Mike’s Auto Spa

This used to be an excellent place. I remember when their extreme clean package was only about $ 25. It is now $ 45 and the service seems to degrading. Every time I get my interiors done, I always find something to gripe about. This time I was absolutely irritated. The extreme clean package supposedly includes bug removal, air vents cleaned, water blown out of mirrors and windows, floor mats cleaned, interior vinyl conditioned, exterior vinyl conditioned, front seats conditioned, tires dressed and wheels are hand cleaned. Well, the tires were so obviously improperly dressed. Some spots were sparkling and the other spots were plain dry black rubber. The crevices were not vacuumed well. It only took me one look. The interior vinyl did not looked conditioned. I had it redone and there’s an obvious difference. There’s a spot by my transmission that need just a simple wipe and it was still there. Forget about the water getting blown out of your mirrors and window seal. I don’t think they even bother. I’m so mad cuz it took so long to get this car cleaning done. This guy, Juan, offered to redo everything. Nobody even offered to help him while everyone was available since there’s no other car to clean. I liked this place a lot then but it is annoyingly bad now since you can tell the service back then to now. It’s just not as clean. Oh well! I guess it’s their fault that they cleaned it so well then that you notice missed spots now…

I am always impressed when I come here. They take their time and my cat always looks great at the end. I usually get the première wash which takes care of the basics without all the unnecessary fancy add ons.

I went to Mike’s today and purchased the Extreme Clean wash costing $ 45! I was taken aback at how expensive this wash has gotten, but after taking a couple trips up skiing, my car was decidedly not silver anymore and I figured it’d it be worth it. After running through the wash, I could see that there was still dirty visible, but figured that the staff would take care of it when going over everything. After they cleaned and vacuumed the inside, they pulled the car around the side to do the Armor all and left it sit for at least 10 minutes without anyone working on it. I was a little nervous as I had to take my cousin to the airport and time was ticking, but when I was about to ask someone what was going on, I noticed that someone had started working on it. After another 15 minutes or so (around 45 minutes total to this point), they pull the car around. I went out to take a look and there was dirt visible just about everywhere. I pointed a few things out, but didn’t have time to get into every detail as we had to get him to the airport. We got in and headed out, but we immediately noticed a glaring light spot on my window, they had gouged out the window tint on my front passenger window! After looking further they also scratched the tint on the same window. I wanted to go back right then, but there was a chance he was going to miss his flight if we didn’t keep going. After dropping my cousin off at the airport, I drove right back to Mike’s and asked to talk to a manager. Karen Garcia was the person who came out and she started immediately making excuses about how they couldn’t have done that and it had to have been gouged before. Haha she even went so far as to say that when the car was dirty that some dirt could have been right on that hole in the tint and I didn’t see it (yeah, nice one). She then took her keys and scratched up the driver’s side tint to show me how tough it was! She actually purposefully scratched up the tint on the driver’s side door. Most of those scratches buffed out, but to purposefully damage my car was over the top. I am so disgusted with the attitude Karen and the Mike’s staff have shown towards my car that not only will I no longer patron this establishment, but I’m filling out small claims court papers as I write this. This is a really despicable way to run your business.

After an ice cream mishap in my brand new car I needed someone to detail it to the point of removing the melted ice cream from the seat glide mechanism. The dealership wouldn’t help me so I tried Mike ’ s on the advice of a coworker. I called first and they said to bring it right in. They immediately assessed the situation and how they could fix it. The manager, Karen even gave me a ride back to work AND picked me up when it was done. Great price, excellent customer service. I will definitely be going back! You won’t be sorry you tried them either!

