Had a lot of questions about Dr. Augustino/Memorial West’s procedures and protocol– come to find out this is not the doctor or place for me, because a birthing center would more what I was looking for.(essentially everything they do in the hospital is not for the comfort of the mom/baby– it’s to cover them in case of a lawsuit, they have a high c-section rate at Memorial West of about 35% per the doc) My exam was extremely short and there was no discussion about vitamins, diet, nutrition, do’s/don’t etc. Which I thought was very odd. He did allow me to ask a lot of questions about continuous fetal monitoring, delayed cord clamping etc– he was very honest which I appreciated and gave me the information I needed. His reception staff was less than personable… odd for a small practice who will see patients on a monthly/weekly basis. I haven’t selected a birthing center yet and wanted to make a follow up appointment to have bloodwork, urinalysis performed, etc. They refused to see me after letting them know I would be choosing a birthing center. WOW! A doctor refusing to make an appointment with me… that’s a first.

My first impression of Dr. Augustino was very positive. He was very friendly and made me feel at ease. We discussed my concerns and he took his time answering my questions. The Weston facility was clean and welcoming. The wait time was reasonable. I read many positive reviews about him and am now excited to add another one to the list. I am very happy I chose Dr. Augustino. I will definitely be going back.
