Jeff and Ren install a solar light for me. The work and professionalism was excellent. I would use them again.

Jeff was referred to me from Velux blinds. He was able to do a good job at ordering and installing the blind. So far, so good. He was able to come right to my house and measure and order the blind and then install it within a week. We did a solar powered remote control blackout blind and it looks great. Be aware you may need to have someone else do any finish work if necessary. Jeff focused mainly on the install of skylight and blind. He did not replace the molding or mount the control panel.

My contractor referred me to Velux brand skylights about a year or so ago. When I contacted Velux, they gave me three«Approved» installers in the Orange County area. I met with the owner and operator of Skylights Plus(Jeff) and he told me that Velux would not honor the warranty on their skylights unless they are installed by an «approved» contractor of theirs. He also told me that no one in Orange County could do the job due to how complicated our particular job would be(all he was doing was removing existing skylights and replacing them with Velux). We later found out that this was a complete lie and we could have kept the warranty and had our own contractor do the work. Our contractor ended up having to re-do all of Jeff’s work anyhow as it was the worst job I’ve ever seen! We were extremely disappointed in Jeff’s work, professionalism, and integrity. He used cheap particle board, had nails sticking out all over, and didn’t even paint he particle board white to match the skylights! The skylights were part of a bigger project(a rooftop deck). Jeff refused to start work any earlier then 10AM, stating that«he didn’t like to fight the morning traffic so he did his paperwork at that hour». This made it impossible for him to coordinate with our General Contractor who was there during normal construction hours or(7:30AM — 9AM). Because of Jeff’s absolute refusal to accommodate our request that he start work at the same time as the General Contractor(7:30AM/8:00AM), the communication between our two vendors was terrible and it pushed our project back from being completed for weeks, costing us thousands of dollars! When Jeff worked on the inside of our skylights, he scraped our stucco so that the paint came off and there were obvious holes all around that needed to be patched and painted. He attempted to clean this up, but it became very apparent, that he had no idea what he was doing! He made a mess all over our freshly cleaned white carpet(stains and all) and tried to lie to us that it wasn’t his fault. Since the carpet cleaner came the day before the huge carpet stains showed up, it was pretty easy for us to figure out what happened. We ended up having to re-do all of his work as my 7 year old nephew could have done a better job! I have remodeled several houses and I would NEVER hire or recommend this guy to anyone! We have pictures of his incredibly poor work and I’d be happy to share them with anyone who wants to PM me. He had his buddy(who is really a guy that works with him AND makes money indirectly through his work) write a review to cover himself for this poor review. I’d be happy to share evidence on that as well(via PM) because I would really hate to see anyone go through what we went through with this business! My recommendation is to have a contractor you trust install any Velux products.
