This place is dirty(esp the bathroom) and I’m pretty sure they shorted my take out order. I ordered the Governor’s plate, which according to the pictures, should include a bunch of sides and pita bread. After getting back to the office and opening the box, I find 1 beef skewer, 1 chicken skewer, 1 mixed meat skewer, and a side of salad(asked to sub salad for the rice). That’s it. No pita, no sides, no sauces, nothing… Definitely not worth the 20 bucks I paid for it… I literally just finished my meal and my stomach is definitely not agreeing with Quick Kabab… well at the very least, I got my protein intake… if I can keep it down…

Nothing is fresh. Got a shawerma. They pulled out precooked chicken and sautéed it in a pan with a ton of oil and salt. No seasonings. Very bland. The store also needs some intense cleaning. Dust everywhere. Don’t come here unless you want to pay for leftovers.

Came back from a 2 month trip backing in Europe where they had KEBAB places everywhere! So on my way back from the airport, I found this place and HAD to try it out to compare. It’s similar compared to the real thing in europe but not as awesome. The people working their might be turkish so the food is probably authentic, I just didnt think it was up-to-par. The people working there are really nice. Expect to pay $ 10 – 14 per meal. Id come back for another round.

I have to give it a star? I came in today on my lunch break, some time around noon on a Friday. Only one other person was in there eating. There were two employees. One man was in the little office playing a computer game and the other was sitting and texting behind the counter. I looked at the menu and was disappointed by the combos and prices. I paid $ 11.something for the chicken kebab lunch and a soft drink. I got some bland rice, a basic salad COVERED in olive oil(so much that I couldn’t eat it), and a few pieces of grilled chicken that looked like it was seasoned but definitely didn’t taste like it was. Really, the blah rice was my favorite part. =\ The whole ambiance was weird, too. There was no music, the tv was off, and there was Christmas garland hanging on the wall. In April. April. But the worst part was how dirty it was. The containers that were holding the lids, condiments, and straws were disgusting. The straws weren’t wrapped, so you just grab one, touching several others in the process. Combine those two elements and this girl went straw-less. Sad day. One of the vents on the ceiling was really dusty. Like I don’t know how air gets through kind of dusty. And since there was no music or tv, all I could do was look around and notice all of the water stains on the ceiling and grease on the walls behind the stove tops. If I were more like my dad, I would have told the two employees that they should get off their butts and start cleaning. Alas, that is a skill I have yet to develop. I drove by after work and the one lady was sweeping outside. You can sweep, but you can’t find the time to take down Christmas decorations in four months? I’m a fan of this kind of food, but I will definitely not be returning. I know most of the reviewers like this place, but I’m grossed out by it. Bleck!

I’m really surprised by the less than stellar reviews. The food here is flavorful and fresh. We order the food here to go and don’t care for the ambiance and that is the only reason this place was deducted a star. The place feels family owned, the ingredients are fresh and most importantly, the food is amazing. The chicken is moist and flavorful. This is one of the few places where I order chicken since it’s so moist, flavorful and goes perfectly with their garlic sauce. I also like their salads, gyros and kebabs. They also give you fresh pita bread to go with the amazing garlic sauce. Quick Kebab is in heavy rotation for our top 3 go to places in our area when we are looking for non-asian food.

I used to love this place. I used to tell people this place was legit. Growing up in the middle east, that’s worth something. But I went back after their renovations and I take it all back. The guy that used to be there was replaced by a half-wit that had to look at the menu to figure out what I was ordering. Despite all that I was hoping the food would be as good as before. It wasnt. Food was terrible. Chicken was half-cooked and the sauce was lacking in garlic. The wrap was also put together terribly in that it fell apart as soon as I took it out. Don’t know if I’m ever coming back.

Hubby and I had lunch at the counter service Quick Kebab restaurant which advertises«Mediterranean and Turkish Cuisine». We arrived at the restaurant a lil before noon and the place was empty…“Oh, Oh”. We were warmly greeted and looked at the menu board behind the counter and the helpful server recommended a chicken dish which we both ordered: (1) Chicken Shish Kebab(Tavuk Sis) — $ 8.95 Our chicken kebab entrees were served with butterred-rice, green salad, pita bread, and garlic-butter spread. * Chicken Shish Kebab — My chicken was not served as your typical kebab cubes. I received chicken breast slices that could of used more seasoning. Nothing special… just ok * Buttered Rice — Light, fluffy, bits of veges and yummy. * Green Salad — Iceberg salad… forgettable. * Pita Bread — Fresh, warm, fluffy, and tasty! * Garlic-Butter Spread — Garlicky, creamy and delish! Hubby accused me of stealing some of his garlic spread when he went to re-fill his soda. (2) Hummus Dip — $ 3.95 Our dip was topped with a drizzle of olive oil and slices of onion. Nice! (3) Fountain Drinks — $ 1.95 Each We finished our lunch around 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon and the place was still empty. The food was just ok, service was good and the restaurant really is «Quick». However, they should take more time in seasoning and adding more flavor to their chicken shish kebab. 3 Stars

