I know this store at 8533 Church Ranch as Standley Lake Marketplace Liquor, though they don’t have a sign that I have seen. It is a great store, great selection, great service. My first choice for shopping, not overwhelming, but usually has what I am looking for.

Friendly staff, clean store, and their frequent buyer program is awesome(spend $ 500 and get $ 10 off your next purchase, and no time limit)! The wine selection is vast and delectable, and definitely the better prices you can find in town!

I moved to Westminster from Capitol Hill, where I was a loyal Argonaut customer. Moving away from such a wonderful liquor store was scary. I have been consistently happy worth this store, though. The employees are always friendly, prices are decent, and they always have a great selection. I usually manage to find a beer I haven’t seen before when I come in here, and enjoy experimenting with their choices. They also have a points/rewards program, though I couldn’t tell you the specifics of it as I don’t go enough to have earned enough points to cash in on them. They’ve made the move so easy I can’t say I’ve even missed Argonaut at all.

It’s late at night. You’re in a hotel, and want to celebrate an occasion with your spouse. Some wine or a beer might be nice. Travel down — find a store that says LIQUOR on it — doesn’t seem like a good start, but ok. Walk in, surprised — nice liquor selection(even Papillon at under 50 bucks)… Buy some beer, go to the counter, and engage in small talk — repeating the above. The counter agent reaches over, grabs a bottle opener, says, «99 cents. You’ll thank me later.» He was so right.
