Its summertime, which means we were unpleasantly surprised when our AC failed. Luckily, its a Carrier unit & the Carrier company was able to refer me to several HVAC companies in my area. I called Hearthstone & was briskly told«please hold» before I could even say ‘Hello’. After patiently waiting on hold for 3 minutes, the scheduler returned to the line, asked if I was named Mike, & when I tried that I wasn’t, was told«oh, hang on then» & placed on hold for another 4 minutes. When the scheduler returned to the line, I described the problem & when I gave my location(the next town over from them) received a heavy sigh as if my call were a bother. The scheduler then went on to tell me what she COULDN’T do. I.e. «we can’t come out today. You’ll have to wait. «. I explained that I didn’t need anyone to come out for another week. I thought I was being proactive by calling trying to schedule a full week ahead of time, but apparently that was a burden on them too because the scheduler said«nope. We can’t do that. We’ll come out on the 16th.» I thought it odd that she didn’t even try to propose any times for the 15th or ask ME if there were other days that worked well for me. Instead, when I said the 15th wouldn’t work, she just said«sorry, bye.» & hung up. I was just left aghast at the subpar service & people skills. Good thing there are plenty of other authorized Carrier techs in the area. I’m not sure how their technicians are, but based solely on my interaction w their office staff, am in no hurry to find out.

Hearthstone has serviced my HVAC for over six years(and I bought an air conditioner from them). I cannot compliment them enough for the courtesy and professionalism of both their office staff and technicians. They are knowledgeable about all current aspects of HVAC and excellent at providing recommendations to fit my home and budget. I really trust them.
