August West Chimney Sweeps

I’ve had a few companies come, one told me the crack in the chimney meant the the fireplace was shot but for $ 13K he’d get me a new one. One didnt show up. Then someone recommended this company.
First of all, he works by himself, calls you back between 7 – 9 to schedule. I was worried that he wouldnt show but he was here on time. Told me he didn’t need to sweep (I thought we needed that, so he could have done that regardless and collected the $), fixed a smoke problem we had, inspected the heating system all the while teaching me how everything works. I appreciated that. He told me to repaint the chimney and that the crack was just stucco. His rates are so reasonable and he was very thorough.
One more thing — he so reminded me of the chimney cheep in Mary Poppins — the hat, the demeanor… He tipped his hat as left — I almost wanted to check whether he really had a car out there… :)
I will most definitely call him again.

Dave is the best in this business. He is smart, honest, quick and knows his craft. If you have a historical house, he is your guy.
