My rescue group held our first annual Halloween Fundraiser party here on a Saturday night. With a maximum occupancy of 300 people, it was perfect for us, as we’re still growing as an organization. The lodge boasts a full service bar, pool table, outdoor courtyard, and a small bathroom. Sure it’s fraying around the edges a bit, but they were nice enough to let us host the fundraiser there on a Saturday night. It’s a bit difficult to find, and a few GPS systems had trouble locating it from what I heard lol. The bartender was great though, and named a drink after me — the Hurricane Sherry, made with pineapple juice, coconut rum, and a splash of coke on the rocks. Tasty! A few of the patrons even bought some of the bake sale items, and the bartender was also nice enough to give us change for the larger bills we got at the door. If I was an Elk’s lodge member, I’d stop in occasionally for a Hurricane Sherry :)
