Tom came to our home to give us a demonstration of the Kirby vacuum cleaner. He did a very good job explaining it and asking for our business. Although we couldn’t afford to purchase it at this time he remained pleasant and courteous as he packed up and left. We were satisfied enough with both Tom and the Kirby machine that when we need to replace our old vacuum cleaner we will certainly try to buy from him.

Simply the Best must have plenty of business, because they sure didn’t value mine. I first brought my vacuum in on 3÷30÷15, the day prior to moving as I knew I would need a working vacuum in my new home. My vacuum needed a tune-up and new brush roll. When I was notified that it was going to cost $ 200 to repair and that I shouldn’t be shocked by the fee because I own the«BMW» of vacuums, I relayed that I would not be able to afford that amount until May due to my moving related expenses. In May, I received another message asking if I would like to continue with the repair, or retrieve my vacuum. I returned the call with a message, asking for the repair and to be notified when it was complete. The next message I received was 6/8, stating that I needed to pick up my vacuum or I would be charged a $ 100 monthly storage fee. Legitimately, my vacuum had been there 2 months(not the 4 the lady asserted), but I also had been in communication. They had obviously received my message to repair the vacuum, but not the message to notify me when it was finished. When I called back that same day, I attempted to use humor to diffuse what felt like an aggressive phone message, but the woman cut me off and continued to scold me. At this point I asked to speak to the owner to lodge a complaint. My complaint was kindly dismissed and I agreed to pick up the vacuum on Saturday by 1pm, when they close.(I am a teacher, making it difficult to arrive before their weekday closing hours.) I was en route to the store, hoping to barely make it by 1pm, when I received a call asking if I was still coming to pick up. When I said hoped to be there just at 1, I was then advised that I would receive a 5% discount if I paid in cash. This was the first I had been told of such a discount, but had no opportunity to stop for cash as the store was closing. I asked for Tom, the owner, to call me, to express may discontent about my entire experience. He was impatient and rude, not understanding why I felt frustrated not knowing I could have benefited from a cash discount had I been notified in advance of my imminent arrival. Exasperated, I got off the phone, picked up my vacuum and vowed never to return! I often ask to speak with supervisors to commend someone on their service. This is the very first negative review I have written, but I certainly don’t feel I can walk away from my interaction without expressing my sincere discontent. As I said, business must be booming to care so little about my experience!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would! We bought a two thousand dollar vacuum for these swindlers! They took our older model(50s) which was a family owned antique. They claimed they would polish and return. They returned it alright! Stripped of its original bag(this was my mother in laws) and the new brush in it was replaced with a worn down shabby mess! It doesn’t end there! I tried calling and have been completely ignored for weeks. I called again this morning. And got a «Susan» who said someone would call me back. As she was about too hang up, I asked if she even knew who I was. She said, «I was going to ask» ! What an idiot! Then I called Kirby corporate. Bigger idiots! Monica at Kriby Corporate said they would return my call, then total radio silence! So here we are 20 days later, no resolution nothing! I am currently speaking with the finance company. This is about to get really ugly. A lawyer will be involved by close of business today. DONOTBUYFROMTHESEPEOPLE, there is a Kirby in riverside, they will come to OC!

I financed a Kirby through SImply the Best. I thought better of the purchase and had them pick up the vacuum. The salesperson was really great – I’d give him 5 stars. However, a few weeks later, I got a message stating that my first payment was due. Simply the Best had neglected to cancel the financing! Had I not been on my game, I would have had«late payments» on my credit report. So I had to call the finance company to cancel. If a customer cancels, please be sure to totally close out the transaction.

Not much to review about this place. It is a small office in a small shopping center. I am reviewing it because they are helpful and good pricing. For the few people who own Kirby vacuums this day and age, it’s nice knowing where you can go to get parts and accessories, and even get repair work. They don’t have traditional business hours, but they are open on weekends which is a plus. I’m glad this place is not far from me. I have broken two belts in the past month, and they have always had stock of product.
