I will say, Legends Café has some of the best food and most creative dishes I have encountered in the Westminster area. The service is always great and the staff makes you feel right at home.

My prior review of this restaurant was removed, on the alleged basis that it wasn’t detailed enough. I can only presume that one of Legends Café’s fans — or perhaps its management — complained(despite the fact that there are many similar reviews of the place). In any case, here’s more detail — I didn’t previously think it necessary to beat up the place, since as I said the first time it wasn’t intensely bad, but now it looks I must give it the full treatment. The place was close to empty, which should have been a warning sign. But despite the lack of customers, the service was slow and inattentive — a long wait for our orders to be taken, and little attention during the meal(drinks not refilled — a mortal sin in my book). And the food itself? Unmemorable at best, greasy and unappetizing at worse. The onion rings and mozzarella sticks were OK, but probably not made in-house — and we were disappointed that they didn’t actually have the fried pickles listed on the menu. I had the Bavarian Pretzel sandwich — the bread was OK, but the rest was a sloppy mess. I added a side salad, which seemed heavy on bitter greens — some may like them more than I, but I normally see them«cut» with a better variety of other vegetables. My dining companions were also unsatisfied. One had a quesadilla — which seemed to have been made out of steak-umms and was unseasoned, and not remotely Mexican in flavor. The pulled pork sandwich also was not impressive. So again, it may due in a pinch if your expectations are low and/or you really want/need to eat at the mall. But consider looking elsewhere.

Great service. Cooks suck We got 2 burgers both medium. One came barely medium rare the other was raw in the middle. Was a little overpriced. I don’t mind paying a little extra cash if the food is worth it but not with this quality. This is coming from someone who worked in a restaurant for 10 years.

Went on a Thursday night around 7 pm. Hardly anyone there. Good customer service. Ordered crab dip-worst I have ever had. Ordered cream of crab soup-awful. Ordered stuffed rockfish– disgusting. The crab was stale. Came with steamed veggies that had no flavor whatsoever. The crab had that awful fishy taste. Ruined the entire meal. They took the rockfish off the bill and I ordered a burger to go and gave it to my son. Won’t be going there again for food. I did order a chocolate martini and that was great. Lol

Visited at 1pm on a Sunday… Only 1 other table seated… Food took entirely too long for how slow it was. Ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken. Supposed to be a ‘favorite’ … Terrible. No flavor, and it was very soupy… Chicken was very chewy. Will not return. Save yourself the waste of time. Only chose 1 star because I was not able to chose 0.

Had dinner her last Friday with the family we have been to Legends on several occasions and it has never disappointed us. The service was very attentive accommodated our gluten free request for my daughter. I ordered the Cleopatra Chicken mid eastern spices with roasted veggies and hummus olives and feta cheese. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor the roasted veggies hit the spot crispy crust nice spice on them. My daughter had the Godfather loaded seafood dish with a lite tomato sauce there was nothing left on the plate. Like I said we have never had a bad meal. I will always come back nice local spot they also have a good selection of draft beer. Enjoy!

Was here for lunch. Ordered burger with fries and thought it was a safe choice. But the bun was stale and fries were burnt. Just bad food.

We like it a lot here. The food is decent and the service is normally good. I wouldn’t say it’s our favorite place in town but it’s definitely part of our rotation.

We arrived for an early dinner. The place was pretty empty. We ordered the crab pizza and a calzone filled with crab and cheese. Both were flavorless. The waiter was great but he had about 10 tables by himself. Save yourself and go somewhere else.

We visited Legend’s Café Aug 15 around 12:30pm for lunch. Only one other couple were dining at the time(bad sign I guess). Walked in and host was on his cell phone. Waitress was friendly but not knowledgeable. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer, they were okay… not great. Ordered our lunch specials. My cousin was pleased with her steak sandwich and fries. I ordered the crab quesadilla that came with a salad. The lettuce was very wet with red onions and cucumbers. The salad was bland, no cheese or croutons. The crab quesadilla was advertised as having red onions… I love red onions, but when served, no RED onion! they had made it with sweet onion I’m guessing. The waitress offered me sour cream and I asked for jalapeño slices. She said sure! She returned moments later and said they were out because they were waiting on the delivery truck. She did a good job otherwise. I periodically looked towards where the host was sitting, guess what, on the cell phone the entire time! I work in customer service at my job and that is the one thing you don’t want to do is be on your cell phone in front of customers! I asked to speak to the owner or manager. The host said sure I’ll grab the manager. Out walks a very young looking lady. She introduced her self as the owners daughter. Honestly she didn’t seem to give a crap about what I thought. I won’t be returning to this restaurant. This is the 2nd bad experience at Legend’s. I always give a place at least two tries… in my world… 2 strikes and your out!