The owner is super nice and I really wanted to give them a 4 or a 5, but it’s a 3. There aren’t too many places like this around north county, BUT… I’ve grown up with Mediterranean food and especially the GYRO(YEARROW). Gyro was a wimpy bullet size when I’m used to mounds of meat falling off(for the same price). The sauce was very good, but portion size for the Gyro was small. I’ll wait until I go home to DC to eat a gyro next time. The picture taken does give you a good idea of GYRO size… the guys THUMB is almost the width of it. Good for the amount I got, it would’ve gotten 3.5−4 stars if the amount was more.

Loving the food here – so is my wallet :). Man, do they know how to treat meat here! They have this creamy garlic paste that sets meat off perfectly and I swear there is something addictive in it! The beef kebab and the gyro are scrumptious, the chicken pretty decent according to my friend.(I’m not a chicken kinda gal when I go out to eat, I figure if I can make it at home easily and cheaply, why order chicken from a restaurant?) When you order, the handsome, softspoken chef will ask you how you want the kebabs done and he is very particular that he gets it right for you. WTG, hunky mediterrannean dude! Do yourself a favor and try some of Quick Kebab’s lower priced items first — appetizers, wraps, the lunch and dinner daily specials; you get a beverage and you’re still under 10 bucks per person. Only venture into Filet Mignon kebab plate territory if you’re prepared to regularly breach the 10 dollar budget, because once you’ve tried that, you’ll be spoiled. From there on it’s a slippery slope to the Governor plate(Arnold? Hee hee) and you’re lost forever to tightwad spending. Not«fast food», but pretty quick. It’s the kind of place where you order at the counter then sit down and somebody brings your food to you. The service is gracious and correct. After the meal, if you still have room(doubtful), finish off with a piece of baklava. There are other desserts but let’s be frank, baklava is the crowd pleaser we all crave. Honey-induced diabetic coma, yum! I hope the owners are reading this, because I can’t let this review end before I mention that Quick Kebab is a great little place that deserves better than the leftover Quiznos decorating scheme. You look around and there’s these tacky Italian motifs all over the walls. A simple coat of paint could do wonders here.

Quick Kebab I like the name of it, and its a Mediterranean joint that sports Quiznos colors! I came here one night and really I wanted to try out there Kebbe, but they told me that they don’t have any? I was like okay that’s fine, I needed a starter so I went with the Cigar Borek that looked interesting, along with the Chicken Kebab and an order of the Beef Kofta. Between the Chicken Kebab and the Beef Kofta, I gotta go with the Beef because the Chicken Kebab was a disappointment, it had shredded chicken, the meat was dry and it made it plain, as simple as that. The Beef Kofta was okay it was tasty, the main thing in this wrap was the beef and the yogurt and tomatos added a little bit of something that I can remember. The Cigar Borek was cool, there like small rolls that tasted to me like cheese bread and it made up some likeness I lost from the Chicken Kebab. Overall I would give this place 2 solid stars due to them not having the Kebbe available, lackluster Chicken Kebab, I was not given any garlic paste at all, note: I don’t have to ask for these things at Zankou. I spent about $ 18 for three items here, I felt short-handed and the experience could have been better or maybe if the portions were just right. Don’t get me wrong you will get some good food here but driving this part of Beach Blvd. I’ll just be a passer-by.

IT’S 2FULLWEEKSLATER — ANDTHE GIFTCERTIFICATESARESTILLFORSALE!!! Not cool. Again, if it’s my business, if someone is marketing me without my approval — I get it down instantly. If I am in the wrong, I’m damn sure I make good to the customer who gets screwed. Or… as this restaurant is STILL doing… NOTHING…and possible screwing over others. NOTCOOL. FIXIT.

