Once up on a time (like 3 months ago) I started hearing an annoying ringing in my ears (tinnitus). I was trying to study and this obnoxious noise made it impossible!
After about 3 futile visits to Kaiser, I was referred to an audiometry (to meassure if this Chinese old lady was lossing her hearing)
I was shocked, scared yet curious about the results and the procedure in general.
Getting the appointment before my trip to Colombia was kinda tricky, but they went out of their way to make it happen.
Their access is easy since they are located in Beach Blvd, parking was ok as well.
When I arrived, was anxious but seems like the recepcionist noticed that and made small talk to me, gave me cookies and coffee (sugar helps in cases like this)
After that the test, it wasn’t as terrible as I thought, also the audiologist took the time to explain every step of the process.
At the end this COL (Chinese Old Lady) has almost bionic ears and the ringing was caused for something else resistant to antihistamins and antibiotics, but this is another story.
Kudos to the HearUSA crew for such a great service.
I can’t say that I wanna go back, but who knows what happens down the road…
