They get 3 stars because at one time a gentleman had assisted us with our wood stove and was very good about it but the customer service there has to change because my husband just basically guy laughed at it was trying to buy wood very rude very considerate don’t recommend talking to whoever the woman is behind the desk try to get a guy.

I was in a bind recently with this cold snap and decided to visit their website for some dry firewood. I was very happy to see the I could take my pickup there and fill it with wood. To my surprise when I arrived I was told they only allow wood to be picked up on Saturdays! Hmm. I told them I drove a half hour to get it and would load it myself which I could see the piles. Nope, sorry that is the policy the woman told me. So, maybe you want to state that policy on your website so others don’t waste their time. Take notice if you want to load your own only SATURDAY and only a certain time of day. I didn’t even hear the time I was so mad and left in a hurry. Poor customer service all around.

This is our first winter with a woodstove, so most of our woodpile ranges from greenish to semi-seasoned, and even the seasoned stuff is still a bit iffy. The mister and I needed some truly dry wood to get our fires hot enough, so we sprung for a cord from Treehugger Farms. It’s truly beautiful, nice enough to stack indoors and not make a giant mess of bark and dust and bugs. Burns fantastic, too. We start off with that and then move to the cheaper wood from our own fallen trees or Craigslist after we hit the hot zone. Treehuggers was prompt and delivered the wood exactly where and how the mister directed to keep it out of the mud and snow, and I stacked it myself after they left. It’s obviously a little pricier than Random Firewood Dude, but worth it for good kindling and young fires than the cheaper stuff.
