and etc. Their Bo Cuon La Lot, each roll was wrapped in one single leaf of La Lot, and there were trays of them even though they did not look yummy to me at all. Frankly, nothing looked good to me here. I decided to order something to try out, so I ordered Banh Mi Dac Biet and Banh Cuon. When I went home and tried them, all of them tasted below average. I recommend that you go to Banh Mi Cali instead of this place for the same kinds of food.

This is really bad when owner is not honest when taking order. I order vermicelli with crab but when i and my co-worker came to picked up. They gave for us different one. When we cane back office, then i called to complain. They just said«our shop donot have crab». I hate their way of business. They have to tell customers honestly. I am so angry…

I really love their green Mung bean smoothie. It tastes way better than other places. Their food to go stuff sometimes isn’t the freshest. wished the place were cleaner. I agree that the place isn’t quality but the food is good enough to have me keep coming back

The food here is expensive, but mom wanted to egg food here so yea. The Bo la lot, beef grilled with some kind of leaf, was $ 5.50 for a skewer of 6 pcs beef. I got the banh it tran pack of 6, for $ 3. The banh it tran was ok, too much pepper and a little bland, needs more salt, it’s Aldo kind of small so I definitely won’t be buying it again. They have a lotta party trays for catering, like banh it tran tray of 33pieces for $ 20, chow mein, egg rolls, banh beo.

If you are in Westminster area, you have to stop by this place. The«bo la lot» is amazing. The«banh cay» is to-die-for. Didn’t try the Vietnamese coffee mainly because I drink coffee with no sugar. Condense milk in Vietnamese coffee is too sweet. Service is good. I stop by on Monday so there is no line or crowd. :-)

Yo the Vietnamese iced coffee here is flame!!! I’d say maybe even better than Lee’s Sandwich. I mean the flavor and the intensity of it is crazy. My dad and I heard about Dakao’s coffee and we gave it a try and I’m never getting Lee’s coffee again if I’m in the area. Super delicious would recommend.

I’ve come here to pick up food to go many times over the years since it’s basically across from my house. I usually get the food packed in foam dishes and meatballs on a stick. I’ve gotten banh bot loc, banh cuon, and springs rolls from this place. They also sell food by large quantities if you want to buy a big enough sized tray to cater a party or something. I would say their food is just okay. There’s nothing special about this place. I do see a lot of people buy Vietnamese coffee here, but I haven’t tried it myself. There’s plenty of parking in the plaza and this place is cash only!

I stopped by with a coworker for quick breakfast and if you’ve read my reviews of other places in this plaza you know I loathe parking here. Aside from that though it is your basic Vietnamese food to go so make sure you know what you want because they’re not going to slow down too much for you if you’re indecisive. I got a banh mi dac biet and it was pretty good I really only care that the bread isn’t pulling a captain crunch on the roof of my mouth and it didn’t. I was actually slow to grab my sandwich and some lady jacked it and I had to wait longer for another one so make sure you pay attention!

*** Actions speak louder than…*** Maybe someone is listening after all? I haven’t been by this place for a while, but there was something different happening here today… I SAWLINES!!! That’s some crazy *ss sh*t! OMG, Every single person was standing in a single file line maintaining order. The line moved relatively quickly. There were 1 or 2 people who thought they could yell a little louder or waive their hands a little higher to get the cashier’s attention, but she stood her ground. She told the impatient customer to wait at the other end of the counter and someone will be right with her. Bravo! You go girl! You made 10 people happier customers by maintaining order and not holding up the line for the one loud and obnoxious person. I purchased my food and quickly went on my way. There was no frustration which kept my blood pressure in check :-) Dakao, you’ve been working at the one thing that has been a detriment to you, maintaining order. Your efforts show and your rating has increased as it should. I hope you keep up the good work!

My go to food to go place! Call and order ahead of time for special events and you can just call and order and they will have it ready for you in an hour for certain food items! I love all their food to go trays! Normal pricing, I believe lowest is at $ 17 but normally $ 25

Whenever my family has a gathering of some sort, my mom always go here to get their bo la lot(beef wrapped in a green leaf skewers). Over the past two years, the price has hiked up a few times already. Currently, as of June 2014, the price of the beef skewers are $ 5.50 each with about 6 pieces of beef on each skewer. It is perfectly seasoned and BBQed. My mom can make this at home easily but for convenience, we just order from the store. And you don’t have to preorder if it’s a small order but I remember they did suggest if you plan on ordering more than 10 – 15 skewers to order ahead of time.

I hate this place I don’t know why my family keeps ordering from here. I get disappointed and irritated every time the trays come home and I am starving only to find everything always salty. This time they ordered 3 trays, Be thui(raw beef), stir fried noodles with cheap veggies, and goi(Vietnamese salad with sea jelly). The be thui was gross. The stir fried noodles was overly greasy. The goi was basically salt. *BARF* Not to mention I felt like crap after because of all the MSG. You get a huge portion for each tray but definitely not worth it. Most of it ended up in the trash anyway. We came the day after Christmas and it was PACK. The customers inside just cut in front of you. Be prepare for chaos.

This food to go place is located within the Stater Brother’s Supermarket area, where parking is rather tight and the drivers in the area are a bit aggressive. They have a wide variety of options, from main dishes to be eaten with rice, to Vietnamese sandwiches with a variety of toppings, to various packaged meals such as vermicelli to spring rolls. Given all this though, as a food to go place, the quality isn’t all that good and tends to be rather sweet and salty at the same time. The price is pretty affordable though for what you get, so you’re essentially paying for Vietnamese fast food. There are better options in the bolsa area for fast food, but this one serves as an okay middle of the road food to go place if you need food while on the go.

My parents come here to get the trays of food for parties and they have been pretty happy with everything they have gotten. They have things like Banh Beo, Mi Xao, Com Chien, and many other Vietnamese party food. They sell candy and other snacks too. They also sell Banh Mi here! For $ 2.75, you could pick any of the sandwiches they have on wall on the right. Order at the counter, pay and then go and tell them what you ordered. It could get pretty crazy in there because everyone is trying to pay and get out as fast as possible.
