Sorry not impressed. Between waiting forever and a day and nasty ass greesy wontons, the portions were small and unremarkable. The only thing I can say that is positive was the waitress was nice. Other than that there is nothing here that would make me return here. We have just been spoiled too much by our favorite chinese restaurant in Columbia.

I was thoroughly impressed with Golden Palace! The staff were friendly and we were seated quickly. I ordered water with lemon and the waitress apologized, «We just run out of lemons but I will send the Manager out to pickup more.» I told her it would be perfectly fine without lemon, no need to go to any trouble. Ten minutes later she brought me a plate of sliced lemons. Wow! My guest ordered curry and said the flavor was wonderful. I had the beef satay and orange chicken, both were delicious and prepared just right. The peanut dipping sauce had great flavor. Golden Palace is worth 5 stars and I would happily eat here again.

As the saying goes: «I really wanted to like this place…» Starting w/positives: Nearly 9 pm on a Tuesday, & they were still able to deliver($ 15 min.+$ 1 delivery). The menu is extensively interesting, which delayed our order. I had many questions, which were hampered by the telephone, but the order was accurate.(BUT no chopsticks :-\) Lemongrass Beef tastes amazing, as did the Crispy Sesame Chicken. Now into negative land: I didn’t know, in this day & age, that ordering“no MSG” was still required! 2⁄3 of our party did not or could not enjoy their food. The“Chicken & Broccoli” was over-cooked, stewed-soft pieces of white meat«like soup chicken» against barely cooked, tough veg.(The white rice was good, the brown rice was not=too tough esp.vs.nice sticky white!!) Personally i should’ve suspected the Sesame Chix deliciousness was too good to be tru, but, hey, I hunger! So after a few glorious minutes of tastiness, my face began to flush:“hey, mom, what’s wrong w/with your face” was what I heard as i felt first tinglings of the dreaded«Chinese Food Flush»!! Then my head started to pound, as I desperately began chugging water in a vain attempt to minimize the impending Migraine(along w/benadryl+ cool shower)!! So, sadly that is my short-lived joy from Golden Palace– followed by a dreadful night of blinding headache & annoying, flushed skin! Fortunately my lips & throat didn’t swell… =-O Must’ve caught it in time. Also, both the duck sauce AND the Fortune Cookie have(WHY?!?) Red Dye #40 :-( So, if you are MSG tolerant, go nuts! Otherwise, $ 12.50 gets you MUCH mo generous portions elsewhere! :-$

I never expected to find such an amazing Asian restaurant in a strip mall in Westminster, MD! What a pleasant surprise! The food was fresh and delicious. The menu had several Thai, Vietnamese, and Malaysian selections, in addition to the standard Chinese options. We tried the roti, the spring rolls, the lemongrass beef, and the ginger scallion chicken – all were phenomenal and our server was fast, efficient, and friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

I was excited to hear that the menu had changed. So I decided to place an order and expand my palet. I had the General Tso’s chicken and Summer Rolls. The portion of the General Tso’s was smaller than I would have preferred. However, the flavor was incredible. The summer rolls were so fresh. I highly recommend this place and look forward to eating here in the future.

Food is incredible. The spring rolls and lemongrass beef were terrific. I’m rating only 3 stars because of the bathroom, which was very unpleasant and just makes me wonder if the front of the house can look this way, what about the back of the house/kitchen? Waitress was wonderful. Food, service are A+ but décor and cleanliness poor.

I happened to find out that their menu had changed at some point so my husband and I went to try it out and were excited to see some things that aren’t normally on Asian restaurant menus in our town. The restaurant has been in that location for almost 40 years. The service was friendly and fast and all of our food choices were delicious. I had been tired of the same dishes and restaurants in the area so this was a welcome change. We will be back soon!

Just finished an excellent fusion meal. The szechuan pork dumplings, beef satay, and roti boom where the BOMB! I was so delighted to be re-introduced to this old Westminster«chinese» restaurant that has reinvented itself with maylasian/thai and did I mention the«sugar donuts» the hostess sent us home with gratis?! Dont worry about the location. Safe place and its been there 15 years plus… i can’t wait for next weeks meal at my new fav restaurant!

So glad I stumbled upon this place(long day at work with no drive to cook dinner.) Seriously the best costumer service I’ve ever had! It is located in a slightly difficult place to find, but the excellent food more than makes up for it.

2014 — this is the best place that I can get Egg Drop Soup and it taste like Egg Drop Soup. The absolute best Chicken Chow since the one in Glen Burnie burned down. I have found my new home. Lily and her husband are just wonderful people and know how to please you. So come on down or up and see for yourself, I know what I am talking about. Ed & Tammy

Great customer service and food was very good! I got the lemongrass beef and it was cooked well and my husband enjoyed his garlic chicken and doesn’t even normally like Chinese food.

I have to say, when I see 5 star reviews only on a restaurant, I get a little suspicious that it’s only friends and family that are posting such great reviews. I’m happy to say, that wasn’t the case at all. I’ll keep this short and sweet as I can say everything in a few words. The food is some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The service? Attentive, without being overbearing. They made it a point to make it spicy, the way we like it and brought out additional sauce without being asked in case it wasn’t spicy enough. We’re staying across the parking lot at the Boston Inn for four days and we will be back. Probably numerous times. BTW…as noted on other reviews, it is a bit difficult to find, but don’t give up looking out of frustration. This place is worth the extra few minutes it took to find it1

This is by far my favorite local restaurant. My wife and I have gotten to know the wonderful family that owns Golden Palace over the years we’ve eaten here. We find the menu diverse in Asian cuisine, but our favorites are the Malay dishes as the family is from Malaysia. Sure, the typical«Chinese» dishes are available, but the Malay options are so much better. BYOB with a beer/wine/liquor store in the same shopping center.

Great Asian-fusion restaurant located in a hard-to-find back end of a shopping center. Food was well-prepared, authentic and served piping hot. Service was impeccable and the cost was modest. A family-owned business and they are determined to offer the finest quality and service possible… and they succeed in doing so. This really is a ‘hidden gem’.

Although in an awkward location in the rear side of a shopping plaza, we are glad we found it! This ‘Asian Fusion’ restaurant had some of the best Malaysian/Thai food we’ve had in years(I should mention I’m from Thailand!) The dishes were authentic but slightly Americanized so anyone could eat it. Spicy was tasty spicy, not stomach upsetting spicy. The curry dishes were by far the best, followed by very tasty Pad Thai. We will surely be regulars at this fabulous family owned Asian restaurant. Wait staff is a 10, cooking is a 10! They customize exactly to your preferences &EVERYTHINGISFRESH! Simply excellent! Please try this hidden treasure! You are sure to be delighted with your dining experience!

Food was very good, had some Vietnamese and Malaysian dishes. The shrimp was a bit tough, but it happens. Service was absolutely outstanding. Everyone here cares about their product and the patrons’ experience. Nice little hidden gem in Westminster.

The owners of this restaurant obviously take pride in providing exceptional customer service and delight in making your dining experience a positive on. They have opened their doors when I arrived after the restaurant was closed. I have had great conversations with them. I have not dined on but do carry out most often. On one occasion I did get delivery and my food arrived well prepared and hot. My meal is always the Chili Chicken and summer rolls. Fresh ingredients and delish.

The new Malaysian menu is excellent due to the New York City trained chef who is the husband of the owner. If you take to the new menu the chef will expose you to his specials which are excellent. The staff is all family and very friendly. Ask for the special Chinese donuts!