Just returned home from Mike’s Auto Spa and felt the need to share my experience.
Prior to going I did read the reviews here — some good, some bad; thus, I decided to give them a chance since the are conveniently located for me.
When I asked the cashier to change five dollar bill into ones, he shorted me $ 1 — he said he didn’t have any more ones :) I said that was fine. I inquired about the negative reviews on Unilocal and google, but the cashier said those situations usually happen when they are too busy and simply can’t do quality work due to high volume of customers. I in my mind cheered that I came at a great time — they weren’t busy at all — just a few cars and absolutely no rush… I figured I would walk out happy.
I bought a regular basic $ 15 service, which included wash, towel dry, vacuum, interior wiping.
The outside wash/​towel dry was not bad with the exception of the front and back bumpers. Apparently the bumpers on my Mini Cooper sit too low and require too much bending, which is why they were left undone… Well, I did it myself at home after I paid $ 15, got shorted a $ 1, and gave $ 2 tip to the towel guy, and $ 2 to the guy who cleaned the interior. Verdict: $ 20 out the door :)
The inside was much worse. Dust remained in door pockets, on the stereo, on the dashboard, cup holders, as well as the manual break section… They figured if the car wasn’t filthy to start with, it wasn’t worth their time to clean it… Well, it took me another 10 minutes but I finished all the work myself once I got home.
The final (most disturbing to me aspect): the front mats (in my case, made of rubber) were not shaken or washed or vacuumed. One rear mat was tossed on the back seat, over which the seat was left folded. That was the way I was handed over my car in exchange for the $ 2 tip. My question about the «spare parts» (rear mat) being out of place, and folded seat, and untouched dirty front mats was answered as, «Oh… OK…» Then the guy power-​washed the mats and stuck them COMPLETELY wet right into my car :) My car looks like new, even though it is 2010, and that almost broke my heart… Needless to say, under the mats nothing was vacuumed… Yeah, you got it — I took care of it once I got home — vacuuming and drying the mats.
Anyway, if your car is trashed on the inside and has dirt all over, they MAY make it look better by simple contrast of before and after; however, if your car has been kept clean and neat, and you want it to be dusted off and get some shine, I would not go there again. It was not worth my time and my money.
By the way, they are offering 20% off their service if you leave them a good review here. I personally saw the sign. I found that funny and obnoxious at the same time — they are trying to buy their way into better rating on Unilocal by giving customers the discount?! No place with good reputation would ever do something like that… If you do quality work, you won’t have any trouble collecting positive reviews from people!!!

First of all your guys always do a good job. I wash my car once of week and you always do a good job. The only thing the me and my family and friends don’t like is the manager she’s always so rude and disrespectful maybe because she’s young and she doesn’t have experience. Every time I asked her for info about getting my car detail she’s just so rude. You need to change your management or you going to lose a lot of business. Were going to stop wasting are money on your carwash and find a better one with better management.

I love Mike’s Auto Spa! I have two young kids which anyone knows can turn your car into a pig sty. The cashiers always so nice to my kids and I, and my car always looks fantastic after they are done. Thank you for your excellent service!

I went to Mike’s last week for the first time. I paid $ 12 for a wash and $ 3 for a tip to dry. The car still had bugs on the front bumper/​grill and brake dust on the rims. Their wash is useless and so is their hand dry. They should have caught these issues during their dry. The person drying could not understand English so there was no communication, even though I tried. I gave up.
For $ 15 I would expect more. This is what the Octopus Car Wash in Lakewood does for $ 14. They perform a clean INSIDE as well… which is KEY. Who wants to clean windows? That’s the hardest part. Mike… surely you can offer more and do WAY better?!

Every business makes mistakes. It takes an exemplary one to fix them. I just went through the car wash at this location and one of my mirrors broke off. I expected to endure hassles, but the moment I noticed it, an employee (thank you Francisco!) helped me resolve the issue and indicated the company would take care of the damages. I will complete this review when manager Karen (not here at time of incident) gets back to me with a solution.

Just had my carpets and floor mats shampooed. They look better than I thought they could after two years of heavy use, and very little attention. Nicely done, Mike’s!

So sad. I used to come here frequently over the years. Service has greatly diminished! They are severely understaffed as the person running the cash register also detailed the inside of my car. Which meant no one was inside so other customers could pay. The beverage cooler is practically empty. No cups for their coffee station. The guy who submitted my wash order got it wrong. I had to have the cashier correct it and then she had to go inform the detail crew of the changes. Her attitude was less than cheerful about it. I got wax and asked the guy to ensure he gets the roof. He didn’t do it. So I asked again and cashier girl ended up waxing the roof. Smh!!! I spent all my time watching to make sure they got it right. No more are the days where you know it will be done properly. Now you better watch like a hawk to make sure you get what you’ve paid for! Saddest part of all, I got here at 8a when they opened. I was one of the first customers of the day. If they are this bad at 8a then I shudder to think of the poor service they will provide late in the day.

*sigh* Dang it, I know better but I decided to come anyway — just no time to wash the car. First, they were supposed to open at 9. I waited in line… and waited… until they got done moseying around and finally opened at 9:10. Got the external wash package that included an external wash and tire detail. Got a smirk for my (I’m assuming) measly 20% tip but the real surprise was when I stopped for gas right after the wash. The tires were a mess — dirt still on them, indicating a quick wipe down. They’ve done this before and I swore I wouldn’t be back. Bottom line: if it’s convenient and you don’t mind not getting what you paid for, go ahead and go here. *sigh*

I’m sure you’re familiar with the old saying fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you! well this is got to be the worst car wash in the entire state. I’ve tried it a few times and it just seems that each time I go the quality of service just gets worse. The even run a scam where they note your plate number and after so many washes you can get a free one. Yeah but they never input your plate number correctly (3 times 3 different plate numbers) so you can redeem it! Just an overall horrible car wash!

