I drove to this place beautiful, clean, very country. However, the place was close for remodeling but people who were there were very friendly and nice with us the will have an open activity soon. For sure I am going

I first visited their winery about a year ago, so a few months after they opened(if I’m not mistaken). I had friends in town and we had read about their Bacon & Bubbly event(which was a lot of fun!) so we decided to head out and try this new winery. I do distinctly remember that it just seemed like a new winery, they were still learning, etc. but the wines were good and I even brought home a bottle of a red blend, the 2011 Cornerstone. I opened that bottle this weekend, which is what prompted me to write this review. It was very smooth and dry. I was impressed and would love to find another bottle! Old Westminster, do you still sell this?

I loved Old Westminster and had a great time at this newer winery! Tasting is different then it is at most wineries in that you are brought the wines to taste, almost like a restaurant/waiter type of set up. This really made for a personable experience and we enjoyed it. The wines are great, the selection is growing as the vines develop but I have been impressed with everything we have tried. So much so that I have brought friends back with me and even joined the wine club! I am very excited to see how the grow over the next couple years.

I loved Old Westminster Winery. Went with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon. They had great live music and it was a really nice atmosphere. It was really crowded but our service was still good. We had the tasting and they were actually pretty generous with pourings. The Cab Sav was excellent and I ended up buying a bottle. Once they closed they said we could still stay and enjoy the afternoon because it was so nice outside. The only thing I would change is more munchies. All they had was a fresh baked bread w cheese and I am gluten intolerant so that was not good for me. Maybe a better selection of cheese with grapes or something. We will certainly be back when they re-open in the spring!

My wife and I were very impressed by this new winery. Although their selection consists of only five wines, they were all worthy of a place in our collection. There current offerings are: Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc Albarinio Channery Hill(50% Merlot, 30% Cab Franc &20% Cab Sauv) Cabernet Franc. Of the whites, we were in agreement that the Sauv Blanc was our favorite. My wife thought the Cab Franc was the best red while I was hard pressed to decide. I am a big fan of red blends, but I also love a good Cab Franc. Since this winery is close to home, I had a glass of the Channery Hill. She had the Sauv Blanc. And, we took home two bottles of Sauv Blanc and two Cab Franc. We will be back for the others. We just have to make room in our racks. We’ve been to a lot of great wineries(and some not so great). We were very impressed with the wine at OWW, and they will become one of our(very few) regular stops.

This wineries wine taste pretty good, but the pours that they give wete miniscule. You cannot really judge the flavor with only one sip. They are overpriced, in my opinion. They do not have a tasting room, and they need to improve their cheese selection. The cheese and bread we ordered were basically whipped cheese spread with flavoring and a loaf of bread. It again was overpriced. They need to start from scratch and draw in more customers by pleasing them more. Again, their wines are pretty good, but I think they have a swelled head for newcomers.

Been here multiple times now. They started doing live music and wine tasting every Saturday during the summer from 12pm — 4pm. The wines are priced around $ 30 a bottle and on Saturdays they normally have a local cheese plate available for purchase. This family run winery has made quite a splash on the MD wine scene and will definitely grow quickly in the coming years, if they continue producing high quality great tasting wines.

Thanks to another locally owned winery down the road(Serpent Ridge), we were told about Old Westminster Winery. We made the short few mile drive and were greeted with friendliness and a passion for wine. It seems that most if not all the employees are family and they all are friendly and knowledgeable. The live music was good and not too loud for the small space. At this point in time they have a chardonnay that is great(not overly oaked), a delicious rose(not sweet), and a handful of other wines that are all very good especially considering this winery is in its infancy. It’s a nice place to stop on a weekend drive. I look forward to experiencing their wines as they mature.