Hurts me to do this but I have to knock off a star from Quick Kebab and take it off my «Ultimate restaurant» list. Donna and I met up with Michael P. for lunch at one of my favorite places Quick Kebab. The food was still 5 star spectacular so why knock it down a star? Well… seems like on weekends due to it being slow they don’t have anything in stock. Smoothies? Nope… they don’t serve those ever… nope… don’t know why they still have it on the menu and website. Beef schwarma? Nope… Specials of the day? Nope… just on the weekdays… Babaganoush? Nope… Fried lentil things? Nope… Soo… what does that leave us to eat… Well, I had the chicken schwarma which was cooking on the spit. It was a HUGE portion served over rice. It was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Not a single piece of gristle. 5 star dish that was even good later eaten as leftovers. Donna had the vegetarian platter but since they didn’t have ½ the items available it was a bit of a joke. They offered to substitute the missing items with a Greek salad… geez, thanks. Why not make everything available or not even offer it all on the weekend? How about knocking a buck or too off the price? Michael had the Gyro wrap which he enjoyed. Gyro was also cooking fresh on the spit. We were in there for awhile after eating talking and the employees were nice enough to give us some complimentary Turkish tea. It tasted a lot like chai tea but without the cream. It was delicious and a great way to end a meal! I still love this place and highly recommend it but stick to the weekdays unless you’re ok with the limited menu. All the food is good so it’s not that big of a deal… but it was a bit frustrating when I’ve been bragging about the place to Donna for months and they didn’t have anything she wanted. Sat-Sun appears to be an afterthought for this restaurant.

I met Chris and Donna D. for lunch here today since the 3 of us love Turkish food and, because Chris and I both(before we met) used to go to this great Turkish restaurant that had lunch buffets down past Todai is now closed. So this option according to Chris D. is a great option and I was all game to nosh my heart out with good food and great company too. My order: Large Gyro Wrap, extra pickles and a yogurt drink-$ 9.75 Very good! Chris and I split these little cigar shaped cheese filled delights and both Chris and Donna’s dishes looked good but, I didn’t take any nibbles(I’ll just order them next time). However, since I had to bar tend at 11PM and I needed to look svelte since this was a shirtless venue I enjoyed my Gyro so there would be no need for a girdle. We had the whole place to ourselves and the meal was topped off by some very tasty Turkish tea with a teaspoon of sugar from all 3 of us compliments of the restaurant. Very authentic and took me here:
And, if this handsome favorite Turkish singer of mine came in I would have been in heaven: The trip to the gun store was a nice ending for an afternoon nosh; Donna saw a pink handled revolver and I saw a nice 40 caliber just calling my name for $ 663; I’ll stay with my two .22 calibers that my uncle bought for me; Donna and I could have stayed for another hour for sure.

Friend: you want to try some Turkish food? Me: TURKISHFOOD??? I’m all about Mediterranean food. Friend: beef or chicken? Me: I WANTCHICKEN! Friend: let’s go to Quick Kebab! Me: OK freaking love it! I am blown away at how delicious my chicken plate was! I totally dig the garlic dip when mixed with the yogurt. yogurt’s a bit runny but it’s cause I was waiting to discover how GOOD the sauces are when combined with the chicken. How orally orgasmic! The rice is super soft and has pine nuts in it! so yummy!!! I have never been so pleased and devoured a plate so quickly. Chicken was kind of dry, but friend mentioned that usually the chicken is moist. I will have to come back again and update! Will definitely come back here(maybe today! :D) for a beef kebab plate and hummus!

I’ve been waiting to try this place for awhile. Finally, the time has come. BF and I ventured off around 7PM to this place on Hazard & Beach Blvd. Looks like a Quizno with its green and red sign, but it’s not. It’s right next to an insurance company in a newly built plaza that I’ve passed by so many times before. Well, not exactly new, but probably a couple of years old. At any rate, we were disappointed that there was no more filet mignon period. The horror. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, while bf had a meat pita that looked more like a sausage(can’t recall the name)… Mine was definitely the better of the two. It was juicy, looked like a burrito, cut in half, had plenty of onions, and oodles of flavor. Not to mention, it was spicy! Loving it and the spices they put into it, you can totally taste it. It was really tasty! The pita bread on my bf’s wrap was delicious. Fresh. Soft. Pillowy. Definitely beat my wrap’s wrapper and blew it out of the water. It also came with two small slices of pickle. Not bad for the price. Next time, I think we will be coming earlier to get some filet mignon and try the hummus.