I really like the new place it’s much cozier than before. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. They also make old school vanilla cokes which adds to the old timey charm. The only real issues I have with the place are: limited choices for vegetarians/people with seafood allergies, and the past few times I’ve been there the portion sizes always change. Sometimes I’m leaving with a doggie bag other times I’ve left still wanting more.

Expensive for what you get. the food is not great. the hours are odd. this place used to be a cool sports bar, we were hoping it would be a cool new restaurant. nope we were wrong. service was poor and slow, specifically asked for no Italian seasoning, it was sprinkled all over my pasta anyway, had to send it back as I am allergic, WHICH I TOLDTHEMTOBEGINWITH! pasta was undercooked and my husbands sandwich was inedible, you would think with all the options on the menu SOMETHING would be good. we will NOT be going back anytime soon. over priced, poor service, blah food.

My family of six – husband, wife, and four children – went there on a Saturday night after shopping at the mall. The food was just ok, the service not remarkable, but what infuriated us was that they added an 18 percent service charge on our bill because we were a party of six, but they never said they were doing it, and they did it in small print and not on the credit card slip. My husband added a 20 percent tip not knowing they had already added it. We are a single family with young children, and we had never experienced this automatic gratuity due to our size. Most restaurants will invoke the service charge when there are multiple adult couples in the party, not when it is a single family with several children. Moreover, when we have been in large parties at other restaurants, we were always informed by the server if a gratuity was automatically added. At Legends, we felt that the waitress purposely did not tell us and was relying on our being distracted by our kids to get a double tip. We paid an enormous amount of money for mediocre food and deceptive billing. We will not return.

Looking for something a step up from fast food… we stumbled on Legends. We had a great turkey, swiss and bacon sandwich on a pretzel roll, called a Brother Marx. Excellent sandwich with rel roast turkey, not the lunch meat kind or even the thin sliced turkey, but thick pieces like your dad pulls off the bird after Tday dinner.

We were shopping at Boscovs in the mall and were looking for a place to eat lunch. My son lives in Westminster and had mentioned that he and his wife had a very good meal at Legends. We decided to give it a try. What a mistake. My wife ordered the grilled shrimp Mediterranean sandwich and I ordered the barbecue brisket. Both were inedible. Maybe we caught it on an off day(Friday about 1:30 pm), but we will not be returning anytime soon. On a positive note, the service was friendly and prompt. However, the food was terrible.

I spent forever looking over this menu! Not very much for the vegetarian. I settled on the Jalapeño bottlecaps and a ceasar salad… those bottlecaps were amazing! I also ordered a cherry coke… I’ve never had a cherry coke like that, it tasted of times long gone and I find myself thinking about it every once in a while! :) The carnivore loved this menu, and had himself a meat feast and enjoyed a beer sampler. They brought out mini glasses of microbrew and I swear I heard him giggle. But don’t tell him I said he giggled. We’ll say he grunted and made man noises. I can’t see taking the whole family, we would need to take out a small loan, but for a date night with the husband, it’s perfect.

Legends has been around for while but has recently moved into the Westminster Mall. They’ve occupied the space vacated by Timeout Sports Bar and have done a good job redesigning and filling it. They still keep the golden age of Hollywood theme with old movies playing and posters and signs of classic all around. The new space has allowed it to feel more open though as the old location sometimes felt cluttered. The food and service is still pretty much that same as the old location. They have an extensive menu of appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. Looking at the menu it may seem like the prices are a bit on the high end but portion sizes are huge. When you sit down for a meal at Legends, you will be greeted with a friendly smile and a tray of popcorn. Since there are a lot of options, I have only tried a few things but I have yet to not like anything I’ve tried there. The Baltimore Club is a decadent sandwich with shrimp salad and crab. My wife and I get the goat cheese dip appetizer often which comes with a generous serving of house-made chips and bread. In fact, many times we have some left over to take home. The major addition to Legends’ new location is the expansion of the bar. In the old location, the bar was very small and not really a focus. In this location, the bar area takes up probably about a third of the space. They have provided about 6 – 7 nice size tables and a little couch area in addition to approximately 20 seats at the bar. Their draft beer selection is probably one of the best in Westminster featuring the usual suspects plus microbrews like Goose Island and Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA(only place I’ve seen with 90 minute in Carroll County). It’s nice to see something besides the chains have a decent bar. Not sure if it’s quite Legends style but I’d like to see some events — karaōke, trivia, music, etc. — to attract people to hang around in the bar area. Right now, it really just acts like an extension of the dining room. I think it would suit them well to differentiate it somehow and give customers a reason to go there. Give Legends a visit for a hearty tasty meal and a delicious beverage in their new location and you’ll be a fan.