I bought an Amazon local deal for 10 car washes for $ 40 because this car wash facility is much closer to my home. This is actually a pretty good deal. However, the car wash offered is a pretty basic car wash and super dirty cars (think post-​rain or snow) won’t come out super clean. They also hand dry your car quickly. This did not include interior cleaning but I was told that we could use a punch and pay the difference for other upgrades.
Without the Amazon deal, I’m not sure I would come back. It’s a lot pricier than other car wash locations and it doesn’t have nearly the great and friendly customer service (ex: the Wave on 92^nd and Wadsworth). I have 8 more punches to use and I’ll be sure to share if ever gets better than just «A-​OK.»

This place was a happening place on Wednesday! I went to this car wash because they vacuumed instead of having self serve vacuums. They also have a $ 2 coupon online which is nice! Overall it was a good experience, but if it’s busy, expect to be there for awhile.

I live in area and was recommended by a friend. It was kind of a long wait but I don’t mind waiting if someone is doing their job well plus the waiting area has coffee, tv and comfy couches. Unfortunately I feel I paid $ 40.00 for a place to hang out and NOT A CLEAN TRUCK!

I took my car to Mike’s for a complete detail yesterday. «The works» I frequent this car wash on a regular basis for the basic wash and have always been happy but have never used their detail services. I have to tell you the package is worth every penny. When I picked up my car I was blown away by the attention to every little «detail».
They did a hand wax on the exterior. It was beautiful… and my tires were shining as well. The interior was «polished» and just immaculate. The carpets and mats were shampooed. Just a fantastic job overall. My car looks like brand new. I might note that I am a very particular person and I was honestly overwhelmed at the fantastic job they did. Thanks Mike and team for continuing to please your customers.

I would like to say that I’m big on car washes and have been to many places. The price of the service is not worth the finished result. Not impressed.
It’s a Tuesday, middle of the afternoon and so far I’ve been sitting in lines because they have only one person at each station. The vacuum line is ridiculous, takes forever. The person who dries your vehicle is a joke as it’s one person. By the time he gets to the other half of the car you have dry spots all over.
There is no specific line for a person that paid for a basic car wash vs a premium car wash, so now I’m stuck in line on a car they have been working for over 15 minutes! I feel bad for the person I was originally behind as she chose another line and is till a car behind me.
Communication would also be helpful here. If you can’t verbally communicate make some signs that clearly explain next steps.
Now I will say, once my car FINALLY was to the vacuum and interior station, they were detailed and thorough. So if you have a lot of time to kill, then this place isn’t that bad, but who wants to spend all day at a car wash?

I took my car to Mike’s Auto Spa for an interior detail. When it was done and pulled it out, I noticed that they couldn’t get the windshield wipers to turn off, and like 6 guys were standing around messing with stuff. I went over there, and all the electrical components on the dash board were out, including the odometer, stereo, gas gauge, all displays. The AC is not working and the windows won’t roll down, the turn signals are not working, and interior lights won’t turn on. All they offered was for me to fill out an incident report. The «manager» (aka 21 year old girl), supposedly called their mechanic, who has the superpower that enables him to diagnose car trouble over the phone. She had the gall to tell me that there was an electrical problem (no kidding), but that it was just a coincidence that it happened that day, and was in no way their fault or related to anything they did. Then she told me that I had to leave or they would have it towed. I screamed and yelled, and sought support from other customers, and all they said was that I had to leave or they were calling a tow truck. I had no choice but to drive away in an unsafe vehicle, with no air and windows that wouldn’t roll down on a 90 degree day, with no turn signals, and again, no way to do hand signals.
Bottom line — businesses have a choice to do good business and make things right when they make a mistake, or screw people. This business chooses to screw people.

Not sure why this place has some bad reviews, I was pretty impressed. The price and the services were great. I just got the outside of my car washed since my daughter was asleep in the backseat. I was surprised with how cheap it was. The workers weren’t especially friendly, but hey, it’s just a car wash.
My car came out looking great. My only complaint is that they didn’t dry it that well. Not a huge deal, though.
Also, there’s a drive-​thru caribou next to it so it’s the perfect opportunity to grab a latte and drive through the car wash. score.