Parking’s very limited. They should really say something to people who park in the plaza & go elsewhere, like the Vietnamese temple(?) next door. Or reserve some parking spots just for their place. Having such a hard time finding a spot is already a no-no for me, so I better get what I want. It was lunch time, I went in & there was only one occupied table. Hmm? I went up to the register to order & they didn’t have 3 of the 7 items I ordered so I kept having to switch around. Already felt«ehh.» about the 2nd time they said they didn’t have something. Then when I was ready to pay, they said they didn’t accept the certificates anymore. Okay? Then take the time to take themselves off the site or something. I told my dad what happened & he just said«Let’s eat somewhere else instead» & indeed we did. The main point of this update was to notify users that they don’t accept the certificates anymore, so don’t bother purchasing it!

That was quick. The Quiznos that used to occupy this space lasted about as long as John Gosselin’s solo TV career. Oh well, Quiznos sucks anyways. I think the name Quick Kebab refers to how quickly it moved in to the old Quiznos spot. They kept the ‘Q’ from the marquee and added«uick Kebab» to it. That always brought a smile to me when I’d drive back from the Best Buy. Had it not been for it being void of ambition-less sandwich making teenagers, you’d think you were inside a Quiznos. I don’t know Jack Schitt about Turkish food(I’m assuming this place is Turkish). Just throwing that out there in case you were expecting me to be proficient on the topic of kebabs. When I hear the word Turkey, several ideas come to mind. Thanksgiving Some country far away Jive Looking at the menu, I must’ve looked like a walrus about to get devoured by an orca, because the owner was kind enough to go over the menu and practices very diligently. How everything was fresh and never used the next day. How if something runs out for the day, that’s it for that… so on and so forth. However, while he was explaining everything, I noticed my mind started to wander and wasn’t really paying attention to him(in instances like this, I let it do what it wants. It’s too powerful for me to control). All I kept thinking was that this nice man sounded and looked like John Lovitz. Yes, a Turkish John Lovitz. So now I’m back to not knowing what to order. We pick two entrees by pointing and mumbling numbers and add hummus. Without getting into too much detail about the food(because I’m not good at it), I’ll just say it was very good. The filet mignon wrap(don’t know if that’s the actual name) was great. The governor plate(its actual name) was an ass load of food(I’m eating leftovers for lunch today). The hummus was outstanding and so was the little pile of garlic goo on the side. I put that on everything. He also let us sample the daily special which was a type of Turkish Shepard’s Pie from what I can tell and it was good too. Filet mignon seems to be their weapon of choice. He also gave me a free Turkish soda pop, Çalmica. Now I’m going to go peek inside my cooler and marvel at my leftovers now. Then I’m going to go pee because I just drank a cup of coffee and tea and that goes through me faster than Lindsay Lohan goes through a kilo of Bolivian cocaine. Word is bond.

This is a great spot even though you might mistaken it for QUIZNOS. I was surprised with how good the food tasted. I ordered the chicken plate and the chicken was really good. It also came with this garlic hummus that was AMAZING! The pita bread was soft and enjoyable. The only thing that tasted awkward was the salad dressing. It was a great meal and I’ll definitely return. My friend ordered the beef plate which wasn’t bad either. I am curious to see how the filet mignon tastes there. I’ll be back! I’ve also heard good things about the falafel. Recommendation: The Chicken Plate with extra garlic hummus!

Ok, so i’m being told by my friend that this isn’t strictly Turkish food, she said it’s Lebanese. It’s middle eastern, that’s all I can tell. The guy I talked to is from izmir in Turkey, and I think the cashier said that one of the cooks is Armenian. Those countries’ foods are somewhat similar, but never say that to their face… My ignorant mouth and I have gotten in trouble before. S-: I forgot to mention the negatives in the last post. The food is «normal» in proportion. My widening American waistline was still hungry, despite the fact that the amount of food they give you is completely adequate to nourish a human being. I need to fix that. Dumb American restaurants and their fattening, value adding portions! Oh, also don’t let the name fool you, they’re not«quick». Maybe they’re still getting the hang of things, but it takes a while to get your food, so plan for that. They haven’t had their«grand opening» yet. Still good for not being a real sit-down restaurant. I had the chicken shwarma«sandwich»(more like a wrap) and the beef schwarma plate(told you — small portions, widening Nick). Both were flavorful, none were spicy. Yummy is good. I’ll have to find out which ones are spicy. maybe I could just ask.
