I’m not a fan of «fast food» as such, but I love counter service restaurants that are quick and fairly cheap. The food here is delicious, and I can pretend it’s healthful because the bowls include lots of veggies(although when I smother the bowls in sauce it’s probably not as healthful as I think). The lone vegetarian entrée is the tofu bowl, but it never gets boring because you can mix it up with 4 different sauces. I always get the teriyaki because it’s my favorite, but the other sauces are good too, like the Jamaican jerk. The tofu is nice and crispy and you also get your choice of rice(I usually get brown). There are two sizes of bowls, but even if you get the smaller size, there will be enough for leftovers. The other item I always get is the Rumbi fries, a mixture of sweet potato and regular fries, served with some kind of fattening but yummy pink sauce. The atmosphere is fun and kitschy, and there is often Hawaiian or tropical music playing in the background. The staff here has been consistently friendly and helpful, and they always give you extra sauce with your to-go order, or whenever you ask for it.

Mahi Mahi plate is awesome, very moist & tasty with fresh lime. Caesar salad side that comes with it is very yummy too. And you can get it with brown rice. I think it’s great food for a great price & as close to what you can get in Hawaii for being in CO!

YUM! I just tried this place last week and it was delicious, pretty healthy and the price was right! I tried the salmon with cocounut Rumbi rice and my boyfriend had the pork sandwich with some papaya Hawaiian ale and it was awesome! I loved the flavors and love it when I see a menu with so many good things on it I can’t decide what to try. Can’t wait to go back and try other items! Definitely try this place out :)

what happened to this place… in the past it was good… now not so much… they have rumbi rice which is red beans and rice with a touch of coconut milk which really adds alot of flavor… i also liked their chicken sandwhich which has a grilled pineapple slice on it(sounds odd i know but its actually really good)…their sweet potato fries and dipping sauce are still good but thats about it… if you can find one of these thats ran well its worth it otherwise dont bother

Rumbi is one of those places where your enjoyment completely depends on what you order. They have some items that are really good and others that will leave you disappointed. Hopefully I can help. The first time I went to Rumbi I had the Luau Pork Plate. It was almost $ 9 for about $ 5 worth of food. The pork across the street at Chipotle is so good, which makes the Rumbi pork bad in comparison. The food was okay, but I left disappointed. I had the sweet potato fries, though, and they were a highlight. I knew I’d be back for the fries one day. My fellow diner had a chicken teriyaki bowl, which he didn’t like. It was steamed veggies, cut-up chicken and sauce. Nothing was mixed together or cooked together. It was pretty bad. That was a couple years ago, and I hadn’t gone back for the fries or anything else. Then, a few months ago I tried their chicken tortilla soup. Now I can’t stop going to Rumbi every couple of weeks. It’s insane! They make it with coconut milk and it’s the yummiest soup ever. You can get it with a little salad(Caesar or house) that is fresh and good and just the right amount. It’s a perfectly perfect lunch. It’s odd to find a bad, boring restaurant with a single, super-inspired dish. No matter — I’ll keep going back for the soup. Seriously, you HAVE to try it!

We decided to go here after wandering around for about 5 hours looking at apartments. To me the food tasted like Tokyo Joe’s. Too saucy. I had a shrimp rice bowl type thing and the shrimp were smaller than cocktail shrimp and kind of cold. My wife had a chicken bowl thing that also had some fried shrimp and I don’t think she was overly plesae either. I had one of the shrimp and it was the best thing I ate. My 3 year old son who devours rice wouldn’t barely touch his. I attribute that to the sauce. Overall I would say it was a less than average experience. If I was stuck between McDonald’s and Rumbi I would go with the McD’s… Not impressed at all.

Their sweet potato fries were definitely the highlight of my meal. Everything else was pretty much like an Islands. The food is good and there’s plenty of it. :)

Well, I went to this place forever ago so I’m reviewing based on that experience. I believe I ordered the Luau pork plate and I actually remember it being pretty good. But… my hubbys dish wasn’t memorable(what did he eat? Don’t remember, just remember it wasn’t tasty). So why haven’t I been back there? Well, that would be cause of our several kids I’ve mentioned before… not so many options on the kids menu. And I threw up a little in my mouth when I realized we had paid $ 4.99 for a bowl of kraft mac n cheese… that’s just messed up. I just took a look at their website and, well the pics of some of the food actually look really appetizing, the soup, the key lime pie, mmmmmm, so I’ll have to give it a second chance and maybe re-yelp it.
